Chapter 27: The Lord of Chaos

[3rd POV]

After the rather important teaching session with Raven, and spending the rest of the day watching movies. A lot of them being fantasy movies that Raven was interested in, Wanda decided to spend the next day in the real world, leaving Raven to run the shop for the day, well, the normal shop at least. She wasn’t going to have individuals from other universes showing up during this time.

Wanda was doing this because she wanted to explore a bit, and maybe even meet a couple of other individuals of note from this universe, ones that might have knowledge and books that even she couldn’t get access to normally.

At the moment Wanda was walking through the streets of Washington DC, mostly because she was interested in seeing if she could find the local Cadmus facilities. Cadmus being an organization that dealt with aliens and such, and if this universe truly was based off of Young Justice to a certain degree, then it would also be the place that would house Superboy, and the real Roy Harper, with the one she had met seemingly being a clone of him.

She wasn’t going to do anything with the facility, but she was still interested in seeing if it existed. She also thought it could be a good source of entertainment to watch the plot of Young Justice in person, as if it was a show, which to her, it basically was one.

It didn’t take her long before she had found the thing, and low and behold, it did indeed house Superboy within it. And from what she could tell, he was currently unconscious, held in stasis until the time was right for him to be awoken.

‘Huh…seems this universe is more based on Young Justice than I thought. He is much closer to his comic counterpart in power though’ Wanda thought with a hum, able to easily tell how strong he was. He was far from Superman, but he was definitely on par with his mainline comic counterpart.

‘If he’s that close to his counterpart, then he and his little team will likely be going through a lot more difficulty than in the show. Otherwise there is no way they’d struggle against a majority of the “Light”’ Wanda thought.

The Light was a secretive organization made up of various powerful villains that have a LOT of power politically speaking, and almost all of them were in charge of individual organizations, or were simply so powerful individually that it was similar in range to that of an organization, such as Klarion who was part of the group.

‘Hmm, speaking of the Lords of Chaos. I’m surprised none of them have tracked me down yet. It’s not as if I am hiding or anything, as I could care less if any of them find me. I’m on a higher tier of power than them, so they can’t even touch me even if they want to’ Wanda thought, as Lords of Chaos quite literally can’t harm her, her own chaos was far stronger than theirs, and she would just absorb any chaos thrown at her.

That and reality warping doesn’t work on her, not anymore at least. Her own power would resist such a thing and stop it from affecting her in any negative ways, unless she went out of her way to let it work on her.

‘I do wonder, if this Young Justice team is formed, who all will be a part of it? I’m sure it has to be more than what was in canon, maybe another member of the Bat family? Or perhaps some other protege that isn’t as well known? Would be interesting to see, that’s for sure’ Wanda thought with an interested hum.

She could look into the future at will to figure out who was going to be a part of that team, and some other important events. But that would be…boring as hell, so she wasn’t going to. She also didn’t know how Destiny of the Endless would feel about that sort of thing, as while he couldn’t harm her, he would still be an annoyance if he went out of his way to.

‘I suppose I’ll just have to see’ Wanda thought in slight interest, wondering who else could be part of the Young Justice team, as she walked off, ignoring Cadmus, for it was the younger kids that needed to do that, not her. It was important to them and their development, and she wouldn’t take that from them.

After touring around DC for a while longer, she soon came upon a rather interesting site. This being Wonder Woman battling it out with one of her major rivals, Cheetah. Cheetah was a fast villain that looked like…well a Cheetah. She was amongst the fastest characters in DC, and moved faster than the speed of light, and was faster than Diana, from what Wanda could tell.

She could easily see the two battling from her viewpoint on a nearby building's rooftop, sipping on her slushie as she watched the fight, chips at her side as she also munched on her snack as she enjoyed the entertainment.

She was soon pulled out of her enjoyment as she stopped, she could sense a presence behind her that caused her eyebrow to shoot up, recognizing the power, before a chuckle escaped her.

“I was wondering when one of you would track me down” Wanda said with a hum, continuing to watch the fight as a giggle sounded out behind her.

“Yeah well, you’re harder to find than I thought! That delicious chaos of yours is way harder to track down than one of those prissy Lords of Order” The voice of Klarion sounded out, his familiar Teekl in his arms as it purred at his touch.

“So, I’m assuming you want me to come with you in order to speak with your little group? If so, I can tell you now that I am not interested” Wanda said, causing the entity to giggle.

“You don’t have much of an option, sweetheart. Either you come with me willingly, or I drag you there. I really hope you’ll choose the latter, cause it’ll be so much more fun!” Klarion exclaimed with a grin, as Wanda snorted.

“I’ve got no interest in your little group, Klarion. And trust me, you can’t drag me anywhere, even if every single one of your kind banded together to try” Wanda replied, as the entity's face grew into a scowl, chaos magic beginning to flare around him, reacting to his anger.

“Well you asked for it!” Klarion grinned out, as his scowl changed. Chaos magic swirled around him before flooding towards Wanda in a blast of pure power, only for her to raise an eyebrow at it, before lifting her pointer finger and…tapping the blast?

As she did this, the blast that threatened to hit her, was effortlessly dissolved, as if it was nothing more than a little bit of wind. Klarion’s eyes widened in shock at the sight, as he growled, sending more blasts of chaos magic towards Wanda, but every single one of them was blocked or absorbed, not harming Wanda at all.

“You done yet? I’m enjoying the fight between Wonder Woman and Cheetah, and would much rather focus on that” Wanda said with a bored glint in her eyes, as she turned back to the fight, finding that it was nearly over, Wonder Woman having the upper hand as Cheetah was put on the defense.

She felt the Lord of Chaos continuing to attack her even when she wasn’t looking, but none of it was even touching her, let alone harming her.

“No fair! You must be cheating or something!” Klarion screeched, as Wanda yawned in boredom, before lifting her hand, palm pointing towards the man as he stepped back in alarm.

“You’re boring” Wanda said simply, as Klarion’s eyes widened in fear, as he felt a powerful sucking sensation begin to pull on him.

“Wait wait! Stop stop! NOOOO!” Klarion screeched in pain, as Klarion disappeared into crimson light, that was absorbed by Wanda a moment later, his chaos magic becoming her own, as she glanced down at Teekl, who meowed before stalking over to her, and plopping down in her lap.

Petting the cat behind its ears, she looked down at the at, a small smile forming in her face as she absentmindedly pet it, while watching the ending of the fight between Cheetah and Wonder Woman, one thought on her mind as she did so.

‘…My shop could use a cute cat~’

That’s the end of the chapter!

So…Klarion is uh…out of commission. His chaos magic is her own now, and has been absorbed to strengthen her. Teekl has become her new pet cat who will be the resident bookstore cat. As I thought she could be a good companion.

A vault chapter or two should be coming later today, probably a couple more GOT/HOTD ones before I’m done with that, as well as a PJO one.
