Arcadia Survey

Hey Awesome MCDM Patrons,

It’s James Introcaso again! We want to know what you think about ARCADIA, so we put together a survey about the first three issues and beyond. Your responses will help us plan future issues and deliver dope, actionable content.

If you only do the required questions, it should only take about 10 minutes to answer the survey. But if you want to leave us more feedback, we’ll totally take it. There are a few open-ended questions where you get as specific as you’d like. We really want to know what you think.

No matter how you choose to answer, it's completely anonymous and we’re grateful for your honest feedback. Thank you!

Arcadia Survey

I realize, looking at some older magazines, there was something I should have included in the survey. The magazine needs a comic strip! I've always loved the little comic strips that many magazines have tucked away in them. (Doesn't have to be anything serious like a multipage full blown thing, just a little 3-6 panel thing.) Even if it was just a gag strip about Matt DMing, or the Chain doing little side things that aren't "exciting" at all, or even one that somehow incorporated the articles from each issue into it.

Robert Wyatt

I wanted to reiterate on this as well - I've had the same experience

Courtney De Barros

Where can I find the code to get the Magazine in the mcdm Shop? Didn't get it in my email

Daniel Dias

I am slightly dissapointed there wasn't a question that was "NO QUESTION!". But I really liked the breakdown on twitch. Some super interesting conclusions there.

Mats Burhammar

One thing I wanted to mention after watching the livestream about this is, how many DMs aren't sharing because they don't want their players to know where they've stolen their inspiration from? I know I like to look brilliant by using obscure MCDM tips. I do think it would be really cool to have future editions divided into Player and DM sections so people who don't want to spoil adventures, new monsters or other stuff easily know where not to go.

Eric

You asked how frequently I watch Running the Game videos, but didn't give an option for watching each one multiple times, so I had to pretend I only "watch every video".

Is there a way to edit my survey response?

Brian Case

I'm a little guilty there! But also, I have kind of a complicated relationship that boils down to I love using official settings after they potentially undergo edits, and when I confine my focus to an area that is small enough for me to be able to do sufficient research to ensure I don't miss something big about some aspect of the setting. I initially marked "homebrew" because I do tend to edit out a lot of colonialism and sexism out of official content or just make a wholly new setting, but then I swapped to "published" to reflect the ideal wherein I would love to run official settings more if I like them and there's less viscerally uncomfortable language printed in their lore... and to indicate that I factually adore Theros.

Claire Buzzelli

My only complaint was that they didn't ask what else I support on Patreon. I take any opportunity I have to shout out my favorite content creators

(Not) Randy Moore Director of Escape from Tomorrow

That's interesting. Personally i find Adventures nice to have. And sometimes really cool and interesting (Workshop Watches!). But in general i enjoy other more diverse content over the adventures .-.

Lennart Peters

All done! Really hoping more adventures make an appearance in future issues!

Fighting Chance Studio

Really good survey. my only quibble is with the final question, I get my news about RPG products from a number of places so just selected the most common one. Either way, loved Arcadia and really excited for some of the stuff the survey hinted at.

james canniffe

As a soc graduate, I appreciate the well crafted survey - nicely focused, quick, and I suspect, will have some great results.

Zetesofos

The hardest question was what I liked least and you didn't have the "I love everything option".

Michael Spredemann

I didn't want to have to select 3 things i liked least ... its pretty much all dope. So apologies in advance to authors :)

Kelby B

For how long will this survey stay open? I'd like to participate, but wont have time until the weekend.

pepper-jk

Done

Hans Krill (Althwen)

Neither can I!

Y'all are killin' it. Can't wait to see what ye do next.

My only complaint is that I could only select 3 for the things I was most excited to use or have already used haha :P

Landon Jamieson

Looking forward to more arcadia Answers to Q14 might be biased because when people saw Q15 they probably changed their answer on 14 to 'published' so that they could tell you their favourite setting Q19 doesn't include discord

Erik Cameron

Really enjoy Arcadia! I put it in the survey but my favorites so far have been the monster blocks and new subclasses. Would definitely love more of those in the upcoming issues!

Tegan J Gaming

Very well done survey

SebastianGutmaster

Never realized I needed this (: now I’m super excited and hoping you get what you need to keep it going!

Matt Chisolm

Survey done! I think Arcadia is fantastic and really hope you are seeing a positive enough response to make you continue doing it.

Emilia Rinaldi

Honestly Arcadia has made me the happiest I've been in years

I'm a big fan of this format. I hope you are seeing the numbers you need to continue publishing cool content in Arcadia!

Brandon H

All filled out, looking forward to the next one!

Sound_Tech

I cannot wait to see where this goes! Super cool stuff being done here and I'm so glad to be along for the ride!
