Chapter 131 [Vault]

Time had passed since Fenghua had signed in for the first time. During that time, Fenghua had managed to not only find herself an inn, but even buy herself a decent sized home within the city, which came with a small garden that was excellent for cultivation. The home itself was rather cheap thanks to her having a lot of money to spend, more than enough to buy a home perfect for her.

During this time, she had regularly gone into the forests around the city, finding, and killing various beasts that varied from 1st Level Elementary Profound, all the way to 5th level. Each and every one of them netted her a decent profit thanks to their bodies being used for alchemy and the creation of pills. 

Using her fights against the Profound Beasts, she had begun to train in her usage of the Power of Destruction, demonic energy, and profound energy. She found that her power of destruction was…far too strong to use against a normal Profound Beast, as it completely obliterated them down to the very last atom. More than that, it was very draining on her energy, and couldn’t be used a lot, not yet at least. 

The most important thing that she had done in this month, was cultivation. Which was surprisingly rather enjoyable, and very peaceful. During that time, she had grown a decent bit, and had nearly broken through to the 9th Level Elementary Profound in demonic energy, and is nearly at the peak of 10th level Elementary Profound in Profound Energy. 

The growth was pretty astounding for a normal cultivator, as usually it took months to years to break through a single minor level in a realm, even more so once you start to get to higher levels and higher realms. Only people like Xia Qingyue, Yun Che, or other incredible geniuses could grow that fast or even faster. 

And Fenghua would grow faster, should she have more legacies, unique veins, and such. 

At the moment Fenghua was walking through the streets of Floating Cloud City, heading to the public library that existed within the city. The library itself housed various pieces of knowledge on things like different profound beasts, herbs, and even a couple of low level techniques that anyone could learn, but nothing truly important or powerful. 

Fenghua just hoped that it would give her a good sign in reward, as it had officially been a month since she last signed in, and she desperately needed some good techniques to work with. Anything would be better than nothing in her case. 

Stepping into the library after paying the librarian an entrance fee, Fenghua walked in as she looked for a spot to sit, soon finding it. 

Sitting by herself, she let out a small sigh and spoke inwardly to the system ‘System, sign in’

[Cultivation Technique - Heavenly Profound Cultivation Technique: A lost technique of ancient times. It is a rather simple, yet incredibly effective technique that involves the manipulation of one's Profound entrances. It allows the one using the technique to absorb 5x the normal amounts of energy, therefore, allowing the user of this technique to cultivate 5x faster. This technique currently has only 1 stage, its initial one. But should the user experiment, then they could potentially make this technique even stronger]

[Sword Art/Technique - Sun Breathing: The “Sun Breathing” is a breathing style passed down in the Demon Slayer universe. It is made up of 13 different techniques in one “Art” of sorts, with each technique being used in the 13th and final technique. Due to the user possessing Profound Energy, this “Sun Breathing” is much more literal, and may have new and unique usages]

[Basic Knowledge on Poisons, herbs, Beasts, sects/clans, and Locations in the Blue Wind Empire]

Fenghua’s eyes widened as she used a book to cover her expression, her reaction being mostly due to the cultivation technique and the Sword Art. The Cultivation technique was a basic one, but a powerful one, as from what she remembered Against the Gods didn’t really have cultivation techniques that could increase the pace of cultivation, but instead, they had to rely on their own talent, bloodline, veins, and body. 

The technique wasn’t incredible in comparison to the techniques that she could get in a world like this one, but it was definitely more than enough for now, especially since she could combine it with Profound Energy and boost it far beyond its normal capabilities. 

‘Hmm, it’s all knowledge so this shouldn’t be too bad’ Fenghua thought, as she asked the system to go ahead and assimilate the new knowledge. As she did, she felt a slight influx of pain, akin to a migraine, but nothing in comparison to the pain of the last two assimilations. 

The pain soon began to cease, as Fenghua let out a small sigh of relief. The memories were cemented in her head, and she had to admit, they were…excellent. 

‘This cultivation technique…not only does it make cultivation 5x faster, it also has room for growth, and is very easy to use, as it is basically just normal cultivation, but with the added step of reciting a mantra inwardly when you begin cultivating’ Fenghua thought, excited to test it out soon. 

Sun breathing was pretty decent too, but she doubted it would hold up against some of the better sword techniques that would eventually appear. 

The basic knowledge was a big help, as it would give her a far easier time when she eventually decided to leave Floating Cloud City, and traveled to another city. That wouldn’t be for a while though, as she wanted to cultivate in peace until Yun Che “Awoke”. 

She was still deciding what to do about him, as he was…problematic to say the least. 

But for now, Fenghua got to her feet, and decided to head home, ready to continue her cultivation.

[2 Months Later]

Another 2 months had passed since Fenghua’s sign in within the library, and a decent bit had happened. 

For one, she had officially broken through into the Nascent Profound realm in profound energy, and reached Peak 10th level Elementary Profound in demonic energy. The power boost was extreme, especially once she had started to train in the usage of Sun Breathing, it was through this that she found out something else. 

Her talent in swordsmanship was immense. Within those 2 months, she had successfully learned and used every technique, and had even imbued Profound Energy into the techniques, finding that they were rather powerful when combined with the energy. Thanks to this fact, her Combat prowess was currently at 2nd Level True Profound. 

She had continued to hunt creatures outside of the city, and continued to rack up a lot of coins from it as well. It had gotten to the point that she had sensed people following her a few times now, and knew it was only a matter of time before someone tried something against her. 

Naturally, in the two months, she had signed in. For her first, she had done it in a training ground, which had given her 2 rather interesting rewards. 

[Sacred Gear - Sword Birth: Sword Birth has the ability to create numerous Demon Swords of different attributes according to the will of the user. It can also be used to create countless Demon Swords from any surface at a certain distance from the user that can also immobilize opponents. The user can also create multiples of the same sword and even pass them amongst others for them to wield]

[Sword Technique - Heavenly Lightning Blade: A sword technique that involves the infusion of powerful “Heavenly Lightning” into the blade. This lightning undergoes strengthening should the user obtain a higher affinity/connection to the Law regarding lightning]

The sword technique was…underwhelming to say the least. But the sacred gear was fantastic, as it would give her the ability to always have a weapon on her, one that will only continue to grow stronger as long as she did. 

During the second sign in, she had done it outside of Yun Che’s home, as signing in at the location of Yun Che’s residence would be the best way to get something powerful, and something powerful she did get, two of those in fact. 

[Profound Handle - The Hereditary ability of the Yun Family. It has two forms - Physical Manifestation (is solid and possesses a part of its owner's strength, can take almost any form and moves according to user's will) and Spiritual Manifestation (can be used to assault the spirit and read mind). What level this starts at is up to the user's own talent, the rankings for the Profound handle go from: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Cyan, Blue, Purple, and Gold. 

[Yun Che’s Medical Knowledge (Poisons, Herbs, healing, etc)]

Both of these had been rather…incredible for her, especially the Profound Handle, which had ended up appearing as Purple, the second highest level, and one that would only appear every “8,000 years” on average, making it much stronger and more powerful than just about any other. 

It was the knowledge that really had been huge for her, as it had been a huge boon in regards to picking up good herbs that were of use, and/or worth a lot of money. She didn’t really need things like pills, so alchemy was something she was very interested in exploring more in the future. 

At the moment she was walking through the forests outside of Floating Cloud city, trying to find some stronger Profound Beasts, but she had only found some minor “Wind Wolves” which were Profound beasts known for being quite fast, but also being weak, only being between levels 1-3 in Elementary Profound Realm. 

Fenghua stopped walking, as she looked forward, finding a rather familiar woman standing there, one she recognized from the Manhua. She was a member of a large and powerful sect known as the “Frozen Cloud Immortal Palace” or the “Frozen Cloud Asgard”, and was one of the “Seven Fairies”, she was the master of Xia Qingyue known as “Chu Yueli”. 

Fenghua had only one thought on her mind as she stared at the woman that was walking closer. 

‘...This’ll be good’
