Akari Mega Stone TF Part 1 (The Kindest Patron+)

It was yet another sunny day in Jubilife Village as Akari breathed in the lovely, clean air she had grown accustomed to. Having just left her room, the blue-haired Survey Corps member was about to give Captain Cyllene a morning visit to tell her she’d do routine pokemon field research, but a familiar face blocked her way.

“Good morning, Akari!” The girl’s redheaded friend shot her a warm smile. “Good morning, Arezu,” She replied. “Did you want to see me or…?”

“Oh yes, I thought we could spare a bit?” There it was, yet another training request.

“Sure, go ahead, I’ll catch up in a sec~” Akari replied with a smile of her own as her hoodie-wearing friend turned around and made her way towards the training grounds.

“Guh, ever since Arezu decided to stop working as a hairdresser, she’s been acting so strange… I can’t help but feel like she’s hiding something from me too… If only I could help her somehow…” The girl sighed, unaware that a certain someone overheard her wish… Said someone being none other than Jirachi, a pokemon whose entire existence centered around granting wishes like these. And so, with a snap of its chubby fingers, the little creature acted upon Akari’s desire before flying away in search of more people in need.

…Sadly, the sort of help the redhead wanted, and the kind of help her friend was willing to give weren’t exactly the same…

H-huh…? All of a sudden, Akari’s whole view changed. Mere seconds ago she was still next to her house but now, all she could see was the clear, blue sky and some trees around her… Though they certainly looked different, more like blades of grass if anything… What in the hell happened?!

“She’s taking quite a while, isn’t she, Lopunny?”

It was Azeru’s voice! She was talking to her pokemon!

“Well, I just hope she hasn’t figured anything out just yet… I really don’t want to give this body up… then again, I’m not sure if they can even force me out of it in the first place…”

What?! Give her body up…? So, was Arezu actually…? Akari would’ve gulped but… she couldn’t. In fact, the girl learned quite quickly that she couldn’t move at all! What in the world was happening?! Where was that redhead anyway, she couldn’t see her at all…

“Oh, what’s this…? Lopunnite…? And is that a mega bracelet too?! Damn, I didn’t know those existed back then!” Out of nowhere, Akari felt her sides being pinched by a pair of warm… something’s, as she was raised into the air, only to realize…

Everything was bigger. So, so much bigger. It didn’t take her long to realize that the ‘trees’ she was earlier were actual blades of glass and… Arezu! She was as big as Mount Coronet, if not even larger!

“...Okay, let’s try it out! This might give us the little push we needed to reach the next level!” With that, Akari felt herself being thrown high into the air, the rabbit pokemon catching her before she could land on the ground. Right behind her, a clicking sound could be heard - a sound she was unaware originated from her redheaded friend clasping the bracelet onto her hand. “Lopunny, mega evolve!”

Before Akari could even attempt to try to understand what these words meant, she felt unusual but weirdly positive energy flowing through her tiny body. It was at this moment that she understood. Despite never seeing one in her life or even knowing what it was, the fact that she was a mega evolution stone, Lopunnite to be exact, entered her mind.

I-I’m… just a stone now…? Akari couldn’t believe it, yet it felt true. Not to mention… it felt good. She wasn’t sure if it was just her new body reacting to this whole ‘mega evolution’ thing but… as she was held by the now bigger and stronger Lopunny, she couldn’t help but be full of energy or positivity, as if she was cheering her friend on a big, big stadium!

That rush of passion and zeal would last for a few more minutes as Arezu… or… well, whoever inhabited her body, ordered her companion to keep using different attacks on random rocks or trees to see how powerful the pokemon’s new form was…

…But as with all good things, that rush soon came to an end and Akari was left wondering again, what will happen next?
