Goddess Academy— 3

"Sir, let me start by introducing the location we are in," Vera smiled and turned slightly. Her actions were sudden as Bhram, who was enjoying the 'landscape' did not even have the time to react. But even after noticing the slight reaction, Vera continued as if nothing had transpired in the Dean's mind when she had her back against his eyes.
"The Gods and Demons who developed this academy wanted it to be isolated from the real planet for some reason. In fact, the legendary demon of time whose name is long forgotten even installed a function of time dilation but we shall discuss that much later. Right now, we are inside an isolated space named Heaven."
Bhram's eyes twitched as the fabric of her dress managed to get stuck against Vera's wide butt cheeks slightly, making his breathing a notch heavier but try as he might to look away... it was right there. The true Heaven.
By now, Bhram could finally burn the entirety of Vera's dress in his mind. Wearing a cream-colored dress that streamlined around her upper body but started from her breasts with frilly edges, it grew wider from down her hips but not enough to easily move past the hurdle that Vera's plump cheeks turned out to be. Instead of wearing shoes, Vera walked on the grassy plain with her feet exposed. Just like her height, Bhram realized that Vera also surpassed him in the size of the shoes, too. However, Bhram couldn't really observe her back since Vera wore her hair long with a surprisingly straight cut at the end that was barely above her hips.
"Sir? Are you alright?" Vera inquired with a smile but had her eyes narrowed as if easily able to see through Bhram. Then again, it wasn't hard to understand what might be going through the mind of the Dean of the Academy.
'This is all extremely new, after all. Being shocked by revelations is to be expected. We are in Heaven so he must be thinking that he's...'
"Sir, no need to be afraid. Unlike the myth about Heaven where the soul of innocents rest, this Heaven is an actual location where living beings live."
'Living beings can live there? Well... given the size of it, I can say that at least, one person can live there,' Bhram gulped but finally shook off the dirty thoughts trying to corrupt his mind. This was serious!
In terms of employment, what Bhram was going through was his orientation.
"I understand," Bhram nodded as his throat went a little dry.
'I need to distract myself,' Affirming his decision, Bhram looked away from Vera and let his gaze run over his surroundings.
He hadn't noticed it before but surrounding the beautiful, lush clearing was a thick forest and anything interesting to note was a large hole that could fit multiple houses just a few meters away from the couple. But Bhram failed to hear any chirping of birds or chittering of rodents. However, accompanied by the soft wind was the rustling of the branches in the surrounding thicket.
"As you can witness, the academy is devoid of any structure. It is a Dean's responsibility to propel the Academy to its former glory."
This made Bhram realize something.
"Um, Vera..." Bhram spoke as a disheartened gaze once again flashed through her eyes but he kept himself from adding the salutation 'miss' since the reaction felt a little worse in the form of indifference.
"Do you live here?" Bhram gulped.
"Not anymore!" Vera smiled as the wind blew once again, making her smooth locks wave as Bhram's pupils dilated. He felt his heartbeat skyrocketing and fully knew that Vera was already aware of his reaction. However, he couldn't do anything to stop himself from gulping.
"W-what do you mean?"
"As a Dean of the Academy, it will fall upon your shoulders to build a residence for your employees during their period of employment. I'm your secretary, Sir. Where do you think I am going to live from now on?"
'Well... aside from the fact that Mom might be happy for different reasons, does this mean I got a roommate?' Bhram thought but Vera's words broke him out of his daze.
"Before we discuss my accommodation, allow me to introduce you to the Academy system that dwells within your being and what should you expect."
The situation still felt unreal but Vera stood in her spot. It's not like there was any furniture to sit on and this made another question creep into Bhram's mind.
'Did she sleep on the ground before? Where does she bathe? What is her diet?' These were some concerning questions but Vera finally began, making Bhram concentrate on her.
"First, we have to set many misunderstandings straight. In this world, there are many 'systems.' I'm sure, after the year 2031, you must have heard about many living beings who climbed the social ladder at an uncanny pace and still strive to become better, right? It is good to assume that many if not all of these men and women are accompanied by a 'system.'"
Bhram felt a little shocked that concepts of fantasy novel could be a major part of the real world then again, with everything started after the pandemic, it is right to assume that magic is no longer a myth.
"But Dean, as the head of the greatest educational institution, you must know the difference between a 'system' and a 'legacy.'
Systems are something capable of directly affecting a single life with a short range of functions. Many systems might simply show the status of the living beings they occupy, motivating their hosts to improve themselves endlessly. Rarer systems may even include the function of utilizing the ambient energy and provide features like quests that lead to rewards affecting the host's condition."
Her smile never left as she revealed such secrets. Although confused why Vera even knew all of it, Bhram continued to listen silently.
"But when it comes to Legacies, they are on an entirely different plane of existence. There is a popular remark from the olden era— comparing a rock to Mount Tai."
Bhram almost cringed. But he had to admit, if he had something that is regarded as Mount Tai... it must be awesome.
"Legacies affect reality in many ways unimaginable but almost all of them have the ability to materialize objects from the energy around them, or the host, or at some extremely rare situations— materializing objects out of nothingness."
There was a note of severity in Vera's voice that made Bhram startle but her mood stabilized and she continued.
"The Goddess Academy System is one such Legacy. However, this Legacy is the accomplishment of the hard work of many gods and demons. So, this Legacy is as dependent on the host— that would be you, Dean— as the host is dependent on the legacy."
Bhram furrowed, unable to comprehend Vera's words.
"This is a lot to unload and digest, I understand," Vera smiled as she took a step forward.
"But, it will be clear soon enough. Now please, concentrate on the fact that there is a Legacy inside you and call for 'status.' Make sure to do all of this silently."
Bhram nodded and closed his eyes.
Although he didn't feel anything different, it was true that he had somehow gotten a system... no, a Legacy for the moment he inquired for his status, he felt a glowing screen greeting his vision despite his eyes being closed. Slowly opening them, Bhram found the screen in front of him still.
[Name: Bhram Mittal
Age: 22
D.O.B: 23 May 2031
Legacy: Goddess Academy]
"I can see it," Bhram nodded as a smile bloomed over Vera's lips.
"Wonderful. Now it will be easy to demonstrate the fact I revealed earlier. The Legacy has many, many components build within due to its creator numbering a dozen. There are basic functions like status, quests, and lotto tickets but many more functions are unlocked as you live and perform different achievements."
Bhram felt a little overwhelmed but it was nothing he hadn't handled in many h-games that added some serious RPG and grinding devices, making these kinds of games the most annoying, and yet, one of the best, too. There's nothing like the feeling of working hard for almost 20 minutes just to unlock one sex scene!
"Can I elaborate my status?" Bhram inquired. There should be a function where the status is shortened to provide ease to the gamer and with a press of 'C' button, all the dastardly resistance and damage boost percentage is revealed.
"Yes, please try and think about it. The Legacy—"
"Got it!" Bhram accidentally cut Vera off in his excitement as the screen enlarged with more numbers showing up. Alas, in his excitement, he also failed to observe the flash of electric excitement that buzzed through Vera's gaze the moment she was cut off.

"Woah," Bhram mumbled as he tried to focus on his stats this time. If he had learned anything about the mystical systems from myriad web novels then trying out new things is the key to exploring the mystical systems.
[Status Info:
Body— A summation of every physical aspect of the host from the endurance to the durability of the skeletal structure and the quality of blood pumped through the veins.
Mind— A summation of mental capabilities of the host from memory to intelligence. Note that this status is extremely relative based on the type and nature of the information. To compare this status with the wisdom of living being is not advised.
Energy— A summation of the quantity of supernatural energy stored within the host's being. The energy of the Legacy is not recorded in the same term as the host's.]
'Then what about Physique and Bloodline?' Bhram's eyebrows shot up at the simplification of the stats. He was not expecting that and thought he needed to go through a list of stat factors such as endurance, dexterity, and as such. Even though his corrupted mind of fantasy already knew what the bloodline and physique could mean, he still focused on the two stats and gazed through the description.
[Physique— An aspect of the physical body that boosts certain qualities of the host.
Current Physique: None]
[Bloodline— An aspect of living beings that affects one's entire existence. Unlike the blood flowing within veins, bloodline represents a heritage and may change the entirety of one's existence.
Current Bloodline: Alchemy Human.]
[Alchemy Human (Uncommon): Heritage of Humans birthed from the miracles of alchemy that developed over countless years, finally allowing this form of humanity to be considered an ordinary living being with all three aspects of life— Body, mind, and soul.
Integration— 24%]
"What's integration?" Bhram mumbled unconsciously when Vera regained a look of liveliness.
"Integration value is the direct presentation of a bloodline regardless of its rarity," her voice a bit louder than before, and only after capturing Bhram's attention did she smile and recovered her calm tone.
"Dean, bloodlines are largely divided into common, uncommon, rare, extreme, high, mystical, and legendary."
'Seven categories,' Bhram counted mentally.
"However, integration value represents a bloodline's ability to communicate with the world around us."
Seeing Bhram's slightly lost look, Vera placed a common example.
"For instance, some types of vampires, despite their physical abilities have a fatal weakness against the sun. This is because of the low integration value of Bloodline. In essence, any bloodline with integration 20 or lower than 20% will face such weaknesses."
Understanding dawned over Bhram as he took a deep breath.
"But let's go back to our original explanation," Vera smiled, "I believe that we were discussing about the various functions of the legacy. Right now, as the governing body of the Academy and the owner of the legacy, you are given two beginner's function.
One of them is status.
The other is quests.
The third one is the lotto tickets.
And in this case, the final function is Employee Status.
While status reveals the host's data and achievements, quests will give you the direction of growth for the Academy. The lotto tickets, as described by their name, are tickets given out by the legacy after some form of achievement and can be used to get a random item. As for the last one, the Employee status will reveal a general status of your employees."
"What are the other functions then?" Bhram inquired, his eyes glimmering by now.
"I don't know," Vera smiled, "As the staff directly under the dean, I am blessed with the function of the legacy suited to assist you. It does not have a name but allows me to see the functions you have unlocked and gives me a brief detail about newly unlocked features."
Bhram looked a little dubious but he still inquired.
"Does the quests have rewards?"
"Yes."
"Punishments?"
"To even out the rewards, yes."
"Time limit?"
"This is an academy. If things are not achieved in time, it will reflect poorly on the status of Goddess Academy."
Bhram took the last one as an affirmative, too.
'Please don't let it be death punishments. No death punishments, no death punishments,' As Bhram continued to chant, he called up the quest tab.
[Main Quests—
1) Get a Corner.
Side Quests—
*No path of development is opted.]
[Get a Corner—
As a dean, you need a private space to conduct business and harass your employees.
Objective: Develop a functioning office in Heaven.
Time Limit: 1 month.
Rewards: 1 stat point (random), 15 Development Points, ??.
Penalty: 1 month of unlucky aura.]
'Well, this is surprising. There is no death—' Bhram's gaze landed on the penalty first but as he read through the objective, his eyes popped open, 'I get to harass my employees?' Unconsciously, he looked up and glanced towards Vera, making her smile but she felt a little confused.
"Ehm, um, I read the quest. It's demanding to develop a functioning office in this space within one month," Bhram spoke up while Vera tilted her head in confusion.
"Sir, I forgot to tell you the intricacies of the legacy cannot be shared even with the employees. While you may be able to hear what you're conveying, all I can see is that your lips are moving in an uncanny precision that even makes a person unable to read your lips."
"Hot damn..." Bhram mumbled.
"Why, thank you," Vera smiled, her eyes widened at the sudden praise.
[New function unlocked— Affection meter.]
As Bhram gazed at the new notification, Vera's eyes widened suddenly and she looked towards Bhram with an awkward smile.
"Would you like me to describe the newest function?"
Able to understand what had transpired despite the sheer strangeness of the situation, Bhram blushed slightly and shook his head.
