[The Red Keep, Kings Landing] - [93 AC, 188 Years Before the Birth of Daenerys Targaryen]
Aemma Targaryen, wife of Viserys Targaryen, was in horrid, excruciating pain. Pain covering her entire body as sweat trickled down her body, screams escaping her as she threw her head back.
At her side stood her husband, and around her the Maester and his aid.
“One more push princess, we can see the head!” The maester - an aged balding man - said, as Viserys grimaced, his hand pained as his wife gripped it harshly.
“He’s almost here my love!” Viserys yelled, grimacing as one more scream echoed through the room, soon followed by the soft pants of Aemma, and then…silence.
“You did it my love, you did it” Viserys whispered, a soft laugh escaping him as he turned to the maester.
“Is he okay? Is my son okay?” Viserys asked, turning to the aged man.
“He is fine, my prince. It would seem he is a quiet one, not common, but it does happen. He simply needs a quick spank and you’ll hear his cries” The man said as he did exactly that.
“WAAAAH” The cries of a baby followed soon after. But those cries were not just because of the spank to it’s arse, but also…because…it was not a normal baby.
‘That hurt your arsehole!’ The baby was in fact, not a baby.
‘One moment I die and the next I’m shoved out of some white haired lady as a baby. Is this one of those fanfic situations? If so, why me?’ The baby thought, all the while, the Maester spoke to his King.
“What shall you name him, your grace?”
“...Balerion, Balerion Targaryen” Viserys spoke after a few moments of thought.
“After the Black Dread? An excellent choice, your grace” The Maester said with a smile, as he gazed at the Prince, and the son of Baelon Targaryen, the current Heir to the Iron Throne. Viserys was a Young 16 years old, while his bride, Aemma, was even younger than him, being 14. So was the ways of this world, teen pregnancy was a norm here, even if it was awful for the health of the Mother.
The baby now named Balerion, inwardly breathed out in realization ‘...Game of Thrones…I’m in Game of Thrones. Not only that, but I’m the son of Viserys Targaryen and Aemma…meaning I’m the older brother of Rhaenyra…and the Heir to the Iron Throne’
‘...At least tell me I got a cheat or something’ Balerion thought, only to blink as he heard a voice behind his new father.
“I didn’t think this is where I’d go after death. But I suppose watching my ancestors is better than nothing” A voice sounded out, as Balerion glanced over, not being able to see the figure.
“But I don’t recall a “Balerion Targaryen” in our past, perhaps he was inconsequential?” The voice mused, speaking his thoughts out loud, as Balerion just looked confused.
“I-Is he okay Viserys?” Aemma’s voice cut Balerion out of his thoughts, as he heard his new teen mother speak.
“He’s alright, my love. He’s healthy and strong, no need to worry about that” Viserys replied, pressing a loving kiss to the forehead of his wife.
“G-good” Aemma whispered.
“Sleep love, he’ll be fine without you. The servants will take care of everything” Viserys spoke, as Aemma slowly nodded, leaning back in the bed and shutting her eyes.
‘What is happening?’ Balerion thought, as he truly was confused, he knew that he passed from cancer, but to reappear in what he thought to be a fictional world? As a Prince at that? If this was truly real, then he thanked whatever God for putting him in a half decent situation.
He had been a huge history buff in his past life, absorbing any piece of history he could get his hands on, absorbing that piece of information like a sponge. He had learned a lot, and with all that knowledge, he was confident in living in this world.
But for now…for now he’d need to get used to being a little baby.

[4 Years Later] [97 AC] [Red Keep, Kings Landing]
“My Prince, you mustn't run!” A servant's voice sounded out, followed by childish laughter. The laughter of one Balerion Targaryen.
He had been living in this world for four years now, four agonizing years. Four years of acting like a child, sucking milk out of a breast, playing with toys (which was boring) and dealing with baby speak.
In those four years, he had found out what that mysterious voice was, or who it belonged to.
“If you continue to run, your mother won’t be pleased, Balerion” The voice of the same man Balerion heard during his birth.
“I know Uncle Aemon, but she won’t be able to get mad if she doesn’t see!” Balerion grinned as he continued to run.
His destination? The library of course! He was excited to read the next book chronicling the journey of Aegon the Conqueror and his conquest of the seven kingdoms.
The “Uncle Aemon” Balerion spoke of was in fact…Aemon Targaryen, the Maester brother of Aegon the Unlikely also known as “Egg”, the same Aemon who would watch over Jon Snow in the far future. The man shouldn’t even exist in this time period, and yet he did. The man had become a teacher of sorts to Balerion, and was his closest friend in these four years of living.
Balerion found that he had some rather…interesting abilities, blessings more like.
So far, he had found the “Blessing of the Stranger” which allowed him to seemingly speak to the dead, although so far, he had only spoken to Uncle Aemon, and Aegon Targaryen the First (More like he saw the man for a few moments and that was it).
The “Blessing of the Crone” which had given him an absolutely perfect memory, and a much higher comprehension and learning speed than before, learning and understanding things far faster than even an adult would compare to. Basically making him a genius. As he had learned and understood Valyrian faster than even an adult, and was currently learning the laws of Westeros, and the last few houses he had not learned about yet.
He only had those two so far, but he was confident that he would gain more blessings in the future. He wasn’t sure if it was some sort of “Cheat” that had been given when he had been reborn, or if it was something else. Whatever it was, it gave him a sizable boon, albeit nothing that made him superhuman, not like Captain America. But, he was still 4, so that could change in the future.
“Yes, child, but if she does find out, then she could ban you from the library, and you do not wish for that, do you? And you must remember that she is with child, the stress you may bring her is not good for the babe” Aemon said wisely, as Balerion entered the library.
Balerion sighed upon hearing this, before nodding slowly “Okay, okay, I won’t run. I know it’ll be bad for Mother and Nyra” Balerion spoke, knowing exactly who was going to be born.
His little sister Rhaenyra Targaryen, the “Black Queen” and Viserys Heir, normally at least. But now that he existed, that was…unlikely. But knowing how fucked fate was, who knew.
Aemon sighed at the child's antics, knowing that no matter how much he asked, Balerion wouldn’t tell him how he knew who he was, or who his sister would be. He had found that Balerion was in fact, not an inconsequential figure, and in fact, didn’t even exist in his world, leading him to believe he was in some sort of strange past that was different than his own. Whatever it was, he wasn’t against it, as Balerion had proved to be both incredibly amusing, and interesting. The child very much enjoyed his teachings, as Aemon basically became his teacher in all areas he had expertise in (which were many, thanks to living for nearly 100 years).
Balerion, on the other hand, enjoyed learning from Aemon because…he was far more intriguing than any of those lousy Maesters his father had hired. They were all boring as hells, and were awful at teaching. That, and he didn’t trust them at all, not with them being related to the Hightowers, therefore Otto Hightower. The man hadn’t made an appearance just yet, due to his grandfather Baelon still being the hand to the King, although the man would die in the coming years, once he was 8.
Balerion quite liked his grandfather Baelon, but he also knew that the man's death wasn’t something he could stop, considering he was simply a child, a child that no one would listen to, not yet. Especially considering his grandfather's rather rambunctious man. He was basically a lovable fool.
It would be in that same year that the Great Council would be held to decide the heir to the Throne (officially), and then two years later, the current (and greatest) King Jaehaerys Targaryen would pass after 60 years of ruling (The longest ruling period in the history of the Seven Kingdoms), and perhaps the most peaceful.
Balerion’s relationship with Jaehaerys and Alysanne had been…rather interesting, as the Old King and Queen had been rather…fond of the boy, for reasons no one besides themselves could understand. It wasn’t irregular to see Balerion sitting on his Great Grandfather's lap, listening to his stories and learning from him, which was a rather peculiar sight considering he was only 3 years old when it started.
Balerion knew that Alysanne would die in three years, with Jaehaerys dying three years after that. He liked them both very much, but he knew that he could do nothing for them either, for old age was their killer.
Sitting as he grabbed a nearby book, Balerion excitedly flipped it open, ready to continue the book on Aegon and his conquest, having just finished reading the part regarding the Field of Fire.
Sadly, before he could even begin to read, a servant briskly walked in, with a piece of news that caused Balerion’s eyes to widen, as he dropped the book and practically jumped to his feet.
“My prince, I apologize for interrupting, but…your mother is in labor!”

That’s the end of the chapter!
Not sure how well this was made, as it was written over a couple of days, and is my first fic in the ASOIAF/GOT/HOTD universe, so it might not be the best.
Not sure who the love interest for this fic will be, but considering how Targaryen’s are…I was thinking of going with Rhaenyra as she deserves a better fate then what happens to her (IYKYK).
The MC won’t be getting any sort of crazy powers or anything, and it will mostly stick with small boons that can be used to grow powerful, but nothing like super strength or immortality or anything like that, as that sort of thing does not suit/fit in the Game of Thrones universe.
Anyways, have a good day!
