Chapter 130 [Vault]

[3rd POV] 

Continuing to walk for a few more minutes, Fenghua eventually stepped out from the forest, and smiled as she looked down and stared upon the location she was hoping to find. Floating Cloud City, the starting point of Yun Che’s journey, and the perfect place for her first sign in. 

“It’s a lot bigger in person” Fenghua muttered, noticing that it was quite large for a city in the Profound Sky Continent, one of the three continents of this world. The city itself housed tens of thousands of people, and was home to a few clans, with only one of them being of any note, this being the Xiao Clan, which is the clan that Yun Che and Xia Qingyue “Hailed” from. 

‘System, how long until canon begins?’ Fenghua asked inwardly as she began to walk towards the City. 

[6 months, host] 

‘6 months huh…that means I’ve got 6 sign ins, not including the one I’ve got today. Should be more than enough time to break through to a higher cultivation realm or two, hopefully beyond Nascent Profound by then. At the very least, it’ll give me the opportunity to grow my power of destruction, which even in this universe, is likely incredibly powerful’ Fenghua thought, remembering that the Power of Destruction even affected Souls, and in a world like this one, would likely be able to affect concepts and “Laws”. 

‘If I remember correctly, Xia Qingyue is currently in the first level of True Profound or perhaps Nascent Profound? Either way, my target will be Nascent Profound at least. I should be able to do at least that much. And even if I don’t get there, my combat prowess is already at that level’ Fenghua thought, knowing that “Combat Prowess” was basically the amount of power she actually had. As in the case of someone like Yun Che, he could have a cultivation level of Nascent Profound, but fight against a True Profound, an entire realm higher, thanks to various bloodlines, bodies, techniques, etc. 

‘For now, let’s get down there and get that first sign in’ Fenghua thought, as she began to walk off, ready to enter the city, and get her first sign in.

After walking for a few more minutes, she had finally stood in front of the entrance to the City, people walking to and from various shops in the City, as she entered. The first thing she had noticed upon entering, was the stares. She was a tall, and incredibly beautiful/handsome woman. And with her being in a world like this one, where women were preyed upon, she knew it was only a matter of time before some arrogant young master came around and tried to force her into becoming his concubine or something similar. 

Fenghua just ignored the stares though, as from what her senses were telling her, they were all around Elementary Profound levels 1-3, which seemed to be the average for a cultivator in this place. It was only the clans and sects that tended to have higher levels, and even then, they were only slightly better (usually). 

Walking through the streets, she smiled as she eventually found her target location. It was a large property that belonged to the Xiao Clan, the main home of Xia Qingyue, and others. It was also the best place to use her first sign in. 

Moving to a nearby bench (which were a thing funnily enough), Fenghua sat down and inwardly spoke to the system. 

‘Sign in, system’

[Due to this being the first sign in, the rewards for the sign in shall be more than usual, but this will be the only time this happens!]

Reading through the three of them, her eyebrows shot up in surprise. The Nine Profound Exquisite body alone was already great for her, as it would basically allow her to learn and use any profound art, even if her body theoretically shouldn’t be able to handle it. She imagined it would also make her combat prowess even stronger. 

It was the Blessing that really got her attention though. As increasing the purity and density of her energies to the point that they can allow her to fight against people 1-2 realms above her, was incredible, especially combined with the power she already had. 

She would also have a lot of money to work with now too, especially in terms of finding some lodging and food. Not that she really needed to eat or sleep much thanks to her being a cultivator, and her being a devil. 

‘I should probably get somewhere safe before I assimilate any of this’ Fenghua decided, as she got to her feet, before walking off. 

Unknown to Fenghua, she was being watched by a feminine gaze, one full of interest as she watched the tall redheaded woman walk off. This gaze was full of power, beyond what Fenghua was capable of sensing at the moment. 

‘...That girl…perhaps Qingyue won’t be the only recruit I find from this place’ The woman thought with interest, watching the girl leave, before turning her gaze to where her protege was, watching her cultivate, a small smile forming on her face. 

‘That shall wait…for now’

Back with Fenghua, she walked until she was outside of the city, finding a decently sized tree to sit under, as she breathed in deeply, and spoke to the system ‘System, claim the rewards’

[Claiming rewards. The coins shall be deposited within your spatial ring. Warning to the host, this assimilation of the Body and Blessing shall be painful, but not as much as before]

‘Yeah I figured that’ Fenghua thought with a sigh, before a burst of pain began to assault her form. 

Feeling this, she crossed her legs into a meditation pose, as she shut her eyes and breathed in deeply, concentrating on fighting off the pain, not allowing it to overwhelm her mind as she felt her body begin to evolve and grow beyond what it was before, well beyond. 

The pain wasn’t as bad as before, like the system had said, nor had it lasted nearly as long. While Fenghua had her eyes shut, a soft crimson glow formed around her, as she began to unknowingly cultivate, her body adapting to the new changes, as she began to break through to new levels.

As she began to break through in power, Fenghua breathed out a sigh of pleasure, as energy filled her being, her eyes slowly opening as she looked at her new status.

‘Peak 10th level? I thought it’d be beyond that…but I guess an entire realm above is good. And I imagine it’s more so because I have no Profound Arts or any other techniques, which doesn’t let me use the full force of my power, besides what I can just automatically do as a devil’ Fenghua thought as she got to her feet, understanding that it was this way due to her not knowing any sort of techniques or anything. 

‘For now, let’s get back and find an Inn to stay at, and get some food as well. Then I can start to cultivate while waiting for next month, once that comes, I’ll sign in somewhere that has techniques, maybe a Library or somewhere people train their profound arts at’ Fenghua thought, deciding that would be the best course of action, as she couldn’t really get any new techniques until then, not any good ones at least. 

Beginning to walk off, Fenghua had one last thought on her mind as she made her way back to Floating Cloud City. 

‘Let’s go find an Inn!’

That’s the end of the chapter!

Next chapter will likely be a timeskip, Fenghua is smart enough to train as hard as possible before canon rolls around to not get fucked over. Give me ideas for what she should get in some future sign-ins!

Daughter of God will be getting updated in a bit. 

Serious question, should I replace one of my current Main fics (Unique Gamer) with another? As in, do what I did with the Daughter of God a while ago? Make Unique Gamer one of the fics to get updated every 3-4 days and then replace it with a vault fic? If so, which one? Should I replace it with this one? Or a different one? 

I’ll ask the same question in the daughter of God chapter as well, as it is important. I don’t have writer's block or anything, but I have noticed that people have started to talk about how stale that fic has gotten, so maybe it’d be better to replace it as a main fic with something else?
