Paradise of Infinity: 357
Added 2024-04-08 07:40:22 +0000 UTCTitle: Tour Time
Nik leads the group around the Sweet Mango Scar. That’s what Nik calls his Scar of Infinity due to its native Mango Groves. His and the Ty Sisters’ Mansions overlook the budding village through an artificial hill raised by Nik and Toph as Koro notes the different architectural practices on the two buildings, prompting Nik to explain the differences between the Fire Nation’s and Earth Kingdom’s culture.
But it’s just the beginning.
Nik’s village consists of earthen houses despite a blend of locals. Aside from Sokka’s village, Nik accepted the remnants of Reaper’s victims, who were willing to spend their lives inside the Sweet Mango Scar peacefully. Of them, there are several Earth, Fire, and Waterbenders. Yue also managed to persuade some waterbenders from her tribe to enter Nik’s Scar of Infinity.
Yet, Nik was the sole Airbender—oh, the irony.
Still, at a count, Nik’s village accommodated over 3800 individuals. Around 10% of them are elemental benders, among which the most prominent portion belongs to Earthbenders. But… Koro and Irina sense something wrong at a glance.
“It’s not weird,” explains Sokka, noticing Irina’s expression since Koro’s remains unchanged. “Nik helps provide for almost all the population. They lost their families to time and have nothing encouraging them to work. We’re lucky that they are willing to accept help.”
As Sokka states, many villagers merely sit, staring off into nothingness. There are barely any shops. One of the most decorated and active shops is Michi’s Flower Shop.
“It’s one of the reasons why those girls you brought back were so creeped out,” Sokka glances at Nik.
Yue sighs, “We tried several things. But…”
“Not everything,” Sokka emphasizes before tossing Nik another glance. Sokka feels responsible for everyone because he accepted the role of the Chieftain—not only for his former village but the entire population. So… he came up with a remarkable idea—
“Forget it,” Nik rolls his eyes. “I’m not going to drug them with my pheromones so they can fuck each other.”
“It’s a good release,” Sokka persists. He’s confident about his idea—no matter how dubious it sounds. “Think about it. Mom felt better when she met us. She changed because she had something. They might change if they have a bond.”
Nik flatly stares at Sokka before letting his gaze settle on Poppy and Yue. They think Sokka’s right. They changed for the better after meeting Nik, or so they claim. So, the duo, including Michi, Kya, June, and Azula, think Sokka is right… well, Azula doesn’t count. Meanwhile, Zuko, Jin, Katara, Suki, Ursa, Mai, Toph, and the Ty Sisters agree with Nik on one point—
“They’re all grieving,” Nik refuses. “Kya had little to grieve, and you wouldn’t have such thoughts if Kya was among them. You know it.”
“I…” Sokka’s gaze betrays acceptance. “I just want to help them.” He averts his gaze.
Poppy and Yue appear similarly conflicted.
“We are helping them,” Nik smiles. “It’s slow. But we are.”
The group stops as three children run past them before staring at Koro and gasping.
“What’s that, Nik? A Spirit?” Tom questions.
“Wow! That’s a spirit?”
“Is that true, Hero? You tamed a spirit?” The third girl questions with shining eyes.
“He’s a teacher,” Nik snickers. “Korosensei, meet Tom-Tom. He’s Michi’s son. These two are his friends—”
“Jerkzu!” the young one from Sokka’s village salutes. He’s the waterbender after Katara.
‘Jerkzu?’ Irina stifles a giggle.
“I’m… Len,” the girl shyly ducks her head. “You’re very pretty, Sister. Hero Nik always likes big women—”
“Alright,” Nik coughs as Irina deadpans. “Go on.”
“Bye!” Tom smirks and jogs away with his friends. Nik points out. “See? Len is feeling well despite being in the same state as the rest. Others will be the same after some time. People from your world are some of the most powerful bunch I’ve met, Sokka. They don’t break.”
Sokka sighs as Koro questions, “May I know what happened? What caused them to be so depressed?”
“A Spirit ate and enslaved their soul in a state of perpetual death as their bodies refused to rot. They were freed once I ate the damned thing,” Nik snorts before growing silent. “It’s… it’s not a pleasant feeling. Death is a release, you see. But that spirit—Reaper—perverted Death’s nature and traumatized their souls.”
Sighing, Nik glances at Koro and Irina. “Basically, they were imprisoned for almost a hundred years without food or water.”
Irina looks pale and disgusted. “That’s… wrong,” she lowers her head. She can think of no other insults or words to describe her feelings.
“Hmm.” Meanwhile, Korosensei looks around with his beady eyes, reserving his comments.
“Those girls are similar,” Yue mutters with a huff. “I can’t believe other hosts would do that.”
“Well,” Sokka chuckles, joking, “I’m probably one of the best sellers. What do you think, Nik?”
“What are you talking about?” Irina blinks.
“Slaves,” Poppy explains. “Nik explained how a few of us are known to others of his kind and sought after. So, when someone like Nik—”
“What?” Nik blinks.
“Ehm,” Poppy rolls her eyes. “When someone in Nik’s situation travels, they capture and sell us to an Auction.”
“Excuse me?” Irina gapes before glaring at Nik.
“What is it?” Nik tilts his head. “I don’t do slaves. So, don’t look at me like that.”
“Hmph, you got closer to me because I’m some toy?” She crosses her arms under her comely breasts.
“Ain’t it the opposite, Irina-Sensei?” Koro points out as she flushes. “Shut up, Octopus!”
“Back on topic,” Sokka clears his throat as they walk. “What do you think about my popularity?”
“Hmm,” Nik considers. “I don’t think others will buy you for anything but manual labor.”
“Pfft!” Yue and Poppy snicker as Sokka grunts.
“What about me?” Koro questions.
“I don’t think any of us can catch you except in unique situations like on that train,” Nik smiles.
“Speaking about you… what happened to you? Did you eat something poisonous and grow tentacles?” Sokka observes Koro as the latter grins. “Surprisingly close, Sokka.”
“Ah, must have been something goofy,” Sokka shrugs.
“Goofy enough to destroy the moon,” Niks scoffs.
“What?” Yue glares at the man. “You did WHAT?!”
Koro glances at Yue before looking away. “Ah! What’s there?!” He points in a random direction.
“There?” Nik blinks. “The farms. Come on. That’s our next stop.”
<<<>>>
From a Sky Bison’s POV, Nik’s Sweet Mango Scar possesses dense Mango Groves to the east of the hill. Meanwhile, the southern village extends to the region of farms. Zuko and others grow several crops, but it will take some time before it shows any results.
To the west are the Dragon Lake, Ignit, Nyla’s Burrow, and the Sky Bison herds. At the north lies a generous portion of the Spirit Oasis, along with a section dug out and filled to the brim with seawater for a couple of… gigantic aquatic eggs.
“W-What are those?!”
Irina gasps as she watches several greenish eggs visible through the shallow sea—primarily due to their size. Koro observes the curled forms within the translucent eggs, questioning, “They appear to be Koi, Nik-Sensei. I watched the Avatar show for research once I knew you were telling the truth. These wouldn’t be Elephant Koi, right?”
“They are,” Nik grins. His original amount of Koi eggs has now expanded to a nest of 18 Eggs, all thanks to the Kopi Kopi no Mi! Aware of the Kopi Kopi no Mi, Sokka, and others don’t question Nik. However, they wonder what’s the limits of this ability. “The inhabitants of Kyoshi Island sold Elephant Koi’s oil, fat, and meat to maintain their livelihood. I wanted to rear batches of Elephant Koi for that purpose. But as you can see, it takes them 7-11 months to hatch.”
Eggs are one thing Nik can pull into his Scar of Infinity without permission. Similarly, he will look into the Infinite Auction for more animals and wildlife, selecting what can improve the Sweet Mango Scar’s ecology.
“Suki says a few of them will hatch soon,” Yue supplants as she looks at the eggs. While she likes food from other worlds… her and others’ tastebuds crave the Elephant Koi. Imagining someone like Mitsuko handling Elephant Koi meat for dinner only makes Yue gulp a lump.
“And is this water also special?” Irina questions after seeing the protected Spirit Oasis.
“Nope, it’s saltwater,” Nik shrugs. “It’s easy to siphon from the sea unless you take too much and anger the Sea’s Spirit.”
“As if something like this exists,” Irina scoffs when Sokka, Yue, and Poppy glance at the former.
“We all dismissed these notions until we faced one,” Poppy smiles. “Sokka here became spiritually aware due to having his face stolen.”
“You know,” Nik suddenly looks at Koro as Irina decides to watch Avatar to see what is up. “Koh could effortlessly take care of you.”
“Koh?” Irina questions.
“The face stealer,” Sokka grunts. “Having your face stolen isn’t fun. Though we got off easy.” He high-fives Nik before they grin at each other.
“Come on, next stop is the Dragon Lake. Ignit might be shy, but the Sky Bisons are calm and open to strangers.”
“Because they met plenty in recent days…” Yue mutters with a slight pout. It’s not like she’s bitter about the girls purchased by Denny. But it was frustrating for someone like Yue since she was the first to get engaged…
And it’s Mitsuko who’s pregnant!
It should have been her!
She never had children with Hahn, her former husband, due to his traitorous actions. But it wasn’t due to her inability to conceive them… or her desire to do so…
Yue glances at Nik, who wags his brows, silently questioning what’s up.
“Do you two need a room?” Irina narrows her eyes, feeling the salt in the air rubbing off to her.
“Not really,” Nik tilts his head. “We’re used to the open surroundings. Why? Do you need a room?”
“Wha-” Irina snaps.
Nik shrugs with a smirk. Why ask the questions whose answers you aren’t prepared to handle? The Iroh within Nik grows wiser with the day.
“Stop teasing the girls,” Poppy huffs, nudging Nik’s shoulders.
“No, really,” Sokka deadpans as the blank-looking Koro adds. “Do you all need a room?”
“Well…” Nik looks at the three women before shaking his head. “I wouldn’t want Irina-Sensei to feel uncomfortable.”
“W-who’s uncomfortable?! I will take you right now!” Irina flushes, snarling as she unbuttons the top of her white blazer.
“Let’s keep moving,” Yue clears her throat before Nik accepts the offer.
“Hmph,” Irina glares at Nik as he continues with a snicker. He never expected Irina to be… well…
‘Is tsundere the correct term? I thought June was screwing with me when she told me about the ‘Dere(s).’ Upon further contemplation… don’t Kurumi, Katara, Suki, and Yue share such traits?’
Nik and others walk until they find the Sky Bison’s stable. The ones to greet them are the Ty Sisters, alongside their helpers. Following the meeting and appreciation of the Sky Bisons, Nik leads others to Ignit and Nyla, where Koro expresses his shock at his features for once.
Yes, Ignit is a surprise.
But the sight of TWO Dragon Eggs shook the duo.
Not one, but two!
Elephant Koi eggs aren’t the only thing Nik replicated.
Duplicating anything with a sentience has proven more difficult than imagination.
Remember the pods with the two women inside? Nik assessed the material with Toph, realizing the pods were made of simple steel! It’s the liquid within the containers that is valuable. It stabilized the two women for this long, something Nik contained for further inspection.
As for why he couldn’t duplicate the pods?
It’s because the pods were sentient. They held the A.I. with enough unknown force to keep an Executive from destroying them. Nik could never replicate that in his current condition.
Why is he sure?
Because Nik KNOWS the limits of the awakened Kopi Fruit are not living beings. He replicated a squirrel…
He can copy life.
But copying something as complex as a human being or high spiritual creatures is impractical to the current Nik. His limits are the eggs of Dragons or the Sky Bison calves. However, he refrains from doing the latter because the Sky Bisons are intelligent. Nik doesn’t know how copying someone might affect the ‘original.’ So, he would instead practice on his enemies than his own.
After all, the Sky Bison are Aang’s gifts. Nik will never ruin Aang’s trust.
What’s that?
Aang is worlds away?
So what? Nik will know if he broke Aang’s trust, and that shit will stay on him.
As for the Second Dragon Egg…
There’s a reason why Azula isn’t already fucking Nik 24x7 and strolling around with a smug mug about getting a Dragon…
Everyone knows about it except Azula.
The craziest thing is everyone’s in a silent agreement to not let her know anything until the Dragon hatches.
Azula’s pompous snides did help in others coming to this agreement.
Besides, Nik has other plans.
‘Dragon Egg should suffice as a wedding gift, right?’ He strokes his chin.
What should he get others besides tickets for ‘Nik Loving Sessions?’
He contemplates while finishing the tour with the rest.
<<<>>>
“So? What do you think?” Nik questions once he steps into Denny’s Arctic world with Koro alone. He’s still not confident enough to bring others into the two separated Scars of Infinity until he ensures no other invitations to the ‘Guests’ remain.
“I must say I’m surprised. Ray-Sensei’s… Scar of Infinity, was it?”
Nik nods.
“Hmm. Ray-Sensei’s Scar of Infinity was not developed. She had a mansion, but that’s it. It sat in the desert, slowly submerging into the sand. The oasis in that world was massive. It covered more than a third of the world. But there were intriguing weather reactions. It rained every other day. Does it rain in your world?”
“It does,” Nik explains. “There isn’t a sun, moon, or stars in the Scars of Infinity since the vertical limit of our world is limited. The ‘Sky’ follows the same celestial patterns and cycles as the planet we are on. But everything is as it should be. It rains here. My world follows a Tropical Climate, as opposed to this Arctic one. What do you think will happen if I fuse these two?”
“Who knows?” Koro shrugs. “Maybe the ice will melt and create a beach, like Ray-Sensei’s world. Or it can ruin the crops and freeze your special lakes instead. I suspect it would harm the Dragon and Elephant Koi Eggs.”
Nik sighs.
“What would you suggest I do in these three worlds?” He questions as he leads Koro into Duck-Tape’s world of black soil and golden crops.
“I will have to analyze the components of the earth,” Koro muses before replying. “Ah, that. It’s straightforward. You should prioritize fundamental infrastructure first—sewage, transportation, and residence. While you build them, I suggest you use the population for construction and labor. Take this chance to create jobs and introduce a currency to form an economy. If fortunate, others from your village might bond over the work they put into building your world, encouraging them to grow out of their shells. Despite the limited space of around 300 sq kilometers, you won’t have to worry about the accumulated waste from the sewage system contaminating the land and the crops because you can remove it.”
Nik is awestruck. He knows he could have come up with something like this… after a few tries. After all, he is reading through the Limitless Library daily. But Koro addressed several issues at once.
“After this stage, you should focus on improving the quality of life by constructing greenhouses and irrigation facilities for the farmer. It’s better to think outside the box. After all, it’s an unusual world with unusual people. Didn’t the Earthbenders create a train system in Ba Sing Se in the show? You can do something similar and help employ the Elemental benders. You must focus on including everyone in some manner, providing opportunities for all. It will give others the freedom of choice. After all, others are less susceptible to depression if they choose to do something. If possible, you should collect data servers from the world you travel and introduce the internet. The availability of Earthbenders reduces the workload by several times. The only thing holding the development of your world back is a direction of growth.”
Koro looks around. “As for other worlds… you shouldn’t fuse them. Grow them differently and have as many options as you can. If we think from another perspective, these worlds will make excellent prisons.”
“Prisons?” Nik frowns.
“There might be no crimes now, Nik-Sensei. But what about the future? Were you planning to toss the criminals out?”
“Well, the violent ones like murderers,” Nik nods.
“What about their families?” Koro questions as Nik grows silent. “Several criminals might have families. You see, Law and Order are as Just as the ones controlling the system are. What about the wrongfully accused? What of their families? What about a wife who only hopes to see her husband get free?”
“She’ll have another child,” Nik scoffs. “But I see your point. Just because this generation feels indebted to me doesn’t mean others will. They might even hate me for ‘imprisoning’ them in these worlds.”
“That brings me to my final point,” Koro grins.
“Education. It’s the best way to reduce such issues. A good education plan spanning over the developmental years of the children will help you attune their minds to this world. The geography lessons should inform you about all the Worlds you collect. Knowledge of Flora and Fauna should be the same. Have so much that others don’t think about the outside world since they will be the same thing.”
Nik nods before smiling bitterly. “It’s overwhelming.”
“Well,” Koro smirks. “I can help you draft out the necessary plans. It will be an entertaining project. No more changing the wiki entries for me.”

A/N: I realize some things about the Scar of Infinity might be different from what I wrote (it can be the size or whatnot), but I’ll eventually edit the previous chapters to match this one. So, it’s not a plothole… I’m just forgetful (Thankfully, I jotted this chap as a side page for Nik’s Scar of Infinity and will do it for other Scars of Infinity to have an accurate assessment and numbers of things including population and stuff.)
Comments
Koro I can't believe you. More than threatening to destroy the world, changing wiki entries is what truly makes you a menace.
