Coming Soon: The MCDM RPG Crowdfunding Campaign
Added 2023-11-23 19:00:03 +0000 UTCHey everyone! James here to let you know that the time is near for the MCDM RPG crowdfunding campaign. That’s right, crowdfunding for the MCDM RPG is going live via Backerkit on December 7th and you can sign up here to get notified the moment it happens.
If you want the skinny, here’s a video from Matt explaining the game’s themes. It’s a heroic fantasy RPG that’s tactical and cinematic. We’re making a game where you play big damn heroes saving the world from power-hungry tyrants. Combat is one of the most important pieces of the game, and your tactical positioning and the actions your hero takes matter to the battle and the adventure’s outcome. The feats your hero can perform from 1st level on help forge an action-packed story.
This game has completely original rules. It isn’t compatible with any game that’s already published, but if you have Flee, Mortals! or Where Evil Lives or any of our other books or original classes for D&D, then you’ll recognize a lot of the RPG’s philosophy and design. We’re taking the same ideas and making sure that our game puts fun first. It’ll be fun to play, fun to run, and fun to prep. We love games, and we’re putting all that love into this RPG.
You can read a little more about the game on the BackerKit countdown page and all Patrons who are in the MCDM+ tiers get regular updates about the rules development from us. Eventually, those same Patrons will also get playtest packets.
Let’s have some fun in a tactical heroic cinematic fantasy game! The crowdfunding campaign is just the beginning.

2023-11-29 18:06:19 +0000 UTCTo the creator, (Matt, James, etc, al. I jumped into the water kinda early & was told in an email that playtesting the rules didn't require an NDA. That it was all going to be laid out for patrons as you all released then in the Patreon. The intent of the email was to express desire to integrate the rules into our own Kickstarter world setting (Khor World next year.) & that we intended to be exclusive to MCDM rules. We want to "partner up" with MCDM hopefully to help both businesses. *I don't want to give WoTC one damn penny! Here's the rub. With the amount of cash we already have in the world setting, dropping another $100 on MCDM rules will cut into our budget. So hopefully lets get together on this soon.
