If you want to glean more information from past episoodes: Please re-watch the dream sequences between Faith and BUffy in season 3, and BUffy and Tara from Buffy's dream in the season 4 finale. Then, re-watch the scene between Dawn and the disheveled gentleman from this epsiode. Those scenes contain helpful and tantalizing clues to the premise of season 5. Pay attention to the language going on, and the imagery used in the settings. This season is my all-time favorite. It's really touching, poignant, and so exciting. Masterfully done. I LOVE how you mentioned twice how Tara must be feeling regarding being an outsider - I agree that Tara IS a Scoobie and is NOT a non-Scoobie. It always breaks my heart when Tara reveals she feels this way. Back in the early 2000s, seeing gay people on TV was truly WILD to me and so exciting, and I feel like BTVS represented gay people so well - at the time and now! I remember trusting that BTVS would do us gay people proud. I think this came out when I was in 8th grade and I remember being SO OBSESSED with this season in particular, the plot, the premise, and charatcers. It's such a pleasure to see you enjoying it and asking and wondering all the "right" things! Some people watch/do this season "incorrectly" if that makes sense. A few other people mentioned that you are really doing well with your reactions to Dawn and I coulnd't agree more! I CANNOT wait for your reactions!!!! I'm gushing now, but I think re-watching those scenes for more clues will be the key to your success!!!
