Alien (1979) movie REACTION!! (full watch-a-long)

We watched Alien on Amazon Prime.

This is a watch-a-long so you do need to bring your own copy of the episode to see it, there is no PIP. There are a few visual cues and a timer to help you sync up

Things I never thought I'd hear together, anal beads in tapioca. I am deceased. LOL

Annie Bonz

We watched on Amazon so different platform is likely the reason.

As for the art work, Gieger was a genius

So I sync the movie on Disney Plus in the UK with you but your feed keeps getting ahead the entire movie

Fun thing about you being stuck on the "Ash milk" thing - all of the horror in Alien is actually thematically rooted in sexuality: - The "facehugger" has some vaginal visual properties - Kane gets "orally raped" and "impregnated" - Kane then has a "birth" - The alien itself always seems to excrede lubricant, and its head design is based on a penis - Ash is obviously "sweating a thick milk liquid" - The alien kills Lambert by "penetrating" its tail through her... nether regions? I'm not making this up as I go; the original H.R. Giger artwork was specifically sexually in nature, so it's all factual. I think that a large part of what makes the horror elements of this movie work so well is that it references a lot of awkward sexual things.

I wish you had done the original release version of this. Only the 2nd movie really still works with the director's cut extra scenes... Oh well, too late. lol I'm sure I will still enjoy your reactions because that's what I do: I drink, I know things and I enjoy watching Nikki and Steven React. (p.s. I don't drink much anymore...)

MertzRocks

I am eating tapioca right when Nikki made the tapioca comment hahaha

You've probably already seen it, but "Aliens" was an excellent sequel which has held up well over the years. More action oriented though.
