Chapter 135: The Marvel Universe

[3rd POV] Reading the notification, Gwen grinned happily as she knew where she was. She also noticed the reward the system would be giving

Reading the notification, Gwen grinned happily as she knew where she was. She also noticed the reward the system would be giving her, a welcome one. 

Rewards - 5 SSL Tickets

She assumed this reward was because of the power of the universe she had appeared in, as it was far and away the strongest universe she had visited so far, and easily the most important. Had she traveled further in DC, it would have been on par with her current one, but she didn’t. 

“Home?” Raven asked confused as they looked at the large tower, the Avengers tower that housed the Avengers, and was their main “Homebase”. 

“You know of my origins, correct? How I appeared in the prison with no memories? Well…this universe, this place…I’m pretty sure this is where I originate from” Gwen replied, she knew she couldn’t ever speak of the truth of her reincarnation, but this was the best explanation she could give, and it was the truth, partially at least. 

At this explanation, their eyes went wide in surprise. They knew that Gwen wasn’t from their original universe, but to hear that they were now in what seemed to be her home universe, was a shock. 

“This-This is your home universe?! That’s amazing Gwen!” M’gann said with a smile, as they walked through the streets of New York City. 

“Eh, it’s alright. This universe is a hell of a lot more dangerous than anything we’ve seen so far, which is why you all need to be very very careful, alright? There’s beings here that not even I can afford to anger” Gwen responded, making sure they understood just how dangerous this universe truly was. 

“How strong are the beings in this universe, to make even you nervous?” Korra asked with wide eyes. 

“There are beings in this universe that could atomize Multiverses with ease, Korra. There are beings that make Darkseid and Trigon look like worms beneath their boots, trust me, this is not a universe I can take lightly” Gwen responded, at the mention of Trigon and Darkseid, the rest of their eyes widened in shock, understanding now just how powerful the universe was.

“How are we going to contend against something like that?” Artemis asked wide eyed. 

“At the moment we can’t. But, I have a lot of plans for the future Artemis, these plans include making us all stronger than ever before, to levels that can allow us to rival beings like that, even if it’ll be in the far future. I’ve also got plans for upgrading your weapons and armor, as well as all sorts of technology that’ll give us the edge against some of these beings. Either way, the beings shouldn’t attack us or anything, not for a while at least” Gwen responded, hoping to calm them down, knowing that they were nervous about the dangers of this universe. 

“Alright, let’s just hope it’ll be enough” Korra said with a sigh as Gwen just chuckled. 

“Trust me, we’ll be fine” Gwen responded, before inwardly claiming her 5 TL tickets and 5 SSL tickets. In the case of the SSL tickets, she used her new function to specify them as Marvel characters, in hopes of getting some stronger characters. And did the same with TL, but specified for Fate characters. 

And it seemed that worked.

[Marvel - Blob (616), Susan Storm (616), Jean Grey (616, No Phoenix), Colossus (616), Exodus (616)]

Glancing at the character, Gwen controlled her expression, but inwardly she was laughing happily. Exodus, Blob, Susan, and Jean were all incredible, with Jean and Exodus both being Omega Level  mutants. And while Jean wouldn’t come with the Phoenix Force for obvious reasons, it was still an incredible boon. 

The Fate characters were also great, all of them at that. First Hassan, Romulus, Karna, and Arjuna were all incredible boons, with Quetzalcoatl also being fantastic. And while it wasn’t Grand Assassin Hassan, or Divinity Romulus, it was still great either way. 

‘Go ahead and assimilate’ Gwen thought as they continued to walk the streets of New York. Her control over her own body and power was practically absolute at this point, allowing her to control the assimilation process, which gave her the ability to assimilate the characters without causing any sort of outward reaction.  

The assimilation began in the next instant as Gwen breathed out, as she felt her psychic powers rapidly grow higher and higher in power, as the range of telepathy grew farther and farther, and the ease of use grew more and more. Her telekinetic powers grew to entirely new realms of power and control, as she felt the control over it increase. 

She wasn’t even sure how strong her telepathy and telekinesis was, but she was sure it was amongst the strongest in the universe, with only the likes of Nate Grey, The Phoenix, and a handful of others surpassing her. 

As the assimilation ceased, Gwen let out a pleased sigh, only to stop as she felt…something. 

‘...Seems baldy has noticed me’ Gwen thought, frowning as she felt someone trying to gaze into her head, only for her to scowl and snap back at them with her own telepathic force, which wouldn’t hurt them, but it sure would scare the hell out of them.

[Somewhere in North Salem, New York]

Underneath a large fanciful mansion, a man sat in a wheelchair, sweat trickling down his forehead as he took off a strange piece of technology off of his bald head. This was Charles Xavier, also known as Professor X. 

“O-Omega level” Charles whispered in shock, as he remembered the telepathic attack that he endured from the young mutant that he had gazed upon. Whoever she was, she was incredibly powerful, and seemingly had a lot of control over her power. 

“Professor?! Are you okay? Your heart rate spiked far beyond the norm!” A blue skinned furry man said as he ran into the room. This was Hank McCoy, also known as Beast. 

“I am quite alright, Hank. I was just blind sided, that is all” 

“Was it a new mutant?” Hank asked, realizing that whoever caused this, they were much stronger than normal. 

“It would seem so. Get the team ready, as well as the jet. It is absolutely imperative that we find this young woman before he does. Ah, and make sure to get young Jean to come along, I do believe she will be of great help with this specific individual” Charles replied, understanding that whoever this was, they were at least as powerful as Young Jean was, and perhaps Jean would finally have someone who understood her struggles in regards to telepathy. 

“Alright! We’ll be all ready in 10 minutes” Hank said before running off, understanding that this was an important mission.

Watching one of his most trusted friends run off, Charles sighed ‘Let us hope that he does not find her first…’

Far off, another man was having similar thoughts, as he readied his Brotherhood, both of them after one person, the same person…that being Gwen.

[3rd POV] [Back with Gwen]

‘Seems the Baldy and his Pal Magnet Man are both going to be coming for me…just what I wanted’ Gwen thought with a somewhat pleased smile. Why was she pleased? Simple, she was interested in meeting members of the X-Men. 

Creating her own team was one of her simplest and most important goals in this universe. As unlike other universes, she needed her own team to survive in a universe like this one, and there was several beings in the X-Men that she wanted in her team, most notably: Jean Grey, Rogue, Storm, Iceman, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, and a couple of others, but it all mattered on who was apart of the team at the moment. 

She was also interested in some of the brotherhood of mutants, mainly being Mystique and her wife, Destiny, if that was a thing in this reality at least. 

There were a lot of mutants she wanted to recruit that were outside of this group, such as Emma Frost, and even non-mutants, like Peter Parker, Venom, Squirrel Girl, and a handful of others. But that would be for the future, as she didn’t even exist in this universe technically, so recruiting them would be…problematic. 

‘For now…let’s get a hotel room and then…we can prepare to meet with Baldy and Magnet Man’ Gwen thought with a sigh.

‘...This is going to be annoying’

And annoying it was.

That’s the end of the chapter!

Next chapter will be her meeting the X-Men and Brotherhood, as well as some other stuff. Her rate of growth is going to massively slow now, as getting SSL tickets is incredibly difficult, as quests are harder than before, making it longer and harder to get TL tickets to then transform into SSL ones. 

Daughter of God should be getting updated today. A vault chapter should be coming tomorrow or so. 

Who should the last love interest be? I had these girls on my mind: Susan Storm, Rogue, Jean Grey, Emma Frost, and X-23. Not sure who to choose, but I just wanna hear y’alls thoughts.
