Lost in Adaptation: The Lightning Thief

Fascinating review and the calming filter is sheer genius. I can think of several other reviewers who would enjoy its soothing effect.

The only nice thing I can say about this movie is its existence is why I read the books. And then the subsequent series and the Kane Chronicles. Prior to this movie being made I didn't know the books existed and would have missed out on them without it. Pretty much everything regarding Hades and the underworld was the most frustrating and disappointing changes to me. It was so much more interesting in the book, which is normally not a thing I say when a lot of the changes are visual since I am bad at picturing things from written descriptions, so visual changes don't normally bother me much. But here the changes were so drastic and just so predictable... Hades dresses like a rock star! So original! No one has ever thought of that before! Why would we dress him in the cloth made out of the souls of the dead when we can make him look like a walking cliche?! And the whole Persephone thing made me rant at anyone that would listen... What the hell was the point of that?! Loved the calming filter bit. I enjoy watching angry rants but also appreciate thoughtful critiques which tend to get lost in rants, and I thought that the filter was a hilarious way to satisfy both!

Pure gold! That filter had me in stitches. XD Yeeeesh I'm so glad I never knew about the movie. I would be filled with regret if I paid 12 bucks to see a movie that left out some of my favorite things (and got majority of the story wrong...) Your videos are really improving in quality too! I love the new animations that were added!
