Sly Spy: Secret Agent (Arcade) - The Ultimate James Bond Rip Off! - Kim Justice

It's time for another classic Arcade game review - it's Data East's Sly Spy, also known as Secret Agent! This 1990 game combines several forms of gameplay and...well, takes more than a few cues from a certain British spy who goes by the codename of 007. And it had some good home conversions too! Enjoy.

I don't know why but Data East games were really well distributed in Ireland. I saw Secret Agent in pretty much every arcade. More obscure titles like Edward Randy were in two locations in my town, despite now being relatively obscure. Their games always had big System 18ish sprites so circa 1990 everybody flocked to those machines. Whatever it was about releases here the Capcom & Konami ones were 3 years out of date and I thought the likes of SNK, UPL & Data East were actually Sega's main competition.

Had this one on the Amiga, I recall it fondly
