Title: TurnTables

“Veeee~!” Linda trills, calling a burst of light from within as her brown fur turns into a scheme of warm red and orange with violet eyes and a fluffier tail than usual. Her barks change into a proud—Flareon—as she jumps upon Ja Sun’s shoulder. She nuzzles her head against his as he sighs in relief. “Ah, Linda! You’re too kind,” he pats her head, causing her to cheer up as Ja Sun keeps an eye out on his son and others’ kids since the rest focus on training. He is fine with taking care of them, honestly.

As it turns out, growing up under a terrible father figure taught Ja Sun the key to parenting—love and attention. He showers the children with these two essential ingredients despite knowing they won’t remember much of their early childhood, but there’s also a selfish desire in Ja Sun’s heart to be wanted and admired by the children of his friends.

He could be THAT wonderful uncle!

Of course, since he doesn’t intend to gift the buggers anything too valuable, they would have to settle for his time, attention, and charm. To some, it is more expensive than gifts, but Ja Sun doesn’t delude himself in believing that children are anywhere near close in understanding that as long as they can get their hands on a fistful of—

“Why the fuck do children love eating dirt?!” Ja Sun mourns their stupidity as he displaces the sand in their hands, including his son’s hands, for food Oscar prepared for them.

As one might have it, taking care of children is pretty easy when you’re strong! They soiled their diapers? Law of Space to teleport it on some poor aquatic spirit beast! They hit themselves? Teleport a quietly painting Bi Ji to their location, earning him a very well-deserved groan. But Ja Sun likes seeing Bi Ji in her new favorite overalls for painting sessions. And ever the loyal junior, Zi Ji will always like modeling for Bi Ji to pass her time, and entirely NOT because she is always happy to see her likeness imprinted on more paper!

And to Bi Ji’s question as to why he wouldn’t stop them from getting hurt?

Because good parents let their children make mistakes from which they can recover! Life is the best teacher after Qian Daoliu, which Ja Sun experienced firsthand.

And then there’s Linda.

She has three forms, Evolutions, for now, conveying she is getting progressively better in learning other forms instinctively as if something inside her guides her growth—most likely one of the applications of the Law of Evolution on these very intelligent and usually friendly monsters that Ja Sun has yet to uncover.

Her current fiery form is what Ja Sun calls a Flareon. There are other Flareons in the small pack of Eevee Ja Sun brought Linda from.

Her other form attunes her to Water Attribute, turning her fur into slick bluish skin with a mane of white fins, a thick blue aquatic tail, and some fin-like spines growing from her face—a Vaporeon. The greatest thing about Vaporeon is her ability to turn into water within water bodies while controlling her mass—like a makeshift slime!

The third and final form in Linda’s arsenal might be the most aggressive of her forms—spiky yellow fur and sharp, almost explosive tail—Jolteon. And as the name suggests, it’s attuned to the Lightning Attribute with explosive strength and speed.

The ability to evolve in any form makes Linda quite the superstar back in her pack. So—

“Eon~!” A slightly huskier bark makes the distant, crawling Liena yelp and cry as another Flareon trots out of the bushes, seeing three crying children. After all, if one child cries, others feel emboldened to follow the course of noise pollution as the larger male Flareon panics, barking in soft coos to hush the children and showing enough intelligence to spark embers of fire from his tail to attract their attention.

It works.

Ja Sun almost laughs at this as he pets Linda one final time, encouraging her, “You should go play with them, too.”

She tilts her head before staring at him uncomfortably quietly before barking softly.

“Lonely? Because Yin is meditating?” Ja Sun chuckles, glancing around at the number of Blue Silver Grass around him. If Ja Sun and Bibi Dong exemplify the sky of the Sage God Island, then Yin, with her expansive, semi-perma domain, covers the vast island in the blink of her eyes! Then there is also the massive pool of Soul Origin under the Island’s confines due to thousands upon thousands of Spirit Beasts resting under the island for their final moments in the false hope of entering the Divine Realm.

“I’m not lonely,” Ja Sun snickers. “I’m even sure fate will bless me with someone else to talk to almost immediately once you leave me!” He glances at the distant bushes as Linda nods with a cheerful cry, more than happy to play with the children since she likes them just as much—until they pull her fur or vomit on her.

The children are menaces, someone Ja Sun wants to train for the ultimate Band with drums and all! Heck! That’s why he wanted to have 11 children with Ah-Yin in one go.

But she wouldn’t allow such madness.

She thinks being a good father is madness—the galls!

---

Violet slowly slips out of the bushes. Well, ‘slip’ is a relative term due to her stature as the bodacious gorgon beelines toward Ja Sun the second Linda frees her master. As a terribly loyal and dutybound disciple, Violet feels it necessary for Ja Sun to be the first person to see her as is, to see her as a human.

He glances at her as she knows full well he knew of her arrival long before, and his gaze lands on her long violet locks cascading down her back, well past her hips and curves till the back of her knees without ending into snake heads with minds of their own—sharing her brain cells most expressively. Two thick locks frame her fair face, parting her hair from the middle as her violet hues stare into his emerald orbs. Her tail and feathered wings are nowhere to be seen. Instead, she wears a baggy yellow robe that extends quite a bit from the front and tent down, making her look bulky. But everyone around Violet knows the truth. But that’s not the case with how her robes gracefully layer her hips and legs due to her thin belt cutting off the tented space around her waist.

‘It’s time, isn’t it?’ Ja Sun smiles while thinking internally. She is here to hold him his end of the bargain, a promise he made to her while teaching her the ropes. And from how nervously her hands are clenching the hems of the robes, Ja Sun presumes Violet is either going to demand all his wealth as her wish or something more—something the snap-brained children of theirs don’t yet value enough. Then again, they are infants.

“You look good,” Ja Sun appraises truthfully, adding, “Shouldn’t you be out in the sea with Lan Ruo and Yin?”  With Lan Ruo accompanying them, Xiao Bai did not need to escort the small group since the whale knew a lot more about the Ocean than the shark.

“I asked Lan Ruo to extract my share of materials since I felt close to accepting my human form last night,” Violet paces briskly, sitting beside Ja Sun as she smiles, “I’m glad my form is pleasing to you, Master.”

And such words do things to Ja Sun despite his acquired love for pain.

“Every form of yours is pleasing,” he grins, reaching out for her left bang to brush it aside before combing his finger down. “But if you’re happy with just that, you should know your ‘form’ isn’t even closer to what it holds within.”

Violet owlishly blinks before ducking from his gaze in a moment of fragility despite her unique poison, petrification, and more! She inadvertently recalls their first interaction, letting out a soft and whiny noise as she mumbles, “That’s unfair to say when I don’t even have a comeback.”

She hears him chuckle as he turns his attention to Liang, Oscar, and Liena.

“Now you can have children with other beasts, too,” she affirms after following Ja Sun’s gaze.

“Yep,” he nods. “I don’t have much left to do in this world aside from pumping kids should something happen to me during my ascension.” He wanted to have a chance to learn something amazing during Violet’s evolution. But he believes it’s a foolish endeavor. Heaven will not leave such simple loopholes unchecked. So, the possibility of learning something to counteract the consequential weakness by absorbing Gu Yuena is not avoidable. If it were so simple, someone like Gu Yuena would have discovered it after years of careful research on the matter.

“I’m sure nothing will happen,” Violet hums, her hand reaching for his as he shakes his head, not letting the peaceful environment delude him about the possible opponents awaiting him. The Island is peaceful because he is strong. If not, Qian Xunji or even Gu Yuena would have razed it into the seabed.

“It’s not the matter of something happening it or not. It’s a simple deduction. I will be at my weakest moments before the beginning of my ascension. That’s why I’m waiting. Sure! Spending time with you is my primary focus, but I’m waiting for the rest to catch up. I’m kind of glad I didn’t need to kick their butts to the curb before making it obvious,” he snickers, but his words have the opposite effect on Violet as she lowers her head. “I’m still too weak.”

“Nah, you’re plenty good, better than most because not many frenzied killing intent can stifle you anymore. Keep up with the training, and you’ll turn out just fine in six or seven years.”

She glances at Ja Sun, voicing her thoughts, “What if I wish to repay for everything by becoming one of your Martial Souls?” If she expected some kind of reaction—she found none. He shrugs nonchalantly. “Ordinarily,” he begins, “I would say no. But since this method basically forms a bond mimicking a martial soul and a host, only the host is on the receiving end of the immediate consequences. You still possess a body, mind, soul, and spiritual growth. It’s like a combination between a Spirit Soul and an Enlightened Martial Soul.”

Violet gasps, “Sorry! I shouldn’t have asked you to bear me as such a burden. I—”

“You came here for something, right?” Ja Sun waves her concerns with a movement of his hands, noting how it would be foolish to talk Violet out of her concerns since it is a sweet thing. She blushes slightly and ducks away from his gaze once more, mumbling, “I did.”

“Go on. A promise is a promise. You can ask anything I can fulfill.” Such is a statement past Ja Sun would laugh at, but he has grown kinder and more benevolent… to certain souls.

“I,” Violet coughs, audibly gulping as she glances down before tossing Ja Sun’s expectation out the window. “I wish to lay on your lap!”

Ja Sun hums loudly before nodding and patting his thighs while stretching them out, “Go ahead. But they won’t be as comfortable.”

“It doesn’t matter,” Violet glances down again before asking, “May I?”

“Yep. But is that it?” He tilts his head.

“Yes,” Violet nods seriously.

“And that’s why I love you,” he breaks into chuckles as deep crimson shades her cheeks before she goes down on her master with a deeply content expression, resting her head on his thighs while stretching her legs forward as she feels his hand unconsciously resting on top of her head, peacefully brushing her hair. She moans in pleasure, mewling, “That feels so satisfying.”

“I’ve been practicing it with Xiao Wu,” he admits. “She likes to lie on my lap and have me brush the top half of her hair while she—well, let’s not get into that.”

Violet blinks before she turns to her side, her face facing his crotch as a peculiar recollection surfaces from Gorgon’s recent memories.

---

“He even pats your head and brushes your hair?” Violet gasps, munching on baked cookies, another one of Oscar’s fantastic recipes, as Xiao Wu proudly sticks her chest out, thumping the spot above her breasts, “Yep! And he is so caring when he does that~!” she cooed with a soft blush.

“So what?” Erlong tilts her head, an unexpected guest in their conversation alongside a silent Snow.

“Why are you even here?” Wu sticks her tongue out. “Go bother Zi Ji or something!”

“Perks of training constantly, something a lazy bunny like you won’t understand. I get to rest when I wish,” she smiles, her oval face lightning up at a bite of the cookie as Wu pouts, snorting, “I’m a rabbit.”

“Do I look like the Dragon King who gives two shits about what animal you were?” Erlong blinks in amazement.

“Grrr!” Wu glares at the unruly dragon, unlike her slightly tamer mother, who would bury her head under Zi Ji’s glare. The young rabbit matches Erlong’s stare before the latter scoffs with a smirk. “But it’s noted. Rabbit.”

Wu’s expression shifts into a cute grin before tracking back to the topic as she states bluntly, “And then I turn to face him before taking his entire cock down my throat while brushes my hair~!”

Snow coughs loudly while cookie crumbles fall down from the corner of Violet’s and Erlong’s lips.

---

“Master,” Violet whispers, attracting Ja Sun’s attention as he glances down with a raised eyebrow.

“Erm,” Violet recalls that lewd gesture from Wu after revealing those dirty facts to the girls. Biting her bottom lip for a second, Violet gathers her courage before opening her lips wide open while tilting her head up for him to see it, rolling her long and fleshy tongue out while forming a ring around her lips with an index and a thumb. She almost hears Ja Sun’s breath hitch in surprise as he glances in his children’s direction.

While Violet understands the kind of position she is putting Ja Sun in, the truth is that she isn’t eager enough to demand his attention when he is sharing it with the rest, and finding him in such an ‘inviting’ position is too hard to pass on. Besides, she implicitly feels he should continue to fulfill her meager wishes after passing his training. She is about to speak something when she feels something hard press against her inner cheek.

‘But what about—’

She spread her senses only to realize that the three children, Linda and the wild Flareon, are nowhere to be felt.

---

Bo Saixi’s eyes twitch as she peers into Linda’s eyes as her presence pins the wild Flareon, all the while questioning as she tries to keep the three children from crying too loudly.

“Does he have no decorum?” She questions the intelligent Eevee, who cocks her cute face before barking, “Vee!”

“Why not just let Daoliu take care of them?” Saixi groans before glancing down at the three children, her heart almost melting at their sight as they clutch onto her while also trying to cry away from her.

“Sigh, whatever. Let no poor parent think that I cannot do whatever they can and better without having a child of my own.”

She muses with a snort, getting to work since she knows almost every corner of the Hyperbolic Lion Tamer as she simply lives here most of the time, cultivating back to her former glory—a furry one this time.
