I think this is the beginning of exploring some deep character things with Brooke <3 I love her, but gosh was she a MESS this episode. The most interesting thing of all is the "courtesy hold" which always felt weirdly territorial and possessive. Also, it is clearly something that Peyton never bought into or agreed to. And before this episode, Brooke has already tried pursuing Lucas, so she just made it up for last episode, even though she knew that Peyton did harbor some feelings for Lucas. And to try to push her back into this toxic relationship is really Not The Way To Go. Sorry, Brooke.

2020-10-19 03:37:09 +0000 UTCFinally feel comfortable now in saying that Nathan and Hayley are literally perfect together and I ship it with my whole heart. As for Brooke.... There’s no defending her this episode. She is an absolute train wreck and yeah there are reasons for her behavior that we haven’t yet explored, it’s no excuse for how she tried to do Peyton. I didn’t like it at all. Peyton is frustrating to me at times because she never likes to let her guard down but there are reasons for that as well so I get it. I love Brooke but she’s completely in the wrong here.

2020-10-19 03:36:31 +0000 UTCSee in my opinion Brooke knows that Peyton likes Lucas and Lucas likes Peyton. If she didn’t she wouldn’t be lying trying to get Nathan and Peyton together so she can just have Lucas. I know Peyton should be more open with her feelings but it’s probably hard when she’s been treated like crap by Nathan for the longest time. Even though we only see them together for a few episodes it still probably weighs on how trusting and open she’s willing to be with her feelings. I didn’t like how Brooke did that this episode. As Nathan said she really should put some ice on it.
