In many ways Uhtred is a victim of his own success. The Danes love him, sometimes, if they think they can sway him to their side. The Saxon's tolerate him when he does exactly what they want but still despise him. Take the Queen, Uhtred saves the heir to the throne through Isuelt, who mind Alfred demaned Uhtred send her back to certain death. In S2, at the risk to his own standing and life for Uhtred, his men and his family, he acts to save Aethelflaed. Yet this women doesnt have an ounce of sympathy in her heart because he is not a christian. Sadly Uhtred'd deserves the love the Dane's would give him as a great warrior and leader but he has ties to the Saxon's that arent easily broken and if anything he has always been a man of his word. That said, that priest had it coming. I am not sure of the 2 "holy" men he killed which was more deserving? Alfred failed by not silencing that maggot right away. Or someone in there should've told that guy to STFU too bad we lost Odda the Elder, that would've been his place possibly. I get offended for Uhtred just listening to that rant from that pious PoS.

2022-11-23 18:13:52 +0000 UTCEpisode 2 and it escalated so quickly from a slap to enemy of the state. Alfred coming off as desperate to secure Uhtred for his son forced his hand. Aethewold turning from court jester to Loki when he saw the opportunity. Season 3 is so damn good.

2022-11-16 00:55:58 +0000 UTCHim saying mean things about his kids isn’t new. He rejected his first son when he was baptized but it was just words he didn’t believe as he cried so much losing him. Honestly this moment makes sense for him at the start of this episode as he’s not even seen with the baby

2022-11-08 06:34:41 +0000 UTCThis dynamic and relationship between Uhtred and Alfred and all the other characters is why I put this show way above Vikings. Each episode is packed full of character development and action/ story and it’s in one of my top 5 tv shows of all time.

2022-11-08 03:51:15 +0000 UTCI love the fact that Uhtred left Alfred because he wanted him to spend the rest of his life serving Edward, and when he got to Young Ragnar they pretty much made him swear to serve for the rest of his life. Uhtred can't win no matter his decisions.

2022-11-08 02:59:04 +0000 UTCPoor Utrecht..he just can’t catch a break , he didn’t even have time to mourn his wife.and Alfred never appreciates him no matter how much good he does.

2022-11-08 00:17:15 +0000 UTCgreat reaction guys. And fantastic news of going back to 2 episodes per week (if i understood correctly the schedule). Season 3 is really on point, and especially the next couple of episodes are among my favorite of the show. But the best is yet to come...

2022-11-07 21:41:41 +0000 UTCAlfred's reaction when he was alone after the incident with Uhtred was so well portrayed, fear, a paternal love, anger and pain all captured in that moment - thanks for another great reaction to this fantastic show 👏

2022-11-07 19:07:03 +0000 UTCI love how much you understand uhtred and Alfred's relationship. They are like family for each other and they constantly feel betrayed by each other all because of religion. :/ and then he goes to see Ragnar and has this brother who accepts his family whatever they believe. It's so sad to see how those relationships can go through turmoil.

2022-11-07 18:43:55 +0000 UTCThe relationship Uhtred has with all his men but specially with his 3 main is amazing. They are all truly loyal to each other and anyone one of them would die for each other. The actors all do an amazing job of betraying that on camera

2022-11-07 18:01:32 +0000 UTCThis episode is truly phenomenal. When Uhtred reached an inevitable breaking point and pulled out the knife on Alfred, I genuinely didn't know what emotion to feel. And the sad thing is you can see that both Uhtred and Alfred regret and are upset at what has just happened, when Uhtred confronts him and looks around in an emotional way, and Alfred later on when he wants to be alone. Storytelling at its finest.

2022-11-07 17:56:40 +0000 UTCOne of the best episodes because years of tension has been released. As for Brother Godwin… yeah a guy that weak could be ended by a slap and a stone floor nap lol
