I think they spoke Demon god but it was rare because they only did so for trading. Additionally many of the town probably didn’t speak at all. They all probably thought in Demon god but I doubt that most of the town ever really spoke since only the people dealing with outsiders needed to actually speak.

How inconsiderate can people be? This is just the curse for good anime shows, spoilers everywhere. Probably when we get into the last season there will be spoilers trending on twitter as well like people do for Attack on titan. Just sad.
