2022-05-20 14:19:16 +0000 UTCsince it prety much the first moderne isekai and even more since the site where mushoku tensei , konosuba , re zero and a lot of other that is call Shōsetsuka ni Narō was originaly a site when fangirl post fanfiction of znt it true that it a clasical isekai BUT i have to say if you dislike all clichez in isekai i would advice again since it create it all but if do not bother you go ahead last point the anime and the ln have two story totaly diferent after the 3th season since the 4th season is a origial ending

2022-05-20 09:48:20 +0000 UTCI think it might be the art style that makes people skip it before giving it a try. It's pretty vibrant and has a 2000s feel to it which most people probably aren't into. I know I thought that at first and I'm so glad I gave it the chance because now I actually love the art style and the series it's so damn good. Not to mention the manga just keeps getting better and better!

2022-05-19 23:10:41 +0000 UTCYup. Truly. I’d even say it’s a very rare type of pure fantasy with , I believe, no isekai elements whatsoever. And it’s not even a “magical girl” type of a show either. There are very few of these pure fantasy shows as most of those involving magic falls under either of the 2 previous genre. Another one is The Ancient Magus’ Bride, but I didn’t like the ending ( the direction the story was going with side villain chars), so can’t recommend. When I watched Magi it definitely gave me good old fantasy show vibes like Slayers and Gokudo which I’d still recommend to anyone who’s looking for a decent 90s fantasy show :3

2022-05-19 09:23:27 +0000 UTC3) Three options, but based on # of episodes, perhaps only 3rd should be considered. -- Hunter x Hunter (2011) is just too good on many levels, but over 100 eps. -- The Twelve Kingdoms (Fantasy, 45 episodes, "slower" shiw, but good storytelling alike to Ascendance of a Bookworm) -- Haibane Renmei (Fantasy, 13 eps, not quite an isekai, but kind of, very unique world. When I was watching Made in Abyss, it gave me Haibane vibes, for sure as it's an older show).
