Severance Season 2 Episode 10 REACTION!! (full watch along)

Comments

She confirmed it was not in an interview. Goes in depth on why she was looking that way. And if you watch the rest of the episode there’s no way it could be Helena. I had a similar thought though.

What if that was Helena at the end? The look she gave Gemma was scary.

Both Helly and Helena are in love with Mark. Helly could have possibly talked Mark into leaving but her attraction on both sides of her brain won't let her. Irving has to be a big part of Season 3. I feel like there was something between him and Cobel. Her reaction in the birthing cabin to finding out he told them where the dark hallway was is telling. John Turturro said he will return next season, so there will be more. Re-watching these episodes is always fun and I always see something new. Thanks for your great thoughts and reaction to this amazing show!!

There is no official release date for Severance season 3, but it is expected in late 2026 or early 2027, as production has not yet begun, and creators hope to shorten the wait from the previous three-year gap.

Thanks for doing this show. Great stuff.

When Helly said "But I'm her Mark, I'm her" she's basically bringing him back to reality that yeah, although they want to be together they can't because she's Helena, when she says "Im her" she means I'm Helena so there's no hope or future for us. So that's why he chooses Helly over Gemma, cuz it's the only way he wont lose her.

Amazing reaction. iMO this is one of the best episodes ever, not only of Severance. To clear up some doubts: we know they were planning to extract Gemma’s chip after the test and then kill her. That chip is extremely valuable. This made for a perfect season ending because innie Mark actually did what they asked of him: he risked his life and saved Gemma. It's perfecty reasonable that he wanted one last moment with Helly, whether it was one, five or ten minutes. There are many important questions: What happened to Gemma? Was she rescued by Mark’s sister? Helly’s dad openly said he basically hates outie Helly and admires innie Helly, and that will definitely matter later. I also think there is an important story behind how Irv knew about the Testing Floor. Could the entire severed floor end up rebelling against Lumon? Who was Irv calling after they "fired" him? I strongly suspect Petey's daughter is part of the group trying to destroy Lumon. What will Cobel do? We know she is the brainchild behind severance. Ater watching this for the fourth time, I have a new question. Did the Cold Harbor test fail? Innie Gemma trusted Mark enough to go with him even though he was covered in blood, even though a voice was telling her he would hurt her, and even though he was a complete stranger to her.

Sorry for spamming the comments, I LOVE THIS EPISODE and have watched it so many times… I have a crazy theory on “Cold Harbor.” We know Mark and Gemma were trying for a baby. Tragically it did not happen. To completely wipe out Gemma, this 25th and final file/innie/test, they do “Cold Harbor.” To a woman who wanted so badly to have a child. Opposite of cold is warm. Now here is a bit of a stretch maybe, but a harbor is a place of safety and security before a boat goes out on its own. Maybe “harbor “ here is the womb? If Gemma wanted to have a baby so badly, maybe the ultimate innie test was to see if they could wipe out any desire for a “warm womb” (I know that sounds weird) and replace it with a “cold harbor”, by having her disassemble the crib (with the same song from the best parts of Mark and Gemma’s relationship playing in the background) and do it with no emotion? If she completes this task, she is essentially disassembling herself. If it works I think that means Gemma is a completely blank slate and that her consciousness can be replaced with Jame Eagan’s consciousness, so that when his physical body dies his conscience can live on. Which is why when Cold Harbor Gemma grabs Marks hand, we see Jame scream “Fuuuuuck!!!!” He lost his chance at immortality. Season 1 finale when he talked to Helly R he talked about her being at his “revolving.” I think that means one consciousness being moved from one body to another. And also why the Board keeps insisting that reintegration is not possible, while Cobel, who designed the freaking severance chip, insists it is. Crazy theory but I’m sticking to it.

“But I want to live with you”- Mark But I’m her, Mark.” - Helly Then a tear rolls down Mark’s face. Mark Scout can reintegrate. Helena Eagan never can. She is in the center of the cult that wants to take over the world. Make all people “children of Kier.” But maybe for the viewers it also has a double meaning, as in “I’m her, the love of your life.”

With the intro I’m pretty sure the last baby is Baby Kier… crawling around with a beard. It is mysterious and important.

I have been waiting for this one for so long!! This may be the best episode of television I’ve ever seen. I also have to say it’s amazing that nearly 40 minutes go by of pure tension, and THEN we get the Milchick band AND Brienne of Tarth beating another Hound AND Mark and Gemma finally reuniting! And Dylan with another “Fuck you, Mr. Milchick!” And then completely mixed feelings at the end, that also make perfect sense. This is the best episode of anything!!! It has verve and wiles, the most of its flock!
