Not growing up with anime? I did. We just didn't know it for anime. I grew up in the 70's with dubbed Speed Racer, Star Blazers and another that I can't remember the name. The last two where Space Battleship Yamato and I believe something from the Macross Universe. Can't remember which was re-titled as Star Blazers.

They did show a lot tourist spots of Tottori and the manga Uzaki-chan did have an original collaboration activity with Tottori Prefecture as I remebered. They provide key visuals, original story (this episode) and commemorative exhition in the figure museum mentioned. The episode itself also have references of Detective Conan (black shadow at the beginning) and GeGeGe no Kitaro (the person walk by wearing Geta/flip-flops).
