The Future of my content
Added 2024-10-28 23:47:36 +0000 UTCHello everyone,
It’s been a while since I wrote something to communicate a few things I’d like to share with you about producing content on my social media and what the future holds for the Bluefrok project. I’ll try to keep it as brief as possible, but I would appreciate it if you could read through the entire message to understand where my work is headed.
Improving the Quality of My Work
I've had the Bluefrok account for about 3-4 years now, and I've been creating quite a bit of content since then, both on YouTube and other social platforms. However, I recently noticed a personal decline in certain projects that I’m no longer happy with. I think this is because I’ve been pushing myself to produce a lot of content at the cost of quality and my health, which has recently been impacted by the continuous use of the computer. I feel it's not at all healthy to be glued to a monitor for 8-10 hours, especially while sitting for long periods. So, I’ve decided to slow down the pace of production to focus on maintaining and improving the quality of my future projects. This also applies to Patreon members; I want to provide better exclusive artwork, so I plan to commit more to the minimum of 4 exclusive drawings per month I proposed several months ago. My goal is to deliver better-quality works to those who have been supporting me on this platform for over a year, aiming to provide even better drawings and projects going forward.
Turning My Hobby Into My Work
I don’t think I’ve ever shared this openly, but animation and drawing have never been my full-time job. Contrary to what many might think, I’ve mostly done this because I love art and creating my own works. Of course, it’s helped me financially, but I’ve never been able to live off it 100% without worrying about daily expenses. I’ve managed to balance things through social media, commissions, and freelance work for several years now, and I’ve been covering all my household expenses on my own for a couple of years, which hasn’t been easy these past three years. I no longer receive outside help from family, with the exception of one family member who lives with me, but I still bear most of the costs myself. As a result, I’ve been considering ways to turn this into my full-time job for a few years now.
250 Patreon Members to Sustain the Project
For now, I’ll continue producing content regularly as I have, but from now on, I’ve set a goal for a specific number of paid members to make this project sustainable. Achieving this goal would cover the basic expenses I need to continue dedicating time to drawing and creating content. If we reach the goal, I’d be able to produce more content since I wouldn’t have to worry about finding income each month. This would give me the stability to stay more active and productive. For now, I won’t be running a public campaign as I’m waiting to grow my audience a bit more before pushing this. But, if by chance you’re reading this, have been a longtime fan of my work, and are in a position to support me, I invite you to join Patreon—only if you can and would like to help. Given the current state of the world, I know this isn’t an easy decision, but if you’re an adult and would like to support my content, the invitation is open with pleasure. On Patreon, I offer several benefits, such as:
Exclusive pinup drawings each month (+18)
Early access to public works
Works in progress
Hi-res images
Monthly surveys to choose a Character of the Month
Access to the Discord server
A Few Final Words
Finally, I want to extend a special thank you to everyone who has supported me over the years, both to those who follow me on YouTube and those who support me across all social networks, as well as to Patreon Members who have given me the boost to keep creating content. I’ll do my best to keep the Bluefrok project going and continue producing content. I’m not sure if this will work out, but I’ll put in my best effort to keep drawing and animating in the future.
Thank you very much for reading.
