Chapter 173: Reaction to the Phoenix

Turns out that Xavier and Gwen were not the only one that had sensed the awakening of the Phoenix, not even close. Reactions around the universe had been…less than pleased, to say the least. 

Within the Shi’ar Empire, a great and wide reaching empire of immense power, panic was setting in at the higher echelons of the Empire, most notably, the Majestor (Ruler) himself, D’ken Neramani. The Shi’ar Empire was an autocratic imperial government, with its ruler the Majestor (Male) or Majestrix (Female) being advised by the high council, which is made up of selected worlds from the million that make up the incredibly large Empire. 

The Majestor was the most powerful person in the Empire, and basically the Emperor. He wasn’t individually powerful or anything, it was all about political power when it came to D’ken. 

At the moment he and the council were in a heated discussion regarding the new…reveal of the Phoenix, the cry that sounded throughout the universe, and potentially even beyond. 

“We must kill its host, before it does to us what it did to our ancestors! Do you all not remember the Dark one?! He killed millions with its power! Such power CANNOT be reborn again!” An aged man yelled, as another scowled. 

“M’kor, we don’t know of it’s location, much less its host. What shall you have us do? Search the entire universe in hopes of finding it!? That is without even including the fact that it’s host may have control over it’s power! No, it is too high of a risk!” 

“And allowing it to remain living is?! I say we send the Imperial Guard and wipe it out before it poses a true threat! I am certain Kallark can make quick of the new host” The man said, as he leaned back. Kallark was a powerful man, and the leader of the Imperial Guard, he was better known under a different name though, the name…Gladiator. 

“What foolishness! How can-” “SILENCE!” The deep booming voice of Majestor D’ken sounded out throughout the room, as she slammed his fist against the table in front of him, an angry scowl on his face. 

“I alone make the decision of what to do with the new Phoenix host! And my decision is that we find the creature and kill it before it becomes a threat to this glorious Empire! Kallark and the Imperial Guard shall lead this hunt, and that is FINAL!” D’ken yelled, as the council went silent his sister, Lilandra, silently listened, a frown on her face.

In another part of the universe, a massive entity of incredible power glanced to the side, as his giant face formed into a frown. 

“It would seem the Phoenix has awoken…” He spoke, his deep voice traveling throughout what seems to be a massive advanced ship. 

Another figure floated within the ship, staring up at the being. He was larger than planets, and was…impossible to truly gaze upon, but that mattered little to being that seemed so small in comparison. 

“What shall you have me do, master?”

“The awakening of the Phoenix is of little note to me. Find the next planet”

“As you wish…Devourer of Worlds”

Within a large beautiful city, glimmering with gold and power, a man sat upon his large throne, an aged man with long white hair, but exuded incredible power and might. He had only one singular eye, the other destroyed and the socket in which it would be, covered with an eyepatch. 

For this man was Odin Borson, the Allfather, and King of Asgard. 

And he was…not in the best of moods, as he felt the power of the phoenix on Midgard, aka Earth. 

“It would seem it has chosen its new host…again” Odin muttered, his trusted ally, Heimdall at his side.

“It would seem so, my king. On Midgard no less” Heimdall said, as he gazed off. 

“And you say you cannot see into Midgard any longer?” Odin asked, as he remembered the words of Heimdall. As after a certain…someone appeared, he could no longer gaze onto Earth, as if it was being blocked by something or someone, and whoever or whatever it was, it was powerful, very very powerful. 

“That is correct my king. No matter how much I try, I fail to see onto Midgard any longer. It is as if something or someone is blocking my sight” Heimdall replied with a nod of confirmation. 

“...Perhaps I shall have Thor find this cause for…interference. Such a being or object shall not be allowed upon Midgard, not while we are it’s protectors” Odin said, a decision on his mind. 

“And what of the Phoenix host?”

“We shall leave it be for the moment. It…is not an entity we can afford to offend, I should know” Odin replied, remembering his old friend from 1,000,000 BC, Firehair, the first human phoenix force host, and a member of the “Stone Age Avengers” which was made up of him, Firehair, and several others of immense power and/or skill. 

“As you wish my King, I will get a message to Thor the moment I can” Heimdall said, as Odin sat upon his throne, thoughts swirling in his head, as he contemplated the future of not only Asgard, but Midgard as well.

Similar reactions were happening around the universe, from every major player in the universe that knew of the existence of the Phoenix Force, and could feel it’s awakening. These same players were starting to move, either to find and hunt the Phoenix Force host, or to prepare in the case of its appearance near their locations. 

Panic was settling in amongst those that had interacted with the Phoenix in the past, as they all had ideas on how to stop it’s threat, but none were ballsy enough to do so at the moment, for it was time to prepare. 

At the same time, Gwen was in Malzif, showing Jean and the girls around, amusement on her face not only from the girls reactions to the city, but also from the reactions of the Shi’ar, who she could clearly see thanks to her sight. And while she didn’t dare gaze upon the Eater of Worlds, nor even look at Asgard, she did see many other reactions, and they were almost all hilarious. 

‘So they’re sending Gladiator huh…not a bad choice really. Too bad he won’t be able to do jack squat once he gets here. Guess it’ll give me an excuse to rob the Shi’ar and take the M’kraan Crystal and put it somewhere that they or anyone else won't be able to utilize it. Maybe under the city in some sort of protected room? I’m sure I can find somewhere to put it, as long as it’s within this universe it should be fine’ Gwen thought, knowing that taking it into the Tower of Fate was…not a good idea, as it was the Nexus of all realities for a reason, and it needed to stay within this universe for it to not cause any side effects to other universes. 

Should the crystal ever get destroyed, it wouldn’t just end a single universe, but the entire multiverse, wiping out life for good. It was also a location closely related to the Phoenix, and needed to be protected from someone like D’ken, who wanted to use it for his own villainous needs. 

‘Project Domination and Project Rebirth will need to be worked on faster than before. As will the Eye of Harmony. I’ve already got around 75% of the materials needed, but I still don’t have a star to utilize for this, nor do I even have the power to just grab one, not a star the size that I need at least. So, it looks like I’ll either have to make something or get the aid of an entity strong enough to gather a star for me’ Gwen thought with a sigh, having a few ideas, but most of them were…dangerous, so she’d have to wait for a bit longer until she was stronger. 

Seeing the girls looking around, Gwen just smiled as she decided that it wasn’t time to worry herself over all this, and instead, she would focus on something else. 

‘For now though…let’s just continue the tour’

Sorry for the late upload, but I feel like crap right now so it was a bit of a struggle. 

I plan on creating 2 new tiers, one within the week, and the other within the next 2 weeks. 

They will be a 5$ tier and a 10$ Tier. 

The 5 dollar one will give those in it 2 more chapters than the 3 dollar tier (Total of 3 chapters, 12 in total for my 4 main fics). And might include some other stuff, but I've gotta figure out what to include.

The 10 dollar one will give those in it 7 more chapters than the 5 dollar one (Total of 10 additional chapters, 40 chapters total spread across my 4 main fics!, as well as some other bonuses).

My current 3 dollar tier will of course remain how it is, and will NOT change, so don’t worry about that. 

You can expect the 5 dollar tier to show up within the week, with the 10 dollar one coming within a week or two, maybe longer, as I have to save up chapters in order to do it. 

I am making these because it has been more than a year since I began on patreon, and I think it’s time to add more variety and options to those that wish to see more/have more, or just wish to support me and my fics more.

The vault chapters that have been promised ARE coming, but will likely be coming tomorrow as It is pretty late where I live right now.
