Death had always been an eerily familiar concept to me. Losing my mother, father, and older sister in a car accident when I was three. My aunt who had taken me in dying from stage 4 cancer, barely able to take care of herself, much less a 5 year old child. Living with her for two years, I was soon sent off to my grandparents.

They were the ones that had raised me for the next 12 years of my life, and they were the ones that I loved more than anything, well…almost anything. 

My grandfather was a strict man, but a loving man. He had fought during the vietnam war and was a decorated war hero, one that had a background in martial arts…a very rich background in martial arts. So, when I had turned 6, he introduced me to my first martial art…

Kung Fu

And boy did I love it, and not only did I love it, I was talented at it. So much so that I had fought and won in an international competition for kids my age by the time I trained for a full year. Year after year I grew and grew, my love for it grew too. 

By the time I was ten, I was widely considered the best Kung Fu master of my age, the best in the entire word in my art. And with that, came a lack of challenge. Sure, I continued to train in Kung Fu, but it had grown…dull. 

So, I moved to another martial art…Taekwondo. 

And just as my love for Kung Fu grew, Taekwondo did too. An art that I trained solely in dojo’s around the city, my grandfather happy to pay for the training of his only granddaughter, training that taught me a lot. I had been just as talented in Taekwondo as I was in Kung Fu. 

And thanks to my previous skills and training, I was world champion by the time 2 years passed, and I was 12. And I hadn’t only focused on Taekwondo, I was training in MMA, Boxing, and Muay Thai all at the same time. With a strict schedule that kept my happy and healthy, while also letting me do what I loved more than anything, training in martial arts, and competing. 

By the time I was fifteen I was considered one of the greatest up and coming martial artists in the entire world, a “Once in a Century” genius that dominated her competition. 

And then, when I had turned 16, became the world champion in Silat…I had died. 

My grandparents had left me when I had turned 15, shattering my world, and my heart. So…I worked, I worked and I worked. So hard that I had died from overworking myself, from training so much that my body simply…collapsed.

And then…something happened. 

A warmth, and a pulling sensation. And…I was reborn. A woman with recognizable bright eyes stared down at me, a man with a bright smile on his face at her side. And at my side, was another baby. She was just as silent as I was, at least, I think it’s her. And above us, staring down were two faces.

The faces of Amanda and Daniel LaRusso.

Cobra Kai and Karate Kid were my favorite in my past life. I adored them more than anything, with my grandfather introducing the movie to me when I was young, and it was that movie that started my love for all things martial arts. 

…I never learned Karate, now that I think about it. Probably because it wouldn’t do crap against a kung fu master, and was more about the competition and fun of it than actually defending yourself. 

But either way, I was seemingly in the world of Karate Kid now, which was…absolutely awesome! If I had a working voice, I’d be squealing like a girl right now…well I am a girl, but still. 

But anyways, I guess Karate will be the next art I learn. Afterall, I’ve been reborn in “Karate Kid” there’s no way I won’t learn it! Especially Miyago-do, the Way of the Fist, ooh, and I’d love to train with the Iron Dragons - besides the fact that Zara is hot - as the sensei’s disciplinary methods are…not really anything in comparison to some of the ones I dealt with after my grandparents passed. 

I doubt any of them would compare to the other martial arts I’ve learned, which I will obviously be learning even in this life, but who wouldn’t want to learn Karate Kid styles? I sure as hell do!

But for now…for now I’m gonna sleep, stupid baby body.

[3rd POV]

While the unknown girl was sleeping, Daniel looked over his daughters. 

“Samantha and Alessia LaRusso” Daniel said with a smile, as his wife, Amanda, sighed. 

“Alessia honey? Are you sure? It’s a bit…different” Amanda asked, as she looked at her husband with a raised eyebrow. 

“Yeah! Alessia was the name of my grandmother. I think it’s a great name, why, do you not like it?” Daniel asked his wife, as he looked at her. 

“No it’s a good name, it’s just a bit different that’s all. Alessia LaRusso and Samantha LaRusso…It does have a nice catch to it, doesn’t it?” Amanda said out loud, a smile forming on her face as she stared upon the twins. Little Alessia being the older sister by a few minutes, with Samantha being the younger. 

“Good! Now why don’t you get some rest? You’ve gotta be exhausted” Daniel asked, as Amanda glared at him. 

“Don’t even try it mister, I’m holding my daughters for skin time” Amanda said, as Daniel held his hands up and leaned back, watching the love of his life hold his daughters, a proud smile on his face as he did so. 

‘I can’t wait until Mr Miyagi meets them’ Daniel thought, excited for his father figure to meet his children. 

The man wouldn’t pass until the year 2011. It was currently 2001, as the first “Season” of Cobra Kai began in the year 2017. Meaning Alessia and Sam would be around 10 years old when the man would pass. Something that Alessia knew, and was hoping to meet and maybe even train under the man before he did. As he was amongst the best Miyagi-do masters alive, with only Sato Toguchi being on par with him. 

Alessia already planned on learning all sorts of karate from all sorts of people. Like Sato, Mr Miyagi, Sensei Wolf, Kreese, Silvers, Kim Da-Eun, pretty much everywhere she could. She would just have to find a way of getting her new father and mother to agree. If not…she wasn’t against running away. But she would have to plan for that just in case. She was sure she could find a way of getting around the need for them to bring her everywhere. Well at least she hoped so. 

There was still a lot of time before then though, giving her more than enough time to get used to her new body, train it up - when an appropriate age - begin to learn new martial arts, and find a way of getting enough money to be able to go places without needing her parents consent. 

With Alessia’s incredible talent and already immense skills in martial arts, she was confident in learning and mastering Karate by the time she eventually returned back to the Valley, whenever that would be, mattering entirely on when she left in the first place. 

But for now…for now she would sleep, and worry about the future at another time.

Basically an introduction chapter!

Love interest is Zara Malik from season 6. As in this fic she will train under Sensei Wolf, before he gets the whole debt thing, in which he will be a lot less…abusive. Zara will also be a bit different than in canon, but will still have parts of the charm she had there. 

A lot of her background will be OC as she isn’t covered much. 

This is my first MC that has no powers, no cheats, nothing, simply her own prodigal talent and skills and that’s all.

I’ll eventually make ones with Tory as the love interest, and one with Sam as the love interest. 

You might see Zara’s actor used in a future vault fic (As I’ve got some ideas regarding her. Besides the fact that she is actually a martial arts champion in real life, with 13 titles. So…she’s legit).
