It's like someone who's been cheated on in the recent past constantly testing their significant other. She badly wants a friend, but she's utterly terrified of another betrayal so once she actually started to believe he might be her friend, she was trying to rip the bandaid off as quickly as possible. Funny thing is that she was also asking him for assurance that he wouldn't leave her because she was starting to trust him and wanted to a friend so bad. People do contradictory things all the time.
