I love the evil Iruma arc because it starts to show more of Iruma's classmates and their bloodline abilities, although we haven't seen the lion guy (lol I've also forgotten his name) and Caim (the bird dude). The narrator only said their nicknames. I especially love that we get this character development from Sabnock. Can't forget the kabedon on Ameri!

2022-08-21 21:38:32 +0000 UTCI couldn’t agree more with this I have no issues with my hero academia but for me this does everything better especially when it comes to the characters we have seen more growth with sabnock in one season than most of the characters ever got in my hero. as for the put off by the art style almost every reactor I have seen for this series has said they didn’t watch it until much later and were put off because of how cartoony it looked but with everything pretty much hand drawn it fits the show spectacularly

2022-08-21 21:27:24 +0000 UTCJust a slight non spoiler answer to your question about why Ali did this but before Ali did the change Iruma mentioned he didn’t understand demons as much especially with the whole evil cycle thing and with Ameri’s personality swap but wanted to know more about demons so Ali decided to let Iruma Experience either the evil cycle or the personality swap but decided to just do both instead

2022-08-21 21:20:28 +0000 UTCUnfortunately, with mha all the other characters very much took a back seat and focus shifted heavily onto Bakugo, Todoroki & Midoriya. One of the best parts about this series & something that gets mentioned by a lot of people is that, unlike mha, it continues to improve and expand upon on the other characters and not just focus on a few. It only continues to get better and even right now in the manga, all the characters are constantly being fleshed out & aren't forgotten. This series is very much what I feel like mha SHOULD have been when they were first introducing class 1-A. I wish more people would give this series a chance because it really does deserve to be much more popular. I think a lot of people are probably too off-put by the art style to give it a chance. I was actually one of them too, it looked too "cartoony" to me at the time. I'm so damn glad I decided to give it a go back then!
