2022-09-26 21:51:47 +0000 UTCRecently I've been enjoying watching various B-tier anime and this is one of the ones that popped up on my list. And it was surprisingly good. The animation is a little odd (especially since with the art style there is no real line art, its just color & shading) and the CGI is probably the 2nd worst I've seen so far (1st worst being Tales of Zestiria the X, that one was so bad it actually made me nauseous). The pacing is very fast and a lot of context from the LN is left out (I'm still technically anime only since the only things from the LNs I know are from comments on other reactors videos) but otherwise the story is good and it generally makes sense. Its entertaining and that's really all that matters. I'd give it a 6-7/10 (which for me is pretty good. 5-7 are the 'not the best but I enjoyed it' ranks. 8-9 is 'really good, absolutely love it' while 10 is literally just 'god-tier').

2022-01-02 03:28:29 +0000 UTCYou are correct, it moves extremely quickly (and changes some things from the LN). Although some amount of source material is expected to be cut when making the jump to Anime with very few exceptions (e.g. Mushoku Tensei), the Anime in this case really takes the story and sprints with it. While the Anime is still decent, from the LN readers' perspective, there is a ton of potential that was lost, particularly with how good (IMHO) the LN was. But hopefully, it appears better to you as an Anime-only! I've heard rumors that the second season has taken the criticism of first series to heart and will be a better product, but I'll believe it when I see it..

The voice actor's voices don't fit the characters, or the words are slightly changed through the translations, or for some reason it just has a sense of general wrongness to it.
