Title: The Hypertonic Lion Tamer

Ja Sun admires the form of his Vajra Gauntlets. He doesn’t know what will let his gauntlets rise to the level of incomplete Divine Armament if not the incomplete Trident! Not to mention he assimilated the Half-Broken Darkness Sword looted from Di Tian.

He sits within the wide and spacious hall that once housed the Trident, under the gazes of a paradoxically relieved/conflicted priestess and the former divine half of the Supreme Dragon God. His attire leaves little to the imagination as he wears a plain black tank top, his body sweating greatly after the exertion of assimilating and devouring the last of Poseidon’s Will within his Trident—it has its benefits, too! A pair of deep-golden gauntlets cover the length of his forearms, every bit flexible as human skin, but their toughness far exceeds what Ja Sun can achieve with his million-year-old external skin. Light and dark tiger stripes layer the left and right gauntlets.

He clenches his fists under the duo’s gazes as the three studded spots over both his knuckles elongate into three sharp blades—tridents. His gold-green pupils widen in amazement as he observes these knuckle blades. A swimming golden light flows in the blades, creating the illusion of the knuckle tridents birthing from perpetually liquid gold. A wave of his closed fist engages the edges of the blades, visibly creating a wavy fluctuation of Spirit Energy as he raises an eyebrow before looking at the annoyed Bo Saixi.

“Correct me if I’m wrong, but it should be the Law of Sea, right?”

“...Yes.” Bo Saixi admits, continuing reluctantly under his expectant gaze as she admits things feel simpler for her to accept as a whole with every passing day. Everything is different now. Even her former peer, Qian Daoliu, is different—no longer held back by God’s will and free to exert his full talent. “Law of Sea, Sky, and Continent are few of the ‘Territory’ Laws that imbue several different characteristics. My understanding of the Law of Sea, the extent to which Poseidon allowed me to understand, is that it infuses the elements of water, its healing properties, its temperamental nature, and great control over aquatic creatures.”

Ja Sun hums before looking at Gu Yuena, who touches her spear, calming the silver weapon. “My understanding of Territorial Laws is not high. I delve in pure elements alone.”

“What’s wrong with your spear?” Ja Sun inquires as he stands up, retracting the knuckle tridents as Gu Yuena smiles, “My spear is slightly temperamental.”

“Don’t weapons take after their owner?” Ja Sun points out. “My weapons never make such a fuss.”

“It’s because you’re probably dead inside,” Bo Saixi mutters off-handedly as Ja Sun blinks and grins. “On the contrary, I treat my weapon like my Priestess—” He snaps his finger as a harsh ‘wave’ crashes into Bo Saixi’s ass, almost sending her stumbling forward as her eyes widen and her nostrils flare while she crosses her arms behind her back, “—right.”

“Thank you for your assistance. It helped me save quite a bit of time,” Ja Sun nods at Yuena before looking at Saixi, “Would you like to stay with us instead of this boring place?”

“What?” She frowns.

“Isn’t this plaza just an empty nothingness where you tend to brood over your emotions?” Ja Sun walks over to her as his tank top returns to his body like his gauntlets, exposing his naked torso until a green robe covers his top. He stands inches away from her, smirking, “It’s bound to get boring even when you were Poseidon’s priestess. I don’t imagine the God of Crabs to be a good conversationalist.”

Bo Saixi frowns, “If I don’t want to? You take pride in not forcing your way around, no?”

“Who cares about you?” he shrugs. “I know that cutie Bai will visit us more if you’re living near us. So, you’re tagging along. And I understand my Master can bother others with his enthusiasm for eating bugs here and there, so you should regard him as the ‘special’ man and ignore him. That’s what she does.” He points at Gu Yuena with his thumb and grins. “Pack your bags. No priestess of mine is going to end up a brooding sob.”

“I don’t brood or pout,” Bo Saixi narrows her eyes. “But you will never understand—”

“Stop wasting my time with that boring talk,” Ja Sun snickers, “Come on. You have to know deep down this place does nothing for you, right? Your seven juniors will understand your decision.”

Bo Saixi hesitates, questioning, “Why do you really want me there?”

“For the shark girl. Now get ready!”

---

Well, it wasn’t a complete lie. Ja Sun wouldn’t chase after a girl ever since his ass became a divine prize, but he could set situations where others get a chance to chase him, right? It’s not a shameless thing to do, right?!

Bo Saixi, like Gu Yuena and Lan Ruo, will take more time to fit naturally within the group. But the grey-skinned Xiao Bai is quite outgoing to mingle with others the second she gets the chance to understand the new group without having to stick around with the awkward Saixi, who finds her peace in cultivation—not that Daoliu’s better pace in cultivation isn’t a motivating factor.

Xie Yue’s awakening also means Xie Xan or Hu Lana would accompany him daily to Sea Horse City for his practices. The Sea Horse Douluo or the other six Guardians aren’t the instructors but a group of talented Spirit Masters that made names for themselves within the island. The family’s routine leaves them little time to hang out with others as much as they used to since the parent left on the coast would look after Hu Liena or train if their daughter is sleeping. And they have to train, or they risk falling behind.

But it’s not like they don’t have time to relax.

*Crash*

Tides crash against the sandy beach as a young boy floats over the brilliantly clear sea, staring at the colorful fishes within the water, trying to reach them with his stubby hands. His black hair floats with the wisp of everpresent air, keeping him from falling and drowning. He looks around, seeing two more babies flying around him. One is a silver-haired boy, and the other is a black-haired girl as they try to swat each other away.

“Bwah!” cries Ja Liang as the silver-haired boy, Oscar, gets a slap in. But they lose their childish pettiness over the territory when a few fish jump out of the water, showering them with drops of seawater.

“Is it safe?” Jun’er bites her thumbnail as Oscar massages her back with copious sunscreen. On the other hand, Hu Lana remains calm as she reclines in her chair with a relaxed smile, a wide hat, and a rather modest red one-piece. The group’s seductress only brings her A-Game when her husband is there to admire her.

“Of course, it’s safe,” Ja Sun snickers as he sits between two backless Ah-Yin and Bibi Dong, massaging their backs with a hand each as they bask in the sunlight with closed eyes.

“The kids are lucky they get to have such fun,” Ja Sun adds enviously, “I wish I had an uncle as fun as I am who let me fly around! Now that’s childhood!”

“My Oscar beat your son,” Oscar snickers. “You owe me 10 Gold Coins.”

“We’ll save it for the bet of Oscar Jr’s martial awakening. I still think he will awaken a sausage martial soul,” Ja Sun smirks as Daddy Oscar instantly sours, scoffing. “I just hope he doesn’t have to activate his Spirit Skills with chants.”

“Heh, your daddy has long sausage,” Hu Lana mocks, given Oscar’s chants.

“What if the Spirit Skill had a similar effect?” Ja Sun adds with an amused grin.

“Don’t you have anything better to say?” Jun’er pouts. “What if your son awakens a Black Whip Martial Soul? You’d probably cry tears of joy!”

Jun’er’s words get a chuckle from Yin and Dong as Ja Sun rolls his eyes. “Oh, it’s funny?”

“Why wouldn’t it be?” Yin smirks, tilting her face to look back at him, winking, “You should hope it’s not a blue-silver whip.”

Ja Sun grumbles under his breath when Jun’er cries in shock as she sees a massive grey shark jumping out of the water and scaring the three children.

“Relax, it’s Xiao Bai,” Ja Sun mutters as they hear a soft giggle from within the water, “I was performing my usual patrol and hunt—couldn’t help but scare these kids. Aw, when do they stop crying?”

“What’s wrong with you?” Jun’er snaps as she looks at Ja Sun, who nods and creates a soothing wave of comfort quite similar to Daoliu’s aura of Comfort before calming the kids as the distractable children readily focus on the colorful fish again.

Xiao Bai slowly walks out from the water, her wet, white outfit drying at a pace visible to the naked eye before she raises an eyebrow at Ja Sun’s current condition. “Where is Saixi?”

“She is training in the chamber.”

The Shark Girl thins her lips, “When will she come out?”

Ja Sun shrugs, “Who knows? I couldn’t create as large of a time distortion as I wanted, and the stream of the River of Time I could divert into the array was thinner than I hoped. Ten days in that chamber is one day outside.”

“But the real question is if she would last within the chamber with Xiao Wu and Bei,” Hu Lana giggles as she pulls another recliner from her spatial ring for Xiao Bai.

“No, thanks,” the grey-haired girl shakes her head and declines the offer to relax before questioning curiously, “Where’s the whale?”

“You know how to enter the spatial artifact,” Ja Sun waves her off, “It’s in the house, my room.”

“Hmm,” Xiao Bai nods and smiles, “Thanks. I still can’t believe that arrogant bitch bends over so readily for you~!” It’s clear that the sharks don’t mingle well with the demonic whales.

“That’s what I do,” Ja Sun accepts the praise with a prideful sniff, “I fold prideful bitches for fun.”

“Hey!” Jun’er scowls.

“What are you worried about?” Ja Sun shoots her a scornful look. “You ain’t prideful!”

Jun’er huffs in dissatisfaction as Xiao Bai smiles at the group one last time before leaving to see the progress of the baby-making array for her ‘reasons.’

“I wonder if we’re too relaxed,” Bibi Dong raises her view on their routine. They DO practice, but the intensity is a far cry from how they used to practice before their tournament.

“I, for one, didn’t reach my level to seek more power,” Ja Sun smiles, lying between his wives as they turn over and snuggle against him. “It was all for days of relaxation like this.”

“It’s good enough with the right people,” Ah-Yin chuckles before feeling someone beside them and seeing an impish Hu Lana spooning her. “And I don’t mean you, Lana.”

“Aw! I thought I was ‘right’ for everyone~!” She giggles as Oscar pecks Jun’er’s forehead and calls out, “How about I set a grill? The kids should be getting hungry about now, too, right?”

“I still can’t believe I’m not allowed to share Ja Liang’s dining ‘area’ at the same time. Like he can only use one of them!” Ja Sun scoffs as Oscar laughs, “My complaint exactly!”

Jun’er and Yin stare at their men with apparent disgust while Ja Sun looks at Lana, “What about you? You and Xan have experience with Yue, right?”

“He can get anything he likes as long as I get what I like later when the kids sleep,” Lana grins playfully as Bibi Dong rises, huffing, “I’m hungry. But it’s enough relaxation for me. I’ll enter the Time Chamber after we share a meal.” She leans forward to peck Ja Sun’s lips. “My speed of cultivation is nowhere near Yin when she enters her special forest.”

“Perks of being a born Empress,” Yin smirks smugly.

“Great,” Ja Sun grins. “But take it easy.”

He casts a furtive glance towards Bibi Dong’s belly as she purses her lips before pecking his lips again, “You’re meaner than you let others on, Sage God.”

Lana stares at their interaction with surprise before her lips part in shock, “Wait! Really?!”

Bibi Dong shrugs, “Ja Sun raised a good counter to my earlier points. I want to enter my tribulations by taking Qian Xunji’s torse armor for my torso spirit bone. I could die trying any of them. It’s just better to experience as many things as I can in this period of peace.”

She smiles widely at Ja Sun, “And it would be disheartening to see Ja Yin achieve her dream of ‘a tribe of litters’ before we have a child.”

Ja Sun is about to kiss Bibi Dong with all his passion when his expression changes, and he looks toward the children. His nostrils flare, and his eyes widen with joy and pride as he sees Ja Liang managing to slap Oscar Jr’s and Liena’s heads.

“Ha! That’s my son! Just like me!”

“A bully?” Lana pouts.

“Damn right!” Ja Sun grins as others sigh with fond smiles of their own.

They will admit to anyone in this world that they love their Divine Bully.
