As in some of her thoughts are now said out loud because it works better in anime. So like instead of thinking wow that's crazy she yells it. Although she still has issues but most times their more nuanced in the book.

While yes, she was an adult before she died and became Main, the impression I got was that she wasn't really fully mature, she seemed to only care about books and was in her late teens or early 20's. It's entirely possible she never learned to conduct herself properly like most people do.

Yeah the temple sits between the 'poor' downtown area and the uptown 'noble' area. The temple acts as one of the gatekeepers to keep the poor riffraff out of the rich area and keep the nobles from accidentally entering the poor areas. The temple isn't the only way between the districts, just the most central area, if I remember right from the books.
