A month had passed since her training had started. That month was spent almost entirely in training her techniques, and cultivating. Thanks to gaining the Dragon Core, her cultivation ended up falling back into Nascent Profound, but after a bit of cultivation, she had managed to shoot back up, as she had already reached True Profound, making it easier to get back. At the moment she was at 13th Level Nascent Profound in Demonic Energy, and 1st level True Profound. 

Her overall combat prowess was now in the Earth Profound Realm, and only continued to increase with every new technique gained, every new body assimilated, and every new heavenly treasure obtained. 

The main technique she had been practicing in that month, was Star God’s Broken Shadow, a technique from the Realm of the Gods, one that Jasmine had taught her. 

[Movement Technique - Star God’s Broken Shadow: When utilized, the practitioner's speed will instantaneously explode and become so quick that even the afterimages created by the movement will not have enough time to fade away. In fact, the 'afterimages' are just about indistinguishable from the original body, making it seem as if the user has been cloned while moving at breathtaking speeds. If the practitioner can achieve peak mastery of this skill, even if the opponents are over three to five levels higher than the user, they still wouldn’t be able to easily defeat the wielder of the technique. Star God’s Broken Shadows had eight realms in total and it's the only Profound Movement Skill of the Star God's Profound Arts. In essence: If Star God’s Broken Shadow is put to use, your speed will instantaneously explode and become so fast that even your afterimage wouldn’t have enough time to fade . If away you are able to master the primary stage of Star God Broken Shadow, then you wouldn’t lose when facing two opponents of the same rank. If you can achieve the pinnacle of this skill, even if the opponents are over three or five levels higher than you, they still wouldn’t be able to easily defeat you]

It was through this technique that Fenghua had shown just how absolutely monstrous she truly was. As after a month of training, she had managed to reach the 3rd stage of this technique, allowing her to create three afterimages, and move at speeds well beyond her old limit. 

When Jasmine saw her use the technique at stage 3, Fenghua was pretty certain the girl nearly fainted. As growing to that stage that rapidly was…insane, even to her standards. Perhaps if it was a once in a millenia genius in the realm of the Gods, but some “Nobody” in the mortal realm? Absolute insanity. 

In canon it would take Yun Che a month simply to comprehend the first stage, and yet, Fenghua had comprehended the first stage in 3 days, the second in a little over a week, and the third in a little over 2 weeks. The ones after that would take longer and longer to learn, but she hoped to be just as skilled as Jasmine in the art by the time she reaches the realm of the Gods. 

Besides growing her new Star God Broken Shadow technique, she had also been focusing more on growing her demonic energy, whenever Jasmine wasn’t watching, as she hadn’t been using the power very often, which would become a problem if she kept letting it happen. That, and she had been training her swordsmanship thoroughly, hoping to eventually get another sign in that is related to swords. 

At the moment Fenghua was walking into the city known as “New Moon City” she was there to get some supplies, and maybe even rob the local Xiao Sect branch that was in the city, as it had a shit ton of Purple Profound coins (Which is worth even more than a Cyan Profound coin). That, and she was interested in meeting the Princess of the Blue Wind Empire, Cang Yue, who was currently using the fake name Lan Xueruo. 

She was also trying to find a good place to sign in at, as she wanted something at least somewhat decent. It was after walking for a while longer, that she stopped as she noticed a rather interesting statue of some sort of Buddha-like character. 

Sitting at the bench of the Buddha character, she decided to sign in.

[Cultivation Technique - Great Pagoda Art: This Art could enable the cultivators to amplify their Spiritual Energy by several fold. The amplification would increase as one gets more skilled in it. The Great Pagoda Art creates a Pagoda within a user that when called upon can protect the user from physical attacks, as well as be used to strike opponents. As one cultivation progresses, one is capable of unlocking more of the nine levels available. Upon unlocking a level, a mighty dragon swims around the pagoda. The technique is split into two parts, the Yang part as the main part while the Yin part as the auxiliary/support. The Yang part is fierce and overbearing, while the Yin part is extremely gentle and reserved. Once the user reaches a certain level in this technique, they will learn another that is imbedded within this one, albeit, an attack, not a cultivation technique]

[Heavenly Treasure - Flawless Purifying Lotus: Another Heaven-defying treasure, the Flawless Purifying Lotus purifies, preserves, and strengthens the flesh body instead of the Divine Soul. While it doesn't make the flesh body invincible, much like the Soul Warming Lotus has no such effect on the Divine Soul, the Flawless Purifying Lotus can heal and purify the flesh body as long as it is not completely destroyed, giving one a Divine Flawless Body]

Gazing at the two rewards, Fenghua could only inwardly laugh as she assimilated them. The knowledge flowing into her brain regarding the Great Pagoda Art, which would be a great technique for defense and offense, and would likely work well with the Buddha art she’d eventually learn thanks to Jasmine. 

The Flawless Purifying Lotus was another incredible boon, as once she began to assimilate into her form, her body beginning to grow stronger thanks to its natural ability to strengthen the body, and not just by a small amount, but by quite a lot. Combine this with her other techniques that she would be getting that involved growing the body, and it was an incredible boon. 

This time she had not broken through into a higher realm, instead sticking with what she was at, with the only difference being that her combat prowess had increased, thanks to her body growing stronger. She was now comparable to a 3rd Level Earth Profound cultivator in terms of combat prowess, an incredible jump in power, but nothing in the grand scheme of things. She also suspected this would slow drastically fairly soon. 

Getting to her feet as she ignored the warmth of the new body she had, that basically made her “Flawless” in appearance and body. Being able to absorb all sorts of energies without adverse side effects, eliminating all impurities within her, and making her bones more crystal like. She had become even more beautiful/”Handsome” during the assimilation process, to the point that she rivaled even Xia Qingyue appearance wise, which was saying a lot. 

Walking through the streets once more, she soon found herself in front of a large Chinese gate, with the words “New Moon Profound Palace” at the top in the form of a large sign. 

‘Should I enter? I mean, I’d like to meet Cang Yue, but at the same time…I don’t want to keep following the path of Scum Che. I’ve already done enough for the man, but I also don’t like the idea of this group being completely mocked by the other sects of the city, as from what I remember, the sect is full of good people, besides the few outliers’ Fenghua thought, before stopping as she heard a voice. 

“Big Sis Fenghua?!” A voice echoed, as Fenghua, only to side step as Yuanba, Xia Qingyue’s brother barrelled towards her, his massive form nearly catching her in a bone crushing hug. 

“Yuanba? What’re you doing here?” Fenghua asked, ignoring the pout on the teens face at not getting to hug “Big Sis Fenghua”. 

“I’ve been here for a couple of months and even got into class A of New Moon Profound Palace. Only students with high potential get in that class” Yuanba said with a grin, bragging about his accomplishment. 

“Ah, so you got in through some connections?” Fenghua asked, as Yuanba sighed. 

“Yeah, you found out. Anyways, what are you doing here?” Yuanba asked, not knowing that Fenghua was in the city, or why she was. 

“I was looking into joining the Palace, as there is someone inside I’m interested in meeting. But I wasn’t sure how to go about doing it” Fenghua replied, as Jasmine spoke to her through the Pearl. 

“Is this your friend? How old is he?” 

‘He’s a friend, yeah, and he’s 15, why?’ Fenghua replied inwardly. 

“15 years old? He has the Tyrannical Emperor’s Divine Veins! This means his meridians are special, they are much wider than normal and their structure is different as well. He’ll need to work 10 times harder than others to break through each level. From where I come from, people with these meridians will rule the land and be conferred Lords or Kings. But to be born in a land like this one, with such little resources, I’m afraid he’ll be able to get to the first level of Nascent Profound at most” Jasmine explained inwardly, as Fenghua sighed. 

‘I’ll have to help him with that at some point. But…for now, let’s go and meet the Elder of this Palace’ Fenghua thought, as she walked off, ready to potentially join New Moon Profound Palace. 

And…ready to meet the one who would become her first love…her first wife.

That’s the end of the chapter!

Not sure if she will fully join the Palace, but might become an honorary member of sorts, as she will begin to go on her own adventures and not following Scum Che’s route, doing things that he did far later on, earlier than he did. Like gaining the Phoenix Legacy earlier, and perhaps even gaining more from it than normal. 

She’ll be meeting her first proper lover soon, with Xia Qingyue coming in the future. 

Another Vault chapter MIGHT be coming tonight. If not tonight, then likely tomorrow.
