Paradise of Infinity: 352

It doesn’t take long for Nik to absorb information sent by Ray. The information includes power systems like Nen, Stands, Magecraft, Spells, Chakra, Ki, Haki, Devil Fruits, Demons, Drugs, Reiatsu, Zanpakuto, Devil Contracts, Djinns, Breathing Technique, and more! It might sound like a lot, but most of it boils down to affinities, origin, willpower, innovation, and stuff. It’s eye-opening, really. Meanwhile, a thorough investigation of the Blood’s Exultation from Lava-Head makes Nik realize that its path differs from the knowledge of Magecraft and Spells learned from Ray.
For instance, Ray’s information contains extensive knowledge about two magic-based systems—Magecraft and Spells. They seem the same on the surface. However, one comes from a verse named Nasu, and the other emerges from the world titled Harry Potter. What’s the difference? The Magecraft/Magic of Nasuverse relies on the metaphysical chart known as the Magic Circuits born on one’s soul. Meanwhile, the spells in Harry Potter’s world are vague as their origins and classifications aren’t defined. In Ray’s experience, such vague power systems aren’t usually attractive to Hosts.
Of course, Ray’s information copy includes several spells and practices for every power system, or it wouldn’t be worth a fraction of the Rank 6 Golden Gift Box! As things are, Nik can begin practicing a few things if he’s feeling bored. He’s the most interested in Conqueror’s Haki because it can negate other abilities at a high level, Nen for its versatility, and Zanpakuto because of his connection with Mokshi. Things like Magecraft also endear to him since it’s based on one’s soul. So, Nik wants to see what his Mokshi-fused soul can produce.
Laughably enough… Nik feels the Power System of consuming Spirit’s essence and husks aren’t bad compared to the ones Ray offered. If he’s honest, Nik also expects his knowledge in bending the elements, or rather his attainment in elemental manipulation, to become a foundational support for his growth.
There are two reasons for this. First, elemental bending comes from the world of spirits used by humans. It’s to be known that humans aren’t at the top of the food chain in Avatar’s world. That position belongs to Primordial Spirits. So, Nik cannot go far with JUST elemental manipulation. He can do what he can because Mokshi allows him to manipulate anything he sets his sights on. So, Mokshi widens Nik’s scope of growth. Nik still has to follow through and train.
Second, Nik’s attainment of different elements can help him conjure various applications of the Power System with relative ease—spells, ninjutsu, Kido, magecraft, nen technique, ki techniques, etc.
So? How does Ray’s knowledge of Spell Craft differ from Lava-Head?
Well…
Lava-Head follows the magical system based on one’s bloodline, known as a Bloodline Warlock. This Power System is a sub-classification of a broader System—the Magi System.
{A/N: Warlock of the Magus World}
This system is based on developing and fortifying one’s mind using a Meditation Technique. A Meditation Technique empowers the spirit until it can hold innate spells. Only those of the same bloodline can use the Meditation Technique when it comes to a Bloodline Warlock. Such a system is classified into 9 Ranks. Each level of the Meditation Technique allows the Magi to advance to a higher rank, forming another Innate Spell.
Being at Rank 1, Lava-Head had the innate spell—Bloodflames. Nik saw it in action against the Xenomorph.
So, Ray’s Magecraft is based on the applications of magic for versatility, using the soul and magic circuits to convert Od (Life/Nature Energy) into Mana. Meanwhile, Lava-Head’s system is based on powering the spells using the enhanced spirit force and innovating new spell models.
Magic circuits are determined at birth. These are the so-called talent factors for the Magi and Nasuverse. Meanwhile, even an untalented Magi from Lava-Head’s system can become powerful should they find a High-Grade Meditation Technique.
Still, Nik wants to see his soul’s talent. He wonders how many magic circuits he can have. If anything, these two systems can even be combined.
Nik suddenly blinks.
‘So, that’s what Accu-mulet meant!’
Only after barely digesting all this information does Nik realize the terror the Prana Bindu can become as a support technique!
Prana Bindu is derived from two training purposes—Prana Nervature and Bindu Musculature.
This training method, heavily modified after years of practice by several hosts, sacrifices one’s energy to wash one’s body. Soaking the body with one’s energy allows the host to precisely control every reaction and twitch of the body. There are two ways to train it. The first, as mentioned, is to sacrifice one’s Chi and let it fuse with the body, allowing the host to effortlessly control every fabric of their being as they manipulate their energy.
The second method is to spend decades meditating and learning to master every reflex within the body.
Of course, Nik prefers the former.
Prana Bindu allows the mastery of oneself and everything within—mind and soul, too.
It will solve one of Nik’s crucial issues, something Ray expands on as freebie information—Bloodline Shackles.
Yes, Mokshi took care of the metaphysical aspect of the Shackle, something that haunts the likes of Lava-Head. There is no upper limit to Nik’s growth based on the shackles. But that’s only for the metaphysical side of things.
What about the body? What about his flesh?
He still gets intense sexual urges because his blood is a powerful aphrodisia.
It can be contained using Prana Bindu.
For Nik, Prana Bindu is something that will have lasting benefits once completed.
Although…
Nik needs more energy.
‘The booklet suggests several forms of energy, including chi and magic. But the amount is different… no, it should be the conversion rate. So, 1200 points of Chi is 120 points of Magic. Hmm. Magic energy must be ten times as dense as chi. It requires 2400 points of Ki and Chakra. So, Chi is twice as thick as Ki. What’s the difference? How will my status differ once I can wield different forms of energy?’
{A/N: The density of energy is based on how much it takes to exert the same feat and how they might rank based on their world’s ranking. For instance, Chi of the Avatar world is directly linked to Spirits (The Lion Turtles), who have a godly status in their own right. But that isn’t to say the Chi or Ki reserves translate to power levels like in Dragon Ball. That would be converting Ki into the fuel for physical exertion or transformations like Super Saiyan won’t make sense. These are just numbers based on my opinions of fictional worlds with already screwed-up power rankings. There’s no point in thinking more of it.}
‘Uh… I need more energy. Just 300 points of reserve won’t cut it.’
Nik recalls more of the information about Bloodlines.
It’s more complicated than just unshackling oneself.
The Bloodline Progenitors aren’t kindhearted saints to offer their bloodline to others. So? Why would they?
To integrate young blood into their Bloodline Tree.
Bloodline Tree is a Power System the Bloodline Progenitors use to expand their scope of affinities.
Bloodlines are classified into Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythical, and Unique.
The Bloodline Tree targets the creation of Unique Bloodlines.
It’s a common logic. Just because something is unique doesn’t necessarily make it better than something that exists. So, Unique bloodlines aren’t usually better than the Mythical or Legendary ones. However, every Bloodline Progenitor wants to include more Unique bloodlines into their Bloodline Tree.
So, here comes another shackle—Progenitor’s Space.
The Progenitor Space of Incubi Bloodline is a vast cavern with hordes of creatures engaging in mindless orgies around a tall mountain covered by a dim, sensual fog. Despite being unshackled, Nik’s spirit enters the Progenitor’s Space to complete the Bloodline Evolution. Why is that?
It’s for the Bloodline Progenitors to archive the new bloodlines. That’s how the Bloodline Tree comes to be!
The creation of a unique bloodline under the Progenitor has beneficial feedback for these mighty entities.
Still, Nik isn’t affected by these regulations. What will eventually affect him is that the connection with the Progenitor Space will allow the Bloodline Progenitor to learn about his Unique Bloodline should he ever make one. In Ray’s words, the best way to resolve this issue is to form one’s own Progenitor’s Space.
Surprisingly, Ray has one. So… she’s a Progenitor of a Bloodline—the cause of her unshackling.
It’s not an immediate problem since Nik benefits from the situation, but it’s nice to know about it instead of being blindsided.
Nik strokes his chin before opening the Silver Mystery Box.
It’s time!
[Silver Mystery Box opened. Please choose one of the following rewards.]
[Shapeshifter’s Legacy: A high-grade meditation technique with three levels, allowing the user to walk the path of a Shapeshifting Magi. (Additional Info: It’s an uncommon and inferior product of another High-Grade Meditation Technique.)]
[Alpha Xenomorph Queen Egg: An egg close to incubation of an Alpha Xenomorph Queen capable of laying superior Xenomorph Eggs. (Additional Info: The Queen attaches itself to its mother to function and doesn’t fall under another’s command.)]
[Astral Stone (10 KG): An infamous product used to form Astral Gates to venture into the Chaotic Dimensional Rifts and discover new worlds. (Additional Info: One’s body better be capable of enduring spatial storms.)]
Nik gazes at the rewards, frowning. There’s a pattern here. His previous Silver rewards were a Dragon’s Blade, a Bloodline Evolution Compound (Uncommon), and a Phoenix’s Feather. Those rewards felt attuned to Aang’s world.
However, this time, his rewards are leaning to the strengths of the Hosts traveling with him.
But these rewards are nothing to scoff at. The Shapeshifter’s Legacy offers another path to power. The Queen’s Egg would undoubtedly attract someone like Managed-Ant. And the Astral Stone… well, it feels redundant. Why would Nik need that if he’s already traveling to different worlds?
Given that these three rewards are useless to him, Nik bases his selection on what he can effortlessly sell at a high price.
‘Taking care of the Xenomorph Egg will be a hassle, and I won’t benefit from another High-Grade Meditation Technique since these seem to conflict with the bloodline. The only Meditation Technique I can use is the one tailored for the Twilight Spirit and its evolutions.’
He shrugs.
‘I don’t need to select any of them yet. These are my options. I can just keep them in the temporary space until I find a buyer for one of them.’
Not every Mystery Box will be valuable to him, so he doesn’t mind the issue and moves on to the Golden Mystery Box.
[Golden Mystery Box opened. Please choose one of the following rewards.]
[Blackhole and Whitehole Pen: Anything sucked inside the blackhole created from the blackhole pen appears on the other side through the Whitehole created using the Whitehole Pen. (Additional Info: This set does not include additional inks for the pen.)]
[Pass Loop: The host will be able to pass through any object the loop is placed on. (Additional Infor: The Pass Loop cannot attach itself to non-physical objects.)]
[Translation Bread Maker: A bread maker to create a Translation Bread Loaf that can allow the user to converse with anyone. (Additional Info: The ingredients for the bread making are not included.)]
Nik stares at the rewards before almost bursting into tears.
The first and second reward may make him a better plunderer… but damn it! Nik needs that Bread Maker!
‘I’ll have to buy the ingredients. But… what are they?’ Nik frowns. He knows how expensive this item must be. Actually, all the items sound ridiculous. But to think a Bread like this exists…
Nik decides on the gift and looks at the packaged box materializing ahead. He swiftly catches the cardboard box, feeling the machine’s weight. The box displays the machine’s image and specs like other modern gadget packaging. To Nik’s surprise, he finds the ingredients listed on the box in small letters.
“Water, sugar, salt, ink flour, oil, and literary yeast. The only different items are the ink flour and the literary yeast,” Nik strokes his chin before depositing the item to the side.
‘Now… Diamond…’
Nik’s gaze shimmers with expectations.
[Diamond Mystery Box opened. Please choose one of the following rewards.]
[Perfect Kopi Kopi No Mi: A Devil Fruit that grants the user the ability to copy and paste anything. (Additional Info: The perfect variants of the Devil Fruits do not share the weakness of seawater and sea stones.) (Special Info: The perfect variants acclimate to the user’s will instead of maintaining independence.)]
[Perfect Meta Meta No Mi: A Devil Fruit that grants the user the ability to become any metal known to them. (Additional Info: The perfect variants of the Devil Fruits do not share the weakness of seawater and sea stones.) (Special Info: The perfect variants acclimate to the user’s will instead of maintaining independence.)]
[Perfect Tori Tori No Mi, Model—Peng: A Devil Fruit allowing the user to transform into the Mythical Peng. (Additional Info: The perfect variants of the Devil Fruits do not share the weakness of seawater and sea stones.) (Special Info: The perfect variants acclimate to the user’s will instead of maintaining independence.)]
Nik stares at the rewards. He knows about the Devil Fruits. They are like the Essence and Husks of the Spirits but with the issue of being unable to swim. Ray ate the Bomu Bomu no Mi, making her a literal bombshell Succubus. The Devil Fruits are classified into three broad categories—Paramecia, Logia, and Zoan. The Paramecia Devil Fruits are like the husks of a Spirit, granting unique abilities—like Death Eater. The Logia Devil Fruit transforms the users into an Element, offering virtual invincibility to physical attacks since the user can merely reforge their form unless Haki is involved. The Zoan Devil Fruits offer the ability to transform into different creatures.
Nik contemplates. He knows about almost all the Devil Fruits through the list from Ray. So, he knows about these Devil Fruits. Personally, he wanted something like the Nikyu Nikyu no Mi, Ope Ope no Mi, or the fucking Nika Fruit! But he cannot overlook the fruits having no weakness.
Nik considered Spirit Husks superior to the Devil Fruits since he could consume the former several times. However, the Perfect Variants of the Devil Fruits are the same!
‘So, I can turn into any metal or a Peng?’ Nik blinks. The Devil Fruits, like the Bloodline, are also a metaphysical concept. They don’t clash with the Bloodlines. If anything… consuming a Devil Fruit will allow Nik to synthesize a better variant for his evolution.
‘I can be a Metal Incubus with the toughest boner… or a Giant Bird… Oh, how Toph would LOVE to bend me.’ Nik smirks and shakes his head.
His gaze settles on the first option. If it’s perfect and has no issues, including the bit about the fruit’s will…
Then the most obvious choice for Nik is that!
An item materializes…
It’s a strange fruit.
The fruit appears like a round, inflated palm with five round protrusions on the deep-red, swirly fruit with a four-pointed stem at a glance. Nik observes it from every direction before sniffing it. Unable to smell anything, he hesitatingly takes a bite.
“Hmm?” Nik crunches, letting the juices from the purple flesh splash on his tongue. “It’s not that bad? What the fuck was Ray whining about?” Nik tilts his head. Sure, it’s bitter, but Nik’s tasted more disgusting things in his life.
‘I should get the powers after a bite,’ Nik takes another crunch out of the fruit. ‘But I will kill myself the day I start wasting any food.’
He calmly eats everything before tossing away the stem. Sure, Nik turns a bit of the ice into water before diluting the fruit’s aftertaste.
Nik glances at his stats as he idly licks his lips.
As expected, his gaze falls atop a new skill.
[Awakened Copy-Paste Person: Copy and paste anything with a touch at the cost of energy reserves. The only limits are the user’s imagination and the things they cannot touch. (Additional Info: Eating the perfect Devil Fruit removes its usual limitations and stages, unifying the fruit with the user at its consumption.)]
‘Ok…’ Nik purses his lips. ‘But… what can I do?’
He looks at the Translation Bread Maker beside him. Tapping it, Nik waves his hand in another direction. Feeling his energy getting consumed, Nik finds another identical box appearing on the snowy plain.
‘It’s permanent,’ Nik exhales as he taps the new item with his right hand.
[Authority Rank: 1 (89.7→100/100)]
As they say… when it rains, it pours…
“Hahahahahahaha!”
Nik’s jovial laughter echoes through the snowy plains!
His laughter is so pure that even the Spirit of Freedom within Nik finds itself getting infected, buzzing and shuddering excitedly!
