(A16-Poll) What version is better for you?

Before I make a mistake and ruin this animation with my initial idea, I would like to know which version will look better for you.

But before that, here's what it should have been like in the first place:

Backstory - "In one of the books stolen from a nearby witch, Hoodwink found an interesting way to refill mana. Inefficent, but insanely pleasurable"

The idea of this method is to spill a few Clarities (Mana-refilling potion) and use some magic on it. After some time potion will begin to thicken and begin forming the shape you choose. Most of the shapes created are unstable and rapidly decay from a solid state to a liquid state.

After Hoodwink spilled these potions and did some magic stuff on them, a newly created pool of glowing liquid will begin forming tentacles that will try to coil around everything they find. Only a few will get a stable form, which helps them maintain their form for a longer time. You can see them on the first WIP and on the next post with images for this poll.

This was the original idea (Option 1 in this poll)

For the alternative version, things are a lot simpler:

Instead of a pool of mana, the source of tentacles will be a small lotus. Tentacles will be organic, like in most of my projects. The flower model is temporary.

My thoughts about it:

I prefer a magic version, but I'm not sure how good it will look, especially from a backside view angle. The main difficulty is the fact that these magical tentacles are constantly leaking. Her rear will be fully covered in fluid, which won't look good as fluids aren't fully transparent.

For the alternative, things are a lot easier. I need to model a flower, which isn't a hard task. This version is just a good alternative with a solid foundation.

Note that both pictures I added are not final. They use temporary materials and lighting setup.
