Chapter 139 [Vault]

Title - Against the Gods: The Sign In System | Chapter 5 | Futanari MC

___________________________________________________________

[3rd POV]

Walking up to the entrance to the Xia Clan’s property, Fenghua stopped as a guard stood there. She remembered that this “Clan” was more specialized in business than martial arts, so the man in front of her was only in the Elementary Profound Realm, not all that strong.

“Halt! State your business!” The man said, staring Fenghua down.

“I’m here to see Xia Qingyue? My name is Li Fenghua, I believe she should be waiting for me” Fenghua said, as the man stopped and stared at her, before glancing inside.

“Give me a moment” He said, before slipping inside, as Fenghua stood there, a bored look on her face as she waited. She knew that Xia Qingyue was likely…not very trusting of her, which she understood, so she just hoped she could at least enter the Clans compound.

‘Wonder if we’ll actually be sparring, or if that was just an excuse for me to meet her protege. Probably the latter, as the older generation of worlds like this one, loves to butter up those with talent and potential, all of which I’ve got a lot of’ Fenghua thought with a sigh, before looking forward as the guard walked back.

“Come with me, Young Miss Xia Qingyue is waiting for you” The man said, motioning for her to follow, which she did, trailing behind him as they walked through the compound, towards the training grounds that Xia Qingyue used to practice her profound arts. The compound itself was…extravagant, and showed just how wealthy the Xia Clan was, as they specialized in business, meaning they made a LOT of money.

“She’s through those doors” The man said, as they stopped in front of a set of doors that led to what she can only assume was an outside training ground, as it was surrounded by stone walls and the large wooden doors in front. The cliche cultivation training grounds you always saw in stories.

“Thank you” Fenghua said with a nod to the man, before looking forward, smiling, and stepping through the doorway, into the training grounds.

Standing in the middle, was an attractive teen of the same age as her, something that was different than in the normal manhua. She had long dark hair cascading behind her back, dark eyes, a beautiful perfect figure, with “Jade Like Skin”, and an appearance that caused Fenghua to pause for a moment, as she stared upon Xia Qingyue.

[Either one, up to you]

“Are you the one my master spoke of? Fenghua?” Qingyue’s soft voice sounded out, as Fenghua shook off her slight surprise at the girl's beauty.

“I am. And you’re Xia Qingyue, right?” Fenghua replied, as Qingyue nodded, looking her over. She couldn’t sense her realm, but from what her master had said, Fenghua was monstrously talented, perhaps even more so than she was, which is saying a lot considering her rate of growth. That was the whole reason she was here, speaking to Fenghua.

Turning around, to face Fenghua, Qingyue looked slightly surprised as she gazed upon Fenghua’s tall form, her crimson red hair, and her toned figure. ‘She’s taller than master had said’ Qingyue thought, as the woman towered over her average 5’4 form.

“Taller than you were expecting?” Fenghua asked with a slightly amused look on her face, as Qingyue went silent before nodding slowly.

“My master told me you were tall, but not to this level. You are the tallest woman I’ve ever seen” Xia Qingyue replied genuinely as she truly hadn’t met someone of her size before, as in worlds like this one, women tended to be 5’4 or shorter, being taller than that was incredibly rare. Something about their internal energies or something, Fenghua wasn’t too sure about that.

“Well, I’ll take that as a compliment then, Young Miss” Fenghua replied with a small smile, walking closer to the girl.

“Do you wish to spar?” Qingyue asked, as she looked upon the tall woman, as Fenghua raised an eyebrow, before giving her a small smirk, a sword forming in her hand, which caused Qingyue’s eyes to widen slightly, before returning to normal.

“Why of course, that is why I came here after all” Fenghua said, swinging her blade downwards a couple of times to test it. It was a blade made to perfectly suit the Sun Breathing technique, so she wanted to make sure it actually felt good, and from what she could tell, it was perfect. It was in the form of a katana, as she had expected.

“What rules do you wish to follow?” Qingyue asked, as Fenghua hummed.

“As much as I’d enjoy using my profound arts on you…I don’t think that would be a good idea. So I believe it best we limit it to smaller arts, and swordsmanship. Ah, and of course, to either disarm or surrender” Fenghua replied after thinking for a few moments.

Qingyue, hearing this, nodded in agreement, as if she had used her more powerful arts then it would cause damage to the surroundings. She had learned that fact the hard way.

Standing across from Qingyue, Fenghua held her blade up, their eyes locking, before they both moved in a burst of pure sped, swords clashing as they locked them together.

“You’re better than I expected” Qingyue said, straining slightly from Fenghua’s superior physical strength.

“Thanks, princess” Fenghua replied, as Qingyue glared at her, pulling back and swinging her blade again, ice arcing slightly around it as Fenghua looked at her with teasing eyes.

Stepping back and dodging the slash, Fenghua breathed in and decided to show the girl the difference between the two, in pure swordsmanship.

Sun Breathing: Second Form - Clear Blue Sky

Spinning her body in a circular motion, she released a powerful 360 slash, flames traveling from her blade, as Qingyue’s eyes widened, before letting out a low grunt as she struggled to block the blow, only for her eyes to widen.

Sun Breathing: Seventh Form: Sunflower Thrust

As she raised her blade to block the thrust, she looked down at her empty hands, her blade flying back behind her from the powerful thrust made to penetrate defenses.

With the blade pointed towards Qingyue’s throat, Fenghua smiled “I win” she said, before lowering her blade, as Qingyue looked to where her sword had gone, frowning.

“How?”

“How what?” Fenghua asked with a raised eyebrow.

“How did you defeat me so easily? How did that technique completely destroy my defenses?” Qingyue asked, hating that she just lost so easily. Of course, they weren’t using their full power, so she likely would have put up a better fight when using the techniques taught to her by her master, but to lose in a duel so quickly was…new to her.

“The technique was built to bypass defenses, Qingyue. I can tell that you don’t use the sword often, nor do you have any sort of sword techniques, so of course I’d crush you when wielding one” Fenghua said with a small warm smile, understanding that Qingyue was a genius, one that was unused to loss of such a level.

“I..understand” Qingyue said with a small frown, before her eyes hardened and she looked up into Fenghua’s eyes.

“Again, let us fight again” Qingyue said with a determined look on her face as Fenghua chuckled, her sword reforming in her hand, as she stared down Qingyue.

“Well then, let us go again, Princess” Fenghua said, as Qingyue dashed to Fenghua, their blades clashing once again.

[Several Hours later]

After constant sparring, Qingyue was laying on her back, panting after getting her ass beat over and over by Fenghua, who was currently standing, looking down at the girl with a smile.

“So, wanna do this again sometime?” Fenghua asked, the blade in her hand disappearing as she gazed at Qingyue, who was panting from exhaustion.

“Y-yes. I’d like to do this every few days” Qingyue said, catching her breath, breathing in deeply as she wiped the sweat from her brow.

“Sure, I don’t mind. Plus it’s fun to watch the Ice Princess of the Xia Clan struggle so cutely” Fenghua said with a grin, as Qingyue got to her feet, and gave her a small glare of annoyance.

“Big sis, are you done with your training yet? Father’s been wondering where you’ve been!” A voice echoed, as a tall teen walked into the training grounds. This teen was Xia Yuanba, the younger brother of Xia Qingyue, and the possessor of the “Tyrannical Emperor Divine Veins” , a powerful set of Veins that gave him incredible potential, just not as much as his sisters. He was also a massive 6’5, and would only continue to grow taller in the future.

Walking into the training grounds, his eyes shot wide at the sight of his big sister who had several scratches and bruises covering her form from their spars.

“Big sis! Hey, what did you do to her?!” Yuanba yelled at Fenghua, glaring at her as she prepared himself to defend his sister, even if he was far weaker at the moment, due to him not awakening his divine veins yet. These veins made it so he basically couldn’t cultivate beyond a certain point, until they were awakened, making him very weak…for now.

Before Fenghua could respond, Qingyue did “Big sis is alright Yuanba, we just sparred and got a little beat up, that’s all” Qingyue said, calming her brother down before he did something stupid, like attack Fenghua, someone who was stronger than her.

“...Oh, sorry” Yuanba said with a sweatdrop once his sister gave him one of her glares.

“It’s alright, I’d have reacted the same way. Your name's Yuanba, right? Well I’m Li Fenghua, it’s nice to meet you” Fenghua said with a smile, reaching her hand out as Yuanba looked surprised, before smiling and shaking her hand.

“Nice to meet you Fenghua!” Yuanba said with a wide grin, as Qingyue watched the two with a small sigh, as her brother flipped from being protective, to being super friendly.

“You said that father has been looking for me?” Qingyue asked, as Yuanba nodded.

“Yep! You’ve been here for 6 hours now and he’s getting worried” Yuanba said, as Qingyue nodded slowly, understanding that her father was likely waiting for her.

“Ah well, I suppose I should get going then. I’ve been here a lot longer than I was originally planning, and I’ve got some things to do. But, I’ll come back in 4 days for our next session, okay?” Fenghua said to Qingyue.

“I’ll beat you next time” Qingyue said with a determined look, as she watched Fenghua walk to the exit, a smirk forming on Fenghua’s face as she turned back to her.

“Sure you will, princess~” Fenghua teased, before walking out of the training grounds, leaving a frustrated Qingyue and a confused Yuanba. At the same time, Fenghua had different thoughts on her mind, as she glanced to the side with a knowing look, as while she couldn’t sense them, she was certain a fairy had watched them the entire time.

‘...Hopefully Chu Yueli liked the show’

That’s the end of the chapter!

What other universes should I make vault fics on? And should this fic do a timeskip to canon, or do some more chapters before then? If it’s a timeskip to canon, then the next chapter will have a lot more happening, including the death of some scum.

Not sure if another vault chapter will come today, we’ll see.

Anyways, have a good day!
