2021-06-14 02:17:58 +0000 UTCWhat’s really interesting to me in this episode is the parallels between how Elena acts and how Stephen acts when they’re guilty or feel guilt. Throughout this episode you see her focusing and putting all her energy on fixing the situation, and depriving herself of happiness. And that’s very similar to how Stephan is when he’s feeling a lot of guilt over his actions, it was very interesting to watch. I also love the through line of the Damon and his brother. I personally think Stefan loves Damon more than he loves Elena, but Damon has this desperation for love since he never got it his whole life that he prioritizes that over Stefan. Their dynamic is.... interesting to say the least.

He didn’t choose just revenge. He chose his dignity, his mother and his friends. What i don’t like is that he left after giving Caroline false hope all day knowing that he will leave by the end of it.

"oh no, he choose Klaus over Caroline!", well duh, blame Klaus for this, not Tyler who is the victim. And Caroline should understand that. She has every right to break up with him, because he won't be able to be there for her, but she doesn't have a right to blame him. If Klaus killed her mother I wonder how she would have acted, it's suprising to me Elena doesn't give her a hard time for fancing Klaus because Klaus killed Jenna.

I’m pretty sure you need more than a little taste of it, you have to pretty much drain them to the point where your own blood then becomes the cure. This is because that one little dose became the entirety of Kat’s bloodstream. A little taste wouldn’t do anything otherwise everyone that wanted the cure would have had tiny feasts on Katherines neck and since there’s only one dose (which is now passed to Silas) that wouldn’t work out. Hope that makes sense lol

When Damon bit Katherine to feed her blood to Silas, he must've ingested at least a little part of her blood ie. the cure. We know only a little dose is needed for the cure to take effect and I didn't see him spit it out or anything along those lines. What's going on there? 😅

2021-05-23 11:01:06 +0000 UTCPaul and Ian both look so good this season specially Paul as Silas is way too hot 🥵😻 I laughed so hard when Aaron tells Elena about his family, friends and everyone around him dying and u were like oh he’s the male version of Elena that was so funny 🤣 Nadia and Katherine who expected that S5 is good at revealing things like with Katherine then the history of the doppelgängers it’s all so interesting.

2021-05-23 09:49:50 +0000 UTCWhat is amazing about this show is the fact that never leave loose any ends unanswered, before or after everything will be cleared and every action has motivavation and psycological backing. Most shows just make someone bad, or drop information and don't give any explanation why that person act that way, or what happen in the past, but not this show., by the end of season 8 everything is very clear, every character will be explained fullly, the lore will be completed, and with all the information you have you can rewatch the show and it will be an entilerly different experience.

Of course, Tyler wouldn't be able to live after all this as if nothing had happened and pretend to be an ordinary student. His mother was his only relative, and Klaus had killed her just to get back at Tyler. I can imagine how much he's in pain. But Caroline's right, too. Revenge on Klaus has never done anyone any good. It will only make him obsessive and ruin his life even more.

2021-05-23 05:33:17 +0000 UTCOh, yes, I've been waiting for this twist with Nadia, and I knew you'd love it. This is freaking awesome! And if you go back to the past now, Nadia's connection with Katherine was even obvious. They are similar in appearance, the Slavic name-Nadia (the full and official version of the name is-Nadezhda, which is adequately translated into English as Hope), her obsession with Katherine and the actress who plays Nadia - Olga Fonda - is of Russian origin and she was the first to pronounce the name "Katerina Petrova" without an accent, as it is pronounced in the original. Still, it was very unexpected. But I also wouldn't mind if Katherine died in this episode. She was an amazing character, with her own story and she's so badass, but I think she played a part in this story and hurt a lot of lives. So, killing Katherine to get Bonnie back would be a great solution.

As for Katherine meeting her daughter after all these years is probably overwhelming and somewhere difficult for her to believe. Oh boy! She is a survivor indeed... doesn't give up without a tough fight. I didn't mind Damon offering her over to Silas honestly 😂 she is paying back for all the times she was okay with Damon walking into a potential death trap.

2021-05-23 03:25:43 +0000 UTCWhen I first watched this episode, I was pissed at Tyler. Now, he’s completely in the right. Everyone else has been trying to kill Klaus since Season 2. Relentlessly. Even if it felt like a suicide mission at the time. They all rightfully wanted to kill him. Tyler now rightfully wants to kill him. He murdered his mother and he’s in love with his (now ex?) girlfriend. I feel like everyone understood when Stefan was hyper-focused on killing Klaus and even when Elena was hyper-focused on killing Rebekah and then on killing Katherine. Tyler might have not recently had his humanity turned off or be a newbie vampire, but the intensity of hatred that he feels for Klaus is totally warranted. Regarding Katherine, this human version is my favorite version of her, but I was never rooting for her to stay alive. I was cheering Damon on. Ultimately, she is the reason why Bonnie is dead, so I really thought that she would die here. But, she’s still alive. A survivor, indeed.
