Added 8 new enemy types to challenge your business and implemented a revised mercenary system to protect against their assaults.
When dealing with enemies in waves, mercenaries can reduce the number of attackers by half.
But success will depend on attack difficulty (as the story progress, the difficulty increases).
Furthermore, EXP is still earned whenever mercs manage to reduce enemy numbers.
Then you'll have to deal with the remaining enemy units in battle yourself.
There are two other choices, ignore or attack manually.
Ignoring will damage reputation, and maintenance and cancels "Night Services" for the day.
The full attack option will send you directly into full combat without reducing enemy waves, which can be a challenge to win as each new wave becomes more difficult.
The amount of mercenaries lost during battle varies depending on the size of the enemy force; even when defeated, you won't necessarily lose all your mercs - currently, it's set at a maximum of half of them.
This mechanic will work with Tomomitsu attacks later on too once we start fighting him directly.
As for the remaining work, I should finish the new oiran training this week and wrap up the story content shortly afterward.
