We see Jeremiah literally become a hybrid machine thing near the end of S1. He was controlling the spiky ball machine too and fought Lelouch in Gawain. Gefjun disturber has also featured more than several times in the series so far, it disables sakuradite powered machines and have been used to disable Lancelot several times... The Shirley disrespect was some real clown shit too. Like why Shirley care about revealing her murderer in her final moments? All she wanted to do was help Lelouch and lift some of the burden he is carrying, including ones related to her, which she was able to do. All that shit is way more important to her

And it's fine if you don't like the alternate ending. But if you want to make any sense of the new Code Geass series that's coming, then the original TV series ending wouldn't be considered "canon" anymore.

2022-09-04 16:15:38 +0000 UTCThis episode is one of the reasons why a lot of people in the fandom hated Rolo so much. His overall personality was already bad enough as it is, then his motivation for helping Lelouch sucked, and lastly killing Shirley was just the icing on top of that dumpster fire cake. I really do hope you plan on watching the Code Geass OVAs and movie as well after season 2. The OVAs are pretty much a condensed version of the first 2 seasons, minus the "fillers" and with changes done to the story that ties into the movie and leads towards the alternate ending... and I believe the upcoming new season of Code Geass is supposed to utilize the alternate story path (OVA + movie) instead of the ending from this TV series.
