2022-06-20 13:16:29 +0000 UTCOne of the aspects I love about Code Geass is that, despite how old this show is already, the animation quality still holds up to this day. Also, CLAMP, the studio behind the character designs of this show, has always had a very unique art style for their characters. I think this and xxxHolic stand out the most for their signature character designs of having really slender bodies and lanky character profiles. They're also behind other classics such as Cardcaptor Sakura, Tsubasa Chronicles, Chobits, and Rayearth, among other shows. Also, one common theme of Code Geass is blind loyalty being shown towards Zero. We see 2 examples in Diethard and Kallen. The former being so enamored by this crazy revolutionary figure that he wants to have front row seats to history being made, by any means necessary. The latter is so devoted to Zero, almost obsessed with him even, that she's willing to throw her life away just to save and/or protect him. We're slowly reaching the climax of the first season and let me tell you, it gets even crazier from here on out! There is a reason why a lot of people regard this anime as one of the all-time greats.
