Chapter 208 [Vault]

Death had claimed me. An overwhelming sensation of dread accompanying it, as I knew, deep down, that I am dead. Not really the type of thing I ever wanted to go through in my 17 years of living, but here I am. An infinite void being my only sight, a strangely comforting place, only, that darkness didn’t last long, as a golden glow began to illuminate the darkness, as my vision began to be overwhelmed with light.

A gasp ripped from my throat, as my eyes shut, only to open moments later, as the light became…something else. The previous endless void was now…a bedroom?

A large, lavish bedroom surrounded me, as I began to sit up.

“Where…” I trailed off, as pain began to slam into my skull, forcing me to grit my teeth, as I tried my best not to scream in pain.

[3rd POV]

As the teen lay in her bed, gritting her teeth as sweat trickled down her figure, she did her best not to scream in pain. Memories not her own began to slam into her skull, memory after memory. The memories of a 17 year old teenager, the last living relative of the current Daimyō of the Land of Flowers. The next in line to rule the lands.

Shion Tachibana

The land of Flowers was on the Northwest border of the Land of Earth, a land that was in a dangerous position due to the Land of Earth’s attempts at conquering the lands, only stopped because of the aid of the Land of Lightning, which saved them from being annexed and absorbed.

The land didn’t even have a hidden village, making it rather weak all things considered, only having a small force of Samurai, with the land being relatively large.

Her lands made all of its wealth off of the incredibly fertile land. Fertile land that was ripe for the taking by the Land of Earth, something that her grandfather the current Daimyo knew. Which is why he has been trying to get into an alliance with the nearby land of Medicine and Land of Stairs.

From what she knew, she had recently been attacked by a group of bandits on her way back to the main city of Sakurai. She had been attacked due to her wealth, and the fact that she was widely considered to be one of the most unique beauties in the entire world, and one of the most beautiful women in the entire world.

‘…So I’m around the time of the 2nd ninja war? With the Third Shinobi War starting around 8 years later…that means that I’m quite a bit older than Minato and Kushina, around 8 to 9 years older’ Shion thought with a hum, knowing that the 2nd war hadn’t actually started fully yet. It was mostly tense standoffs and such, as Uzushio hadn’t even been destroyed yet, which had happened during the start of the War.

‘Interesting time to appear. But I guess it’s for the best. Gives me time to grow in power, and grow my lands. But it is also the most dangerous times for the safety of my lands’ Shion thought with a frown, knowing that her grandfather was in his late 80’s, and was nearing death. He wasn’t a shinobi or had a special bloodline, meaning, he was…not meant for this world much longer.

‘He’ll likely pass before the end of the war…’ Shion thought with a small sigh, knowing there wasn’t much she could do about it. Old age would be his killer though, that much she would make certain of.

‘But to not get any sort of cheat or anything kinda suc-‘

‘Well I stand corrected’

‘…Alright, go ahead and use it then. Let’s just hope it’s a good summon’ Shion thought, praying that it wouldn’t be someone useless to her.

As she spoke these words inwardly to the system, a sunny glow began to form in front of her, her eyes widening as slowly a man began to levitate through a summoning circle on the ground. A man that she recognized the second she saw him. A wide, excited smile on her face as she gazed at the best swordsmen of his universe, a true monster in terms of talent, and one of the best starting summons she could have asked for…

Yoriichi Tsugikuni

”Master” Yoriichi spoke, kneeling before her as her eyes widened, flustered.

“Wait wait wait, you don’t need to kneel, Yoriichi-San!” Shion said, shaking her head at the sight. It didn’t seem right to have a man as incredible as him to act like this. A man that would protect her for…well, the rest of her life.

“It would be improper of me, master” Yoriichi said, shaking his head, emotionless as she had expected.

“But-alright fine. What happened when you were summoned here? Or before you were summoned at least” Shion asked, interested.

“I was on the cusp of death, age taking its toll. Before these…words appeared in my vision, giving me a second chance at life, so long as I serve you. It has implanted knowledge of the current situation into my mind, master. Of this world, of the…chakra that is utilized here. It truly is incredible, and far beyond anything in my land” Yoriichi said.

“And you’re going to train in chakra? Since you have it” Shion asked, as the man nodded.

“Of course. It would be foolish not to”

”…Can you train me then? I-I don’t have much in terms of combat experience, especially not kenjutsu. But you-you might be able to help me overcome that weakness. To be able to defend myself if anything ever happens” Shion asked, as the man gave her a small smile, and nodded.

“I would be honored”

Shion blinked several times, as she couldn’t help but shiver, realizing that she…might have just made a rather large mistake. And if the small grin that was forming on her summons face, she was pretty certain she had.

‘…Oh Kami I’ve just made a grave mistake, haven’t I?’

’I hate my life!’ Shion screamed inwardly, as she deflected the strike from her sensei.

It had been a little over 3 months since she had been transmigrated into this world. Since she had become Shion, and since she had summoned Yoriichi into this world. During that time, she had met with her grandfather quite often, finding that the man was incredibly kind, but was also strict and serious when it came to her tutoring and training.

This training was in order to make sure she was prepared to take his mantle, upon his death. He had…a number of questions upon seeing Yoriichi, but that had all ceased once he watched the man completely and utterly dismantle every samurai under his command with laughable ease.

To have someone like that protect his granddaughter was…a huge boon. Even more so once Shion realized that Yoriichi would be even better off training others. Something she had organized. Now, the household guards personally chosen by Yoriichi, were being trained in combat by the man, who had knowledge of Water Breathing, Thunder Breathing, Wind Breathing, Flame Breathing, and Stone breathing.

He had begun to train a group of 5 men in each of these five styles, so that they would have five masters of these arts, who would then go on to train another group of people, and so on and so forth, so that they’d have a small army of breathing style users.

It was all under control by Shion and her grandfather, who had managed to get his hands on some contract seals. Special seals made by the Uzumaki that made it so that if one was to go against the seal, then they would well…die. All five of them were put under these contracts, so that none of these methods would leak by their hands.

It was one of the few things that her grandfather traded for from the Uzumaki. Having been an old friend of the previous Uzukage.

They were expensive, but it was worth it.

At the moment Shion was in the middle of training with Yoriichi, the man beating her black and blue with ease. Doing his best to teach her Thunder Breathing, Wind Breathing, and Water Breathing. As she decided on learning them before learning the much harder Sun Breathing.

And it was because of this that her master had found that she was…a genius. Not on the level of him, not even close. But her talent in swordsmanship was not to be underestimated, and it was because of this that she was rapidly growing in the art, even if she couldn’t compare to Yoriichi, and likely never would. Especially once the man had begun to utilize and train chakra, which just like everything else he had tried, he was a genius at.

It was unfair really.

The tension between Iwa, Konoha, Suna, and Ame was growing by the month, and it was getting very obvious that War was on the horizon. Something her grandfather had been preparing for as more and more reports began to come in about skirmishes and battles taking place, small time, with little victims, but still battles.

All in all, Shion had been having an interesting past few months, and she would continue to have an interesting few months, as she continued to train with her sensei, and grow.

And as she felt his wooden blade hit her shoulder, she grunted, one thought on her mind as she tried her best to retaliate, and that thought was…

’I’ll say it again, I hate my life!’

So Shion will NOT be overpowered. She will be strong, but it’ll more so be her servants that will be carrying her quite a bit during the war. She’ll likely be Jonin level for a long time, but will have a lot of variety that’ll make her a hard fight for most.

But her summons? They’re going to be the real monsters.

She’s also going to be my first “Girly girl” MC in quite some time. So dresses, feminine clothing, not being toned and such, you know, all of that. She also MIGHT be submissive in bed (only in bed) but I’ve got no clue.

I also have no idea who to make the love interest for this one to be honest.

I was thinking of making a fic with a female Yhwach MC with the powers of Yhwach and Aizen (scaled down a bit so she won’t one shot everything she interacts with, as I know he CAN scale to Universal, even if that seems a bit much) not sure if y’all would be interested though.

The PJO vault fic I’ve been planning should be coming out tomorrow or later tonight, we’ll see!
