Chapter 123: Clones, Matrix, and Immortality

It was a week after the incident with the White Fang, and drilling it into Weiss’s skull that not all faunus were thieves, cheaters, and liars. And a few things had happened, mostly on Gwen’s end, but also some things involving the greater world, the girls, and team RWBY. 

Gwen over the week, had created a few dozen clones, each of them with some very specific missions around the world. 

There were 10 clones that were entirely focused on absorbing the bodies of grimm, and grimm pools. This was done as she could not only create shadow clones like in Naruto, but biological ones as well, that she could then reabsorb back into herself to gain any sort of powers they had gained over that time. In essence, they were her, but just split off somewhere else. 

There was another 10 that was traveling to the core of Remnant, in order to get an up close look at what the hell was happening inside the planet, and why the grimm pool was even a thing in the first place. 

Another 10 were traveling the world gathering all sorts of dust, dust more pure than anything the Schnee’s or any other group sold, dust that she’d be using in the future for some experiments. One of those experiments involved androids and artificial life, but that was for the future. 

Another 10 were off-world, traveling amongst the solar system to see what sort of minerals the other planets had. From what she could tell, this solar system had a few planets that were habitable, and a large amount of asteroids that had all sorts of materials inside. So far she had found a few interesting materials, like one that had its own gravitational pull (albeit a weak one), one that passively generated its own energy, and a few more. 

The final 10 was just training for her, mostly in regards to the force, haki, and some of her other more dangerous energies. She also had them focusing on growing her skills, and even practicing with her noble phantasms. But those were done out of the way due to how incredibly destructive a few of them could get. 

As her clones were training and traveling, Gwen herself had been doing some forging, finishing the rest of her girlfriends weapons, while also upgrading the weapons of team RWBY and JNPR after they asked her to, upon seeing how powerful her girlfriends weapons had become. 

She had continued her development of the Infinity Stones, and had found herself closer to understanding how to sever their connection to their own reality. But it was slow going, even with all her intellect, as while she did have the monstrous intelligence of the Doctor and Rick Sanchez, these were the physical embodiments of concepts, and not something to just mess with casually. 

She hoped to have them done by the time they left this world, which she planned on doing within the next few months, as she found that while it was a decent vacation world, it was admittedly kind of…boring for the most part. She realized that the quiet and peaceful life just wasn’t her thing, not for extended periods of time at least. That and the girls were growing to realize that this world was pretty weak, even for them. 

Anyways, she had of course completed a number of quests during this time, mostly involving grimm, but a few were also involving forging and some others.

From this, she had decided to turn all of them besides 103 into TL tickets, and then consume the 100 nl tickets. This was mostly for the next system evolution that would most likely be arriving before she left this world, and in that new evolution, Gwen imagined the quests would get truly difficult, due to the level of power those the tickets she could fuse into, would be. 

From those 103 tickets, she had gotten some truly powerful characters, and the characters even came in a different format, making it a bit easier for her to read.

The characters that had really gotten were the speedsters for obvious reasons, Van Hohenheim, Father, Alucard, and a handful of others. 

The speedsters had finally granted her the Speedforce, albeit the CW version. It made her…ridiculously fast, even faster than she already was, as the speed force had massively strengthened what was already there. Her senses, reaction speeds, learning speeds, and everything related, had all been strengthened to entirely new levels to compensate for her speed, which was far beyond light speed at this points. 

Van Hohenheim and Father were both giving her a shit load of new souls that massively strengthened her energy. 

But it was Alucard that had really gotten her attention more than anything, as it was based around the Alucard after he had absorbed Schrodinger himself. Granting her a sort of Omnipresence, but not exactly. It doesn’t literally make him Omnipresent, as in EVERYWHERE all at once, but more of a he can go and be anywhere as long as he wills it, and even this, is most certainly not untouchable. 

Still, it granted her an absolute monstrous new ability, as well as the literal millions of souls that made up his form, and now…now others would have to kill those souls in order to kill her. For every soul that she absorbs, she found that she could now use it to fund this new “Soul Defense” which would mean someone would have to effectively kill her millions of times before they can truly kill her, and that was not even considering her countless other immortalities. 

Normally she wouldn’t be able to do this, due to the way Schrodinger's essence had worked, but thanks to her own soul and the way it functioned as not being a “Clump of souls” like Alucard's had, but one singular one, she could keep the souls and the ability. And with Schrodinger's essence, she had ANOTHER form of immortality. 

Basically…she was a wannabe Wukong when it came to immortality, and at the rate she was going, she was pretty sure she’d overcome the Monkey King in terms of different forms of immortality. She already have like a dozen so far…

There was one more set of characters that really caught her attention, and that was…the Primes. 

They had the matrix of leadership, aka an overpowered object that was directly connected to the creator god of Transformers…Primus himself, and now she had that. As it was considered a “Part” of the Primes, due to it connecting to their very souls and sparks, meaning…it was now held within her very “Spark” and it wasn’t just one of them, but 3. And from it, her soul was under a constant evolution now, as it was being strengthened by the divine power of the Matrix. 

She had no idea what sort of effects it would have on her, connecting her to Primus himself, but she was weirdly excited to find out. As whatever it was, it wasn’t harming her, and was continuing to strengthen her, as if boosting her towards some sort of “Soul Evolution” one that was also strengthening her cores, energies, and everything else that was connected to her very soul. 

At the moment Gwen was doing something a bit more important, in the form of…getting ready for a date with Artemis, as she hadn’t been on one in a while. 

Switching her clothes around, Gwen let out a hum as she found herself ready. Inwardly thinking about the date. 

‘I wonder how the movies in this world are? I haven’t really paid much attention to them yet, so maybe one of those could be interesting. Obviously some more of this world's food, and maybe we can take a visit down to Menagerie? I haven’t been there in person yet, and it might be interesting to find some faunus made food’ Gwen thought with a hum, before deciding to do exactly that. 

Walking to the door, Gwen had one final thought as she left to meet Artemis, and that was…

‘Let’s hope nothing annoying happens during the date…’
