Chapter 187 [Vault]

Title - HOTD: Leandra the Blessed | Chapter 8 | Futanari MC

__________________________________________________

[3rd POV] [115 AC | A Fortnight Since the Rains of Castamere] [Kings Landing]

The small council was in session, and with it, chaos came.

It had been a fortnight (2 weeks) since the Rains of Castamere, and the news that Leandra Lannister had not only returned to Westeros, but slaughtered the Reyne family with no remorse. Every last one of them lay dead and drowned, and their mines were slowly being drained of the river water that filled it, using Essosi contraptions she had brought with her.

Since the news had spread, and King Viserys Targaryen had received word, alongside his council, they had been having frequent debates on what the hell to do.

”Your grace, I am sorry, but this simply cannot stand! She has killed an entire House! One that has been loyal to a fault, and has always paid their taxes!” An aged man said. This aged man was the Lord Hand, Otto Hightower. He was a scheming old man who frequently took advantage of others, and manipulated them.

He was also the father of Viserys Targaryen's young wife, Alicent Hightower. Making him the grandfather of Prince Aegon Targaryen.

”She did what she had to. Her family was slaughtered by the orders of the Reyne family! What was she to do, let them get away with such a callous act?” Another man said. This man was another trusted member of the Council, Lyonel Strong, Master of Laws.

“Silence! I will not have more arguing in this fucking council! Today we decide what to do! Whether we punish Leandra Lannister for her actions, or another!” Viserys Targaryen, the King of Westeros roared, slamming his fist against the wooden table.

At the same time, a young girl served drinks to each of the council members. This girl was a short, beautiful young woman, the Princess of the Kingdoms, the Heiress to the Iron Throne, Rhaenyra Targaryen.

[Young Rhaenyra]

Listening to the arguing of the Small Council, Rhaenyra rolled her eyes. This had been a common occurrence since this “Leandra Lannister” had killed the Reyne’s, and as amusing as it was to see her father grow red faced in anger at the council, she was getting sick and tired of hearing it every single day.

“Your grace, she must be punished for this! She cannot simply commit such an act with no proof!” Otto cut in, wishing to continue, only for Rhaenyra to interrupt.

“Why not invite her to King's Landing?”

At her words, the council all turned to her, with Viserys stopping.

“What?” Viserys asked, as she looked over them and steeled herself.

“Invite her to Kings Landing. You say that she has no proof, but you haven’t even bothered to ask her if she did. You cannot judge someone without meeting them, especially not the last living Lannister” Rhaenyra replied, as the council all went silent, and it was then that she knew her words hit each of them.

After moments of thinking it over, Viserys nodded to himself, before looking up and speaking.

“Summon Leandra. We will hear her, we will see her proof, and then, only then will we decide what to do with her” Viserys ordered, and as much as Otto Hightower wished to intrude, wished to tell him otherwise, he knew this was a battle he would not win.

And so, the letter was sent later that day, and with it, Leandra Lannister would come to King's Landing, and with her, a great change.

[Casterly Rock | A little over a fortnight since the Rains of Castamere]

Leandra was sitting within her new cellar, silent as can be, as she read through the royal summons sent by Viserys Targaryen.

“…Is this a good thing, my lord?” Maester Gullin asked, as Leandra hummed.

“…Yes. It is better than I was expecting at least. I had expected him to send a dragon rider to summon me, but this is better. It means I’ve likely got a good chance of being listened to by the man” Leandra said, as she sipped on her freshly brewed tea.

”I suppose that is quite a bit better, isn’t it?” Gullin muttered, as Leandra sighed.

“Have the men prepare a convoy. It’s time for me to go to King's Landing and meet with the King and his council” Leandra ordered, as the man smiled, knowing that she really didn’t want to go to the cesspool that was King's Landing, but she simply had to.

Kings Landing was completely full of rats and snakes, all of them being more than happy to end her life at a snap of a finger, not that they would be able to. It was also likely going to have more spies and assassins within than any other city on the entire planet, and that was saying a lot, because Braavos had quite a lot when she initially took over.

“Ah, and make sure it has the proper accomodies for Tymond and Lelia. I wish to bring them with me” Leandra added, as the man nodded, before walking off in order to give the necessary orders.

With Leandra alone in the room, her lions curling around her sleeping, she let out a sigh.

‘Seems I’ll soon be walking into the nest of the dragons. Let us just hope that the Tower won’t become too much of a problem while there’ Leandra thought as she leaned back in her chair, contemplating her future, and most of all, the future of the Westerlands.

And so, nearly a moon later, Leandra was sat in her carriage, her trusted companions sleeping at her feet once more, as they finally had reached the outskirts of Kings Landing after quite some time traveling.

With her was a small force of household guards 100 strong, all traveling alongside her, as she connected with her men as a proper Lord would.

During those 100 days, they had run into little problems, except for an attack by arrogant and ignorant bandits, said bandits dying within minutes of their initial attack as Leandra had ripped them apart, and her lions quite literally so.

As the wheelhouse traveled through the streets of Kings Landing, Leandra noticed the people outside, whispering as they saw the banner of House Lannister, as they approached the Red Keep, in which the King and his family lived, as well as the Small Council. It was within this keep that the great Iron Throne was sat.

She had yet to see a dragon while traveling, but she hoped to see one soon, mostly to soothe her own childish interest in seeing one in person.

But finally, after all this time of traveling, her wheelhouse grew to a stop, as they had reached the Red Keep. A man was waiting for them there in order to greet her, and direct her to the Great Hall where the King was waiting for her to arrive.

Climbing out of the wheelhouse, Leandra gazed at the short man, who flinched slightly under her look, for she was quite intimidating once he gazed at her. With her clothes that clung to her toned figure, the blade that rested at her hip, and the cold glint in her eyes.

“La-Lord Leandra, it is an honor to meet you! The King would like to meet you in the Great Hall, if you would come with me” The man said, only to pale as Lelia and Tymond prowled out behind her, glaring at him with their cat eyes.

“Don’t worry about them, they won’t hurt anyone unless I tell them to. As for taking me to the great hall, there is no need, I know my way around” Leandra said, walking past the man with little care, as her lions looked him over before letting out huffs, following after their owner.

The man attempted to stop her, but she just ignored his shouts as she walked through the doors into the Red Keep, no guards in sight.

Seeing that his words wouldn’t stop her, the man ran off to inform the guards in the Great Hall of the…guests she was bringing alongside her.

Walking through the halls of the Red Keep, Leandra noticed the lack of people, which meant that they were likely all in the Great Hall waiting for her to show up.

‘Seems I’ll have quite the audience when I enter. Whether or not that is a good thing will be seen very very soon’ Leandra thought with a small hum, wondering if she should be happy about this or not.

The Red Keep was large, and lavish. With all sorts of old and expensive designs, gold inscribed objects all over the place, symbols of the Targaryen family at every corner, and even more depictions of dragons.

It was…over the top to say the least, but it did have its own beauty to it. But finally, she found herself walking towards the Great Hall, where the King and his subjects awaited.

Breathing in deeply, Leandra steeled herself for what was to come next, as she turned a corner, and began to walk towards the Great Hall, as inside, an announcement was made.

”Where the hells is she?” The voice of King Viserys cut in, as his subjects all looked and whispered to one another, gossiping on what the Lannister could possibly be doing at this point.

“I do not know, your grace. But this is certainly some sort of sli-“ Otto Hightower could not continue, as the doors to the Great Hall swung open, and the guardsmen began to speak loudly, addressing the room.

“Leandra Lannister, Lord of Casterly Rock, The Blessed, and the Last Lion!” The guard announced loudly, as slowly, they watched as a tall woman walked around the corner, slow steps were made as she held her head up high, no emotion on her face.

Gasps were soon heard as blades were unsheathed, as Leandra rounded the corner and began to enter the Great Hall, her great lions stalked beside her, eyes narrowed as they looked over the lords and ladies within the hall, teeth threatening to show at any slight movement.

Leandra cared not for their gasps and horror, as she stared directly at the Iron Throne, and into the eyes of Viserys Targaryen. Her gaze slowly sweeping to the sides, finding Otto Hightower standing there, alongside the other Small Council members, and even Alicent Hightower, who seemed to be very pregnant at the moment.

It was the last one she looked at that made her nearly stop, as she gazed at the most beautiful woman she had seen in this life so far, Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen.

‘…Realms delight indeed’ Leandra thought, glancing at her, as she felt Rhaenyra's inquisitive gaze travel over her.

Slowing her steps to a halt, she stood only a small distance away from the platform that the Iron Throne sat upon, and lowered her head in a small bow.

“Your grace” Leandra spoke, causing shivers to travel through Rhaenyra as she heard her powerful voice echo, cold, and so very strong.

Viserys gazed at Leandra for a few moments, before speaking.

“…Leandra Lannister. You have been called here today due to your actions against House Reyne, due to your slaughter of every last member of their family. My small council sees it fit to punish you for this…indiscretion, but I am of a different opinion. This…evidence you have, let us see it. And should it be true, should it be real…then mayhaps you will be spared of punishment” Viserys spoke, as she stared at him for a few moments, before reaching into her pocket, the Kingsguard tensing as she brought out the letter.

“This is a letter sent from the Lord of House Reyne to one of the bandits that committed the atrocity against my family. Any maester that has looked over one of his letters will know his manner of writing” Leandra stated, as she handed the letter to one of the Kingsguard, who then handed it to Otto Hightower.

Reading it over, the man's face broke out into a frown, before he then handed it to the current Grand Maester, Mellos.

“…It would seem that Lad-Lord Leandra is correct, Your grace, this is undoubtedly the writing of Lord Reyne” Mellos spoke, as the King looked the letter over, a sigh escaping his lips.

“…So it would seem that house Reyne was responsible. I…am sorry for what has happened to your family, Leandra. But I cannot simply stand by and allow you to get away with such a callous act. So, I believe it fit to have you punished” Viserys began, only for Leandra to speak.

“If we are to punish me, I believe it only fit for me to argue my case” Leandra said, as the man stopped, staring at her.

“…Let us hear your case” Viserys said, as Leandra nodded, and began.

“I ask you, your grace. What was I supposed to do? Allow them to get away with the slaughter of my entire family, besides myself? Allow them to take advantage of the deaths of my family to take over as the liege lord of the Westerlands? Which is mine by right? I did what was necessary, I killed the family that killed my family, they created a debt between our family, and a Lannister always pays their debts” Leandra began, only to continue.

“Let me ask you this, your grace. If instead of my family, it had been your own, what would you have done?” Leandra finished, as the man went silent, Otto frowning deeply.

“Lady Leandra-“ “It is Lord Leandra, Lord Hand, it is best you remember that” Leandra cut him off, as the man stopped.

“Lord Leandra, you have killed an entire family, without the King's permission. Surely you do not really think you can get away with such a thing?”

Leandra stared at the man coldly “And they killed my entire family, not only that, but they had lied to the crown, and hid the fact that they were not paying what they owed in taxes. As your grace will see under the letter. They had plotted to take the spot as Warden of the West from my family, and killed them all to do it. Surely I was not supposed to simply let them get away with this”

Otto was about to cut in, to argue once again, only for Viserys to stop him.

“No…no you’re correct, Lord Leandra. They had overstepped themselves, they had committed a great crime against the realms…and they paid for it. Even if I had chosen a different way, it would have likely led to a similar outcome” Viserys said with a sigh, leaning back in the Throne that weighed on him so very much.

“Now we must decide who to take the place as Warden of the West” Viserys said, deciding that the old matter was done with, that Leandra was not going to be punished for what she had done, for he would have done the same, any Lord would have.

“But your grace-“ “No! It is done! Leandra Lannister will not be punished, and that is final!” Viserys roared, cutting off Otto as he stopped himself from retorting, biting his lip with a look of anger flashing across his face, before he schooled himself.

Glancing between the two, Leandra decided to speak once again “I believe it is only right that I do, your grace”

“You? But you are a girl” Viserys replied with furrowed eyebrows.

“And I am the only living Lannister, your grace. My bannermen follow me willingly, faithfully. I know the Westerlands and its people more than any other, even after being gone for 12 years. And may I remind you that I am no normal girl, your grace. I can sire children should I marry, just as any Lord can” Leandra replied, as he went silent, with Leandra deciding to speak once more, which was the final thing she needed.

“And your heir is a girl, your grace. I do not see how my becoming the Warden of the West is any different then the Heir to the Iron Throne being a girl” Leandra said, and it was then that she saw the look on the man's face, and she knew that she had him.

Looking over to Mellos, Viserys gave him a singular nod, as the Grand Maester nodded, and turned to her, and began to speak loudly, so that everyone could hear.

“Leandra, of House Lannister, Lord of Casterly Rock, Warden of the West, and Shield of Lannisport” Mellos spoke, as she breathed in and kneeled, understanding what this was. She was the Warden now, and as the Warden, she had to swear fealty, and as much as she despised the idea, she had to do it nonetheless, for her family, and for her people.

“I, Leandra Lannister, Lord of Casterly Rock, Warden of the West, and Shield of Lannisport, Promise to be faithful to King Viserys and his named Heir, the Princess Rhaenyra. I pledge fealty to them and the realm, and shall defend them against all enemies, in good faith, and without deceit. I swear this, on the Old Gods, and the New”

As her oath was spoken, as she swore in front of the Lords and Ladies of the realm, the King slowly broke out into a smile, as he let out a laugh “Good, now get up, it is time to celebrate the choosing of the next Warden of the West!” Viserys said loudly, as everyone in the room began to clap, some by force, some out of genuine respect, and some with more interest than others.

Rising to her feet, Leandra let out a low breath, as she allowed a small smile to form on her face, thankful to Viserys for redirecting this entire situation to something less…dull.

At the same time, she ignored the interested look that Rhaenyra was giving her, and so too did she ignore the desire to look back at the girl ten years her junior, as she was soon dragged by the King to celebrate, one thought on her mind as he did so.

‘…Let us hope this wasn’t a great mistake’

That’s the end of the chapter!

Leandra is officially the Warden of the West, and is now a proper Lord. She’ll be improving upon the Westerlands quite a lot in the coming years, as there will be more timeskips to come, but only after her and Rhaenyra are together for a decent amount of time.

I plan on making more HOTD and GOT fics soon, like one where Daenerys is reborn in the past after her death, with a few boons and her sons. Love interest for that one would either be Rhaenyra or Laena Valeryon.

I’ve also got an idea for an OC reborn as the twin sister of Daemon Targaryen, with Rhaenyra as the love interest. She would be based around Visenya Targaryen. And then finally an OC Dragonlord MC who would have no real boons besides what she was born into, and three very special dragon eggs.

I’ve got a lot of ideas in regards to HOTD and GOT, not sure when they’ll all come together though.

Anyways, have a good day!
