Chapter 138 [Vault]

Walking alongside the Amazon’s, Velzard glanced around with interest, taking in the sights of Themyscira as they got closer and closer to the main city of the Island, where Hippolyta stayed, and where she ruled from. 

The amazon’s glared at her and kept close eyes on her as she walked alongside them, not liking the fact that an outsider was so close to their home, an outsider that they had never seen, heard of, nor had they even noticed her until she stepped foot on their beaches, which was one of the most guarded areas of the island.

“Your island is quite beautiful” Velzard noted, as she took in the surroundings, not caring about the glares that were sent her way. In her eyes, they were basically a bunch of children, so it really didn’t matter to her what they tried against her. Being a True Dragon would sort of change your perspective on things, especially people. 

Hippolyta, hearing this, glanced at Velzard “Thank you, outsider. This is my home, and my pride and joy” Hippolyta replied simply, as they continued to walk closer and closer to the large castle-like building that oversaw the city, as well as the Ocean that was to their left. 

Walking up the stairs to the building, they soon entered, where more Amazon’s were standing, glaring fiercely at Velzard who glanced at them boredly, once again not giving a shit about the way they were looking at her. Should they try anything, then she would just slap their heads off their shoulders, simple as that. 

Moving, Hippolyta stood in front of Velzard, and began to speak out loud, as some of the Amazons that were quietly conversing amongst one another, went silent. 

“We are here to speak of the outsider that has breached the barrier that surrounds our home! Now outsider, speak, how did you arrive here, and what is your purpose?” Hippolyta spoke out loud, as Velzard glanced at her with a raised eyebrow. 

“I believe I already said that, did I not? I have absolutely no idea how I appeared here, nor do I have any purpose here, for I don’t even know where “Here” is” Velzard replied bluntly, not caring for the glares of the surrounding Amazon’s, as one of them couldn’t help but speak upon noticing Vezard's tone. 

“Watch how you speak to our Queen, outsider!” A tall black haired woman yelled, giving Velzard a furious look as the woman just glanced at her, before snorting and looking back at Hippolyta who raised her hand in a motion of silence. 

“You would do well to remember where you are, outsider. Had I not stopped them, then they would have killed you” Hippolyta said, giving Velzard a glare of her own. 

“They’d try, but they’d fail. Look, I understand that I had appeared her out of nowhere, and am a “Outsider” but I mean no harm to you or your people. All I want is to leave, that is all. I could care less about you being the Queen of this place, and the fact that your people obviously wish to kill me” Velzard replied, growing increasingly annoyed with this conversation, as all she wanted was to leave. 

She was hoping to travel to the U.S and maybe visit Metropolis, Central City, and even Gotham. She liked Themyscira, but she did not like the Amazons whatsoever. Especially since she can literally sense the death surrounding the island, the deaths of a lot of young children. It was from this that she remembered one of the comics she had read regarding this island and its people. 

‘If I remember correctly, the Amazon’s would capture men and basically rpe them in order to be impregnated, before killing them after the fact. If they did get pregnant, and had a son, then they would toss them to the sea to die, or give them to Hephaestus, one of the two. And while I may be a True Dragon now, one that cares little for the lives of humans, even I cannot ignore such horrid actions’ Velzard thought, as she cared for little, but rpe? Killing children? Those were two things she could never ignore. 

Hippolyta narrowed her eyes at the woman, as she began to speak “You speak as if you could leave this place? That you could kill us? Do you truly believe someone as small and weak as you could do such a thing? You are a foolish little woman, guards, take her away!” 

Velzard hearing this, raised an eyebrow at the jump ‘Ah, she was planning on doing this either way, wasn’t she? She just wanted an excuse. I can only assume she is either fearful of me, or the Gods are involved. Either way, I’d rather not get put into the dungeons of these people’ Velzard thought, as the second one of them touched her, ice coated the form of everyone in the room besides Hippolyta, traveling outside of the building, coating not just the palace, but…The entire island. 

Hippolyta’s eyes shot wide as she leaped back, pulling her blade out as Velzard glanced at the Amazon that had touched her shoulder, only to get frozen. “I told you that you wouldn't have been able to do anything to me, you arrogant little woman. Now, unless you want me to shatter everyone on the island like they are glass, then I suggest you allow me to leave. I’d hate to drive your people to extinction” Velzard said, looking at Hippolyta who was staring at her, and then her guards, before glancing to her side, her eyes shooting wide at the sight of the entire island being coated in ice. 

“Wha-what are you?” Hippolyta asked, fear beginning to enter her heart for the first time in millennia, since Hercules and Ares. The two of them nearly ended the Amazon’s as a whole, and they only survived thanks to the aid of Aphrodite, who was their primary Patron Goddess.

Looking at Hippolyta, Velzard gave her an amused smile “Me? I am just a woman who wishes to live in peace, that is all. But you had to attack me and try to lock me up, when all I wanted was to leave this place. Now, you have been pushed into a situation that was easily avoidable, had you not been an arrogant little brat” Velzard said, as the “Brat” part was accurate, as she was a True Dragon, and thus, was likely far older than Hippolyta. 

If her body was accurate, then she’d be at least 20,000 years old, probably far older than even that. 

“So, will you allow me to leave, which will then cause the ice to melt at my will, or will you try and fight me, in which I will kill everyone on this island and then destroy it afterwards? Choose soon, lest I grow bored of waiting” Velzard said, not even bothering to fight off the True Dragon part of her anymore. She was pissed at this woman, and she was making sure she knew. It didn’t help that she hated what the woman had been doing to innocent men and children. Although she wouldn’t kill the children of Themyscira, Hippolyta didn’t need to know that. 

“A-As long as you promise to let my people go, and to never return” Hippolyta growled out, hating that she had to do this, she had her pride as a Queen, and this was damaging that pride. It also didn't help that she hadn’t had to do something like this in many many years. 

“Sure, I promise. Now, I’ll be leaving, once I get a sufficient range away, the ice will melt. I do hope you learn from this encounter, that not everyone will simply display their power like those Gods you seemingly worship, some prefer to be more lowkey, and I am one of those people” Velzard said, glancing once final time at the woman before walking out of the palace, smirking at the scream of rage that echoed from Hippolyta, as Velzard had one final thought on her mind. 

‘...But of course, I can’t leave without some treasure, now can I?~’

So yeah, the Amazon’s are…not good people, like at all. And this is all canon btw, the capturing men and then killing them after getting impregnated? Fully canon in the comics. 

Also, this will likely be my first try at an Enemy to Lovers romance, where Diana will think of Velzard as an enemy/villain (thanks to her mothers manipulations) only to realize that Velzard literally did nothing wrong (besides threatening some people, she hadn’t actually hurt anyone, just froze them for a bit). 

The chapter might seem short, but it was around 1.3k words, it was just put into larger paragraphs.
