Chapter 154 [Vault]

[3rd POV]

Turns out the Amazons did not hide their treasure very well…not at all. It was within a large building coated in all sorts of defenses, defenses that…did not do much against Velzards power as she simply walked into the building, a small smirk forming on her face as she found herself staring at a literal mountain of gold piled high, as well as all sorts of metals, weapons, and artifacts of note.  

Thanks to having the power of Milim, she also had her extra skill, Spatial Storage, that allowed her to store the entire mountain of treasures within a massive personal sub space that only she had access to. It was this subspace that would be holding all of her future treasures and artifacts that she may find on her various adventures. 

Shoving all of the treasures (besides a tiny bit that she left because she was a nice true dragon) Velzard walked out of the treasury with a smile on her face, as she walked through the streets of Themyscira, ignoring the frozen Amazons around her, all of them wide eyed in shock just before being frozen by her incredible might. 

“You’d think an island like this would have more…activities besides battle, worshipping the Gods, and hating all men” Velzard muttered, disappointed with the island the more she looked over it. Sure it was beautiful, but all that beauty hid its malicious and cruel inhabitants, at least, besides the children who didn’t know any better. 

“I suppose it’s time to leave this…place. I do hope we’re in modern times, having to adapt to an older period will be…a chore” Velzard said out loud, as she took off into the skies above, flying off as she left the island of Themyscira, hopefully for good. And as she left, the inhabitants slowly began to defrost, confused and furious, a fury that would grow once they realized that they had been completely and utterly robbed of all their riches, besides a small pile of gold that had been shaped into a middle finger.

Flying through the skies above the oceans of Earth, Velzard spread her senses, finding that the closest landmass was some ways away, and looked to be the United States of America. And if the fishing vessels she had run across so far was any indicator, it did indeed look like she was in the modern era, thank god. 

She noticed that the world as a whole was already being affected by all the pollution that they were producing, and it wasn’t doing any good for the world as a whole. 

‘Huh, looks like humans even in this universe are going to end themselves through pollution and foolish greed. How…unsurprising’ Velzard thought, not all that surprised with the foolish decisions of the human race as a whole. They were…not exactly the smartest when it came to things like keeping the planet healthy, even if they lived on the damn thing.

Flying through the skies for a while longer, Velzard after a few more minutes, eventually reached land, a small pleased smile on her face as she continued to fly above the skies of the U.S. Her target location was Washington D.C. Why? Because it was interesting of course! That and she wanted to see the reaction that Wonder Woman would have once she learned of what happened back in Themyscira. 

‘I’m certain her mother will spin all sorts of lies and trickery to paint me as the sole aggressor. The annoying woman will love to put the Justice League against me, even if I was simply…defending myself’ Velzard thought, as she spread her senses, her perception expanding as she searched for her target location, and eventually found it. With her current rate of movement, she’d be there within the next couple of minutes.

She could of course move faster or even teleport, but that was so…boring. That, and she quite enjoyed the atmosphere at the moment, so she wasn’t about to ruin it just to get to a location faster than she already was. 

‘I suppose that I’ll need to make a false identity if I don’t want to deal with the annoyances of the government, even if they can do little to me, it’ll become a bore if they continue to bug me. Getting a home of my own will be easy with the wealth I stole from the Amazon’s. And once that is done with, I can simply live in comfort, perhaps learn some new things native to this universe, and mess with the heroes every once in a while, but that’ll be about it’ Velzard thought as she continued to fly through the skies of the United States, growing closer and closer to Washington D.C, where she decided she would be making her home. 

‘The only beings I even need to consider a problem that are a part of the League are Doctor Fate, Constantine, Shazam, and perhaps one or two others. Superman is no threat to me, for he can’t even touch me thanks to his…less than good resistance to magic. I suppose the Flash could also be a threat if he moves fast enough, but I doubt he’d be able to do so with my senses’ Velzard thought, knowing that Doctor Fate was a genuine problem for her, as he was (at his peak) far stronger than the current her, meaning, she’d need to grow stronger if she wanted to have any sort of hopes of surviving in this world. 

After more flying, Velzard eventually found herself above Washington DC, a smirk on her face as she lowered herself to the ground, and warped her appearance using universal shapeshift, taking the form of an unassuming woman. She did this in order to sell some of the gold she had acquired from Themyscira, and to get a false identity, which she should be able to do through the right…channels. 

‘Let’s go find some…friends to get me a proper identity!’

Turns out finding people to make you a false identity was…not difficult, shockingly enough. And through some money (a LOT of money, but money well spent) Velzard had a proper identity for herself, a very very well made one, as the guy she spent her money on, took only a few days and made a false identity that would take a lot of investigation to see through. And after looking through his mind a bit, she found that he in fact, worked with some…less than good criminal organizations, primarily the Light, a group made up of several villains of high power. 

It was through this that Velzard realized that she was in a world that was a mixture of the comics and Young Justice, a perfect universe to live in, as it would be nice and peaceful until Young Justice started, at least, it should be. But considering the comics are a heavy influence, who knows how that would go. 

She wasn’t interested in interacting with the League, besides messing with them. As she was NOT a hero, nor did she or ever will she see herself as one. She was a True Dragon, and she cared little for the lives of a bunch of humans she didn’t know or give a damn about. She simply wanted to live in enjoyment and peace, and that was all. 

She doubted that would happen, with the way DC comics was, but she’d certainly try her best to keep it that way, well, mostly. After all, it would be way too much fun to mess with Wonder Woman~

And that wasn’t because her draconic instincts found the woman to be a worthy mate. 

Walking through the streets of D.C, Velzard had a smile on her face, and a fat wad of cash in her pocket after selling some of the gold to some gold dealer, getting quite a bit of money from the man, more than enough to buy some supplies for the future. 

But for now, Velzard was watching something else go down in front of her as she walked the corner, only now noticing that people were screaming and running passed her, but she had amusement on her face, as she watched a tall beautiful woman battle it out with an orange skinned feline-like woman. Aka Wonder Woman and Cheetah. 

Watching the fight, Velzard had only one thought on her mind. 

‘Now isn’t this…interesting’
