Brooke and Rachel are a fun friendship and I love them this season. But, something that Brooke said bothered me. I feel like Rachel tried to "seduce" Lucas, after Brooke pushed Lucas toward Rachel and while they were non-exclusive. So... I wouldn't count that as a bad thing that Rachel did.

For people who are gamblers, those are good odds to bet for (professional gamblers often don't bet just by wins or losses, especially on the games preceding championship games, since sometimes that would be obvious, but the margins of those wins and losses). So, by letting Nathan know that he cannot win by more than 9 points, Dante is ensuring that he wins those bets.
