Also, obviously I want to avoid the back and forth because most people believe what they believe and it’s not worth my time to talk to a wall lol. One thing I won’t stand for is discrimination. I won’t compromise on that and that’s where I might get “preachy” but that rarely pops up in anime outside of rich v poor and I usually just call the snobs asshole and move on

2022-01-31 04:48:23 +0000 UTCYup, I've "liked" most of the other responses so far, so the only comment I can make is to make sure you avoid burning yourself out. Many other creators that I have seen are engaged with their community as well, but end up doing things that are not sustainable and end up having to take an extended break to recuperate. I think that what you do already is great, especially the engagement on Patreon, since that seems to always fall by the wayside with other reactors. As far as anything else, I would just recommend to never delve too deep into your personal thoughts on current events (outside of anime), as I have seen that turn large swaths of audiences away before (especially due to everyone being polarized currently). While I think its fine to make some superficial comments about how something in an anime may relate to something IRL, nobody wants to be preached at or watch someone that alienates them. Not something that you have to necessarily follow of course, since its your channel and all that, but just something that I have seen turn into a big mess between everyone involved (including nasty comment spats/wars between Patreons) :P Thanks for all that you do and keep up the great job!

If I had to ask for something it'd be watching old school anime. However I know old school anime doesn't bring in the kids so I don't know how valuable that would be.

Yeah it happens during OPs mainly since I (1) don't want to just skip them and (2) I kind of don't want to watch OPs all the time since spoilers. I will do a better job of pausing if I need to respond to something or just straight up put my phone down. Ill still slip up every now and then, but Ill try to keep this in mind 😁👍

It only happens occasionally, but when it does i just want to say "Hey, the opening is over, you're missing some the subtitles.". Truly, not a big deal, but sometimes feels like an itch I can't scratch. Thanks for the great content and hard work.
