The Sea God Island has a total of eight distinct spots on the surface.
The central plaza erected massively overlooks the island.
And the seven different monuments within the center of seven different lakes contain enough divine energy, to be precise, Immortal Qi, that also acts like seven key points for the Divine Grace Array which was one of the main milestones in Ja Sun's ability to form the Soul Origin Devouring Array. These seven monuments, each resembling seven different aquatic beasts are also the spot where one might trigger Poseidon's inheritance.
Understanding the working of the inheritance is pretty easy when it's using the Divine Grace Array as its core.
But not the least bit eager to destroy the foundations of this island or worse, plunder the sweet depths of spirit energy roiling within, Ja Sun takes it easy. He isn't here to dictate but whisk others away and for that, he needs a big, big, baddy with less than necessary moral code.
Oh, how wonderful!
Blood God exists for a reason!
Knowing some extent of his plan, if it can even be called such given how 'going with the flow' Ja Sun is playing, he quickly has everyone enter his newest Spatial Artifact in the shape of a cloth belt tied around his waist.
'So... I'm 'forbidden' from trying to take Poseidon's inheritance, you say... even if I don't want it, calling it forbidden is just mean!' He licks his dry lips with an eager glint in his eyes.
He can feel the other powerhouses on the island teeming with anxiety.
The fight they have been dreading all along is finally on their beaches. And sensing Ja Sun withdraw all his 'forces' makes them question whatever he is planning!
But... noting for his family's safety despite knowing nothing will really harm the belt around his waist, the exposed portions of his skin begin to ooze an eldritch and purplish material. Knowing what is going to occur, he holds nothing back as the purple material forms into a sleek and solid purple armor with two purplish gauntlets around his arms.
Not only that, as six of his pure red eyes narrow, the spot right above his butt wiggles, and a purple-coated scorpion tail juts out of and sways sharply.
1,000,000-year-old Death Spider Emperor External Skin Bone was his first external bone. With the sheer variety of skills he has, he never got around to using any four of the skills attached to this external bone save for the passive one which allows him to get dissected into many pieces but still get together or regenerate like an actual slime.
His second external spirit bone is the 700000-year-old Evil-Eyed Emperor Third Eye. The skills of that spirit bone are less than stellar. Pure attacks and nothing more. Instead, Ja Sun is quite fond of the spirit skills he gained from his spirit soul instead— The Eye of Causality. It lets him copy many things.
And finally, this is the third external bone.
The 100000-year-old Devil God Tiger External Tail, capped by a scorpion hook.
This external bone has two spirit skills but Ja Sun has taken a liking to only one of them— True Aim.
The scorpion tail will stretch and attack the enemy near its surrounding without missing for any reason— a skill of causality. Of course, skills like Ah Yin's sixth spirit skill or Ja Yin's attribute of Destiny can counter it. Even Qian Xunji's godly qi and being a higher lifeform should counter a mortal attack like this but Ja Sun has ways to get around this.
'Should I even bring out the Fire Dragon King Arm Canon and Water Dragon King Saber?' He muses before shrugging, 'Maybe overkill but since we're equal in strength, I might just have to use them to gain an edge over him.'
After all, Qian Xunji entering his domain— The battlefield of Madness— once again is highly unlikely. And a God's raw capabilities are something Ja Sun cannot achieve. So it would boil down to who can get an edge over the other party.
'But this is unavoidable. If I want to loot everything on this island, including the citizen's faith in Poseidon... Qian Xunji needs to piss off!'
Still standing on the beach as waves crash in and then merely slide up the sandy surface gently, Ja Sun takes a deep breath and then disappears on the spot.
He reappears in the center of one of the seven lakes where a terrified woman is already present. Behind her is a monument of a beautiful mermaid but Ja Sun's six, sleek, armored red eyes only give her a passing glance, "Oh? Human and a Mermaid?"
The woman in question is dressed in leather-like black tight. Her silver-pink hair is tied up slickly into a bun and her lips are decorated with purple lipstick. Yet, her complexion is paler than usual. The mere sight of Ja Sun makes the Titled Douluo weak in her knees as she stumbles down. After all, Ja Sun is holding back nothing.
This does not mean he is actively creating threatening pressure around him. It just means the violent and sheer maddening bloodlust that SHOULD ooze from someone like him is... no longer in check.
"Uh... Uah..." Her teeth clatter and despite nine spirit rings floating around her, she does not feel safe. Not when the six purplish-red eyes narrow down further with a spark of sardonic amusement.
"What are you called?" Ja Sun inquires calmly. His family isn't around him so he feels no need to keep himself in check. It's like he can finally stretch a little— metaphorically, of course.
"I—" The titled douluo gasps. All she can see is red and fear. Tangible, visible fear.
'Are all mermaids like this...?' Ja Sun muses and then a thought strikes him, 'No, I was foolish! How could I not think of it before?! Lan Ruo is a whale but she can become a human, or turn her lower body into an aquatic one whenever she likes the same way Zi Ji has 'customized' her looks... so... I actually already DO have a mermaid. I just didn't have the vision to see one!'
As one might assume, Sage's life is filled with enlightenment in various moments.
The realization of Mermaids not being especially 'rare' merely makes Ja Sun less interested in towering over the poor 'girl' and he silently shifts his gaze toward the equally terrified men. Six of them.
Each of them sports various beach-like, aquatic jewelry like horned crowns, anklets, and bracelets while wearing similarly dark outfits. And the moment each of them meets his gaze, they feel a deep sense of weakness and fear, too.
'Fear... should be a Law, too, right? Bibi Dong is majoring in the Law of Negativity which is an umbrella to most negative thoughts. But fear itself should have a separate mastery,' Ja Sun hums internally.
But he was getting ahead of himself and he knew that. Suppressing these thoughts, Ja Sun looks at the final 'guest.'
Yes, Guest.
The moment he stepped on this island, it was his. There is no question about that.
And thus, everyone else on the island became HIS guest. Let no one say Beast God Douluo is not a gracious host!
"You, I remember. Your name, Priestess. I know it. But a proper introduction would help a lot."
Faring a little better than the seven Titled Douluos destined to protect the island who now kiss the ground with their knees, or maybe it is because she is leaning on her staff and holding it tightly, the long, platinum-blue-haired priestess in a long white dress with red trims finds herself... praying.
Praying for the island's survival.
And her prayers are surprisingly met!
"Just accede to any request he may have for now... remember why you're—" The words are filled with passion and kindness but this divine route is tapped hard by a booming voice.
"BORING! And fuck off, fish god! You had your chance and I don't need you to be my wingman! I fly solo!"
She stares at Ja Sun with her eyes as wide as saucers. Fear accumulates in her heart.
Their earlier meeting, as short as it might have been, only made Ja Sun look like an eccentric but upbeat youth. A passionate one even, if his intense gaze is anything to go by.
But at this moment... he reveals none of that.
Even if he has six eyes now, he only holds her quiet gaze. She cannot feel any intent around her body, too. But... his gaze is still intense.
Scorching.
Jolting...
Divine.
"If you all wish to fear me, that is acceptable. I'm not here to rule any of you but merely usurp your God and despite what most divine forms want... they ARE usually feared." Ja Sun speaks, no, demands again, "Your name, Priestess."
"Bo... Saixi..." She whispers barely as the knuckles around her scepter turn white at his declaration.
"Hmm..." Ja Sun grunts in approval before pointing at her. The memories of Qian Xunji doing the same to Qian Daoliu resurfaces in his mind.
'A God can do this without any repercussions, I think... but what about a silly old mortal like me?' He smirks under his poisonous armor.
"Bo Saixi..." Ja Sun mutters and lays claim, like usual.
What?
Romance?
Hand Holding?
Ja Sun... is long beyond such means. Sure, his time with Ah Yin will remain fond of him and so will their past and whatever banters they may have in the future. But... truly, girls like Zi Ji, Erlong, and Ja Yin spoiled him a bit too much.
"No priestess of mine is going to have her Soul Origin marked by a divine salami!"
An enigmatic force of soul origin that Qian Xunji used escaped Ja Sun's body and Bo Saixi's eyes rolled back. She could hold her scepter no longer and she fell on her back. Before she hit the ground, however, Ja Sun snaps his fingers, and a gust of wind cushions her fall.
All seven Titled Douluos shiver for more reasons than just fear. But they still couldn't move. Anxiety and Anger burned through their veins.
*Crackle*
Sky above the island darkens at a speed visible to the naked eye and Ja Sun smirks.
'Yep, challenging God's authority is one of the other rules not to be broken.'
"Calm your tits!" Ja Sun laughs, "I have more reason to make you angry!"
After all, he came to one of the seven points on the island for a reason.
Stepping on the pillar casually instead of warping, Ja Sun taps the monument of the Mermaid.
This gives the sky a reason to share its darkness with a blood-red hue.
Attracting the attention of two gods— one who is all-powerful but can't do much from the divine realm; and the other one who is no longer all-powerful but can do a lot more— Ja Sun forcibly activates the key point of the array despite the final bit of divine intent resting within resisting his actions and...
*Crack*
He destroys it.
And with that, a loud wail from the sea around them itself echoes.
The sea is crying and wailing. The active tides settle. The aquatic beasts feel a sense of dismay but an incredible sense of relief at once!
"You malignant brute!" A loud roar shakes the island as a thin blood-red figure appears above the clouds.
Looking up and matching his gaze, Ja Sun grins, "You moron! If you're gonna find inheritances for your subordinates, obviously, I'm going to destroy any inheritance I come across!"
Qian Xunji glares at Ja Sun coldly before glancing at Bo Saixi.
"If that is the case, let's simply engage in collateral damages."
*Rumble*
Startling Qian Xunji, a massive pressure descends above the island, locking both, Ja Sun and the Blood God in place.
Qian Xunji hears Ja Sun's divine intent, "Oh, and destroying Divine Inheritance if you're a mortal is a cause for tribulation."
"Tell me something I don't already know."
Qian Xunji looks down only to find the broken Divine Grace Array patched up and even strengthened!
'How did he get so better in arrays this quickly?' Xunji frowns secretly but refrains from questioning him.
After all... like Ja Sun, Qian Xunji isn't beloved by the Gods either. Not after his acts against the Toxin God.
