I originally thought the Sapphire Sky would just cast modify memory or maybe geas on Lady Orozivaar, but as I was writing this I discovered...they wouldn't. They're the good guys. They're not going to do something like that, even if it costs them.
I didn't know they weren't going to solve the problem until I wrote it, until Imbris said it, so I'm as surprised as anyone. In the end, the problem of Lady Orozivaar is only postponed. But that might be enough....

While, I make room for the more obvious track, that this ending is precisely what it appears to be, I hold out hope that it is more dynamic than that. This could be totally awesome if this is a manifestation of Imbris’ line, “she’ll have bigger concerns than us once she realizes the import of what this King told her.” I’ll be impressed if this is a “Christmas Carol” style experience where in order to get Lady Orozivaar to listen they show her the consequences of The Chain failing, for any reason (including her reasons). Well, anything you come up with is probably even better than this. I look forward to it...
