Seven Seas entertaintment got busted earlier this year after it came out that they censored mushoku and another LN series. They apologized and since march there seem to be uncensored versions. After seeing the first run (Jan-March 2021) of Mushoku anime i thought they are adapting the web novel and not the light novel. But the censorship was at fault.

Despite being in his old body he was a totally different man, the way he stood tall, held his chin up and looked directly at hitogami as opposed to being self-loathing and huddled on the floor. Not only that, but he didn't beg, he didn't bargain for his life, in what he believed were his final minutes and with his final words he expressed sympathy for the man who killed him, gratefulness for the short second life he lived, relief for his friend who is no longer cursed and finally acceptance of his own fate. This episode really hits hard.
