(SPOILER S3!) It's interesting but to me it always felt like Grace really is the only one for Tommy. Yes, he likes May maybe more than just a friend, but it never compared in anyway with the magic between Grace and Tommy. To me the series did a great job of depicting soul mates. That's why after her death this show to me was just depicting constant heartache... cause yes there were other women, but none made him happy and forget as Grace did. Still for me the most tragic death that I will never get over and it's been a fucking long time :D

I understand her being so damn pissed at him. "Don't fuck with the Peaky Blinders!" Damn, that was so satisfying. Way to go, Polly. Way to go. And what the hell did happen to Michael? Churchill, baby. Man, that was too close for comfort. I guess it does pay to have someone in "higher" places. LOL! I can't believe we are going into season 3, already. I'm enjoying this series way more than I did the first time I tried watching. Maybe because I'm watching with you guys. BTW, I have got to get the playlist to this show. The music is right up my alley.

And yes Tommy did give Polly permission to kill Campbell she said before she pulled the gun that Tommy said it should be me. Great reaction and great comments from everyone here always read them some great insights. Roll on season 3 can not wait. Thankyou.

2024-02-21 20:14:46 +0000 UTCCouldn't wait for this finale! Murphy's Tommy is so electric in every scene. It reminds me of the 'soldier's minute' in the finale of the first season. Tommy had made his peace with dying. In my opinion, one of the biggest reasons he doesn't allow himself to feel is because deep down he's still a soldier on borrowed time. It wasn't really a love triangle. I do believe if May came around at a different time there could've been something down the road. He grasped an affair with her because it was safe and he needed comfort. After all, in his mind he was going to his death at the end so why not grasp whatever happiness could look like now. I really like May but she is definitely rebound girl. Tommy is a one woman man and that woman is Grace. He feels like he can let his guard down and be himself flaws and all with her. Gypsies believe in signs and her pregnancy and declaring her love sealed the deal for him. Polly needed this win! His assault needed to be answered and she also wanted her son to look favorably upon her as well. Tommy and Polly are a bad ass duo! Their portrayal of these characters make the story for me. Murphy and McCrory kill in these roles. I am so excited to see what you both think of the remainder of this series. Buckle up you are in for a ride!

One thing not to forget, Tommy also keeps repeating he almost died in France, or he is at least familiar with near-death experiences, still this one shook him. Clearly, having a future and many other things to worry about opens the way for a different Thomas.
