But my favorite part of this anime is that it is always making you rethink everything you know in the series and the big action parts are godly animated

Excelia is basically a fancy word for experience(at least i see it that way) You might think why doesnt a higher lvl adventurer just hold down a monster and lets low lvl adventurers kill them. The reason is because experience isnt the same for every kill/fight. Excelia isnt added on a flat number for each monster. In each fight you experience something different. Thats why Bells stats and excelia skyrocketed during the fight with the minotaur. He fought against an opponent that was above him, he fought to the death(one mistake and he is dead), he used everything he learned up to this point and he faced one of his biggest fears(at the time). All of this is taken into account when excelia gets added. And that special excelia is what is needed to lvl up. Since most adventurers fight and farm monsters on their lvl and dont try to engage something beyond them. Thats why most adventurers have a hard time lvling up. But Bell keeps getting into dangerous fights again and again. Thats why he lvls a lot faster than other adventures

2022-04-15 00:11:11 +0000 UTCPpl actually theorize that since Ouranos' prayers keep the Dungeon somewhat contained (it used to overflow to shit w/ monsters all the way to the surface, hence why there's weakass monsters on surface, since those monsters that escaped basically fucked random animals or w/e (or each other, I guess; no idea how viable that is, since Monsters are generally asexually birthed by the Dungeon itself), and their offspring are weakshit versions of those monsters basically; the reason is that since they are born outside the Dungeon, their energy is shit since they can't rly inherit the magic gemstone thingie their parents have as their core, so at most they'd be ore souped up animals, since the Dungeon can't graft them w/ their own cores due to not having access to them since they are above ground), that on the bottom-most floor might be Gaia or w/e. It would make thematically sense, especially since Gaia is generally thematically synonymous to Mother Earth (quite literally, since Gaia's body makes up the planet itself as per Greek mythos, just like Ouranos' body makes up the sky itself)

If Aisha wasn't a part of a familia, there is no way she could be on the middle floors, not even the upper ones, u need the god's blessing and status to be able to have levels and be stronger. Without being part of a familiar u are level 0. It's what happened to Ares familia when attacking Orari. A million people of level 0 against 2 level 6 is gg for the level 6. Aisha is part of Hermes familia Rn, and ryuu retains the status from her former god. All adventurers u see are a part of a familia.

2022-04-14 08:04:30 +0000 UTCI left a similar message on a previous reaction, but was way after the upload date, so I wanted to post it again here: I don't know if you have been told this or not. Recently I've binged all ur Danmachi reactions. There is one aspect of worldbuilding that isn't told. All abilities go from 0 to 1000. Each 100th has a letter. I don't recall the earlier ones but from 700-800 is B, 800-900 is A 900-1000 is S. Every time u kill a monster using that stat, or all stats at the same time (I.E killing a mob with a greatsword increases strength). But those stats increase very little every time. Maybe after going and coming back to a middle floor a level 2 just increases 30 points in total across all 5 stats. The difference is that Bell has the reality freeze (feelings for Aiz increase growth). And when he levelled up he had all stats over 1000, SS or even SSS. Agility was 1337. Because he grew so damn much from just a single opponent that he could go over the limit. Also when a children has on of its stats at at least B rank, it is ready to level up. They only need a huge amount of excelia (the energy released after killing mobs) enough to make them level up. After they level up all of their stats go to 0. And they start the grind again. That doesn't mean the earlier progress disappears, given that they had that growth in them. So if bell RN is a level 3, who's agility has been: 1337 at LvL 1, 1302 at LvL 2 and maybe 400 at current level 3. That means it has a total accumulated of around 3k agility. Something a mid level 4 based on agility would have, or a late level 4 magic or strength build would have. Because when people reach a agility around 800, they would go for the rank up. But Bell gains soo much excelia that he just goes over it. Sorry for the li
