How do you feel about the intro?
Added 2022-01-26 14:13:13 +0000 UTCSo I start videos saying what we are reacting to, then I do the social things and point out the playlist then the Patreon shoutout and next I normally do a "review" intro. I feel like the first 3 are necessary but the "review" of the previous episode feels like I can just scrap it... thoughts?

I like the advice of not forcing a review and just going over the thoughts I have coming into that weeks episode. Sometimes I just recap the previous because I dont really have much to say and I want to avoid that. With that said, it's nice to hear some people enjoy the reviews because I've been thinking for quite a while that its a negative for the videos.

Also it's good for new viewers who may not have watched your previous videos. It shows you think about what you watch instead of just sitting there slacked jawed while watching. It's a big plus for me when I'm looking for a reaction channel. Of course this is your channel so you should do what you want.

I assume that most of us (or at least for me personally) have seen the episode once ourselves and then watched your reaction to it after the fact, so we don't need a third run-through of what happened lol

However if you have any corrections to make then that's a good place to put them. I think that it would also be fun if you quickly listed any predictions/hopes that you have for the episode to come. But a recap of the previous episode isn't really needed.. Maybe you are being tyrannized by the format? have an intro if there is actually something that you are excited to say, but skip it if there isn't anything you think is interesting. Would you make a tweet about what you said? if not then it probably doesn't need to be in the intro.
